Our squad is bloated. We need to move out 2-3 players before signing anyone.
Maybe if we did move out Lingard/Mata it would at least increase our chance of seeing Facundo quicker.

Do you think we will move out anyone before the end of domestic window with the squad so bloated?

The €15m Roma paid to United for Chris Smalling will be payable over four years. €5m in bonuses will be paid if Roma win the Champions League.

How fitting would it be for those self-important twats to bend over and sell him to their Bavarian big brother next summer...
Felt this was ok the cards. Both Dortmund and the player we happy to wait for hint of fetch a mega fee. And he probably will. He and Mbappe will be the next Hazard, Griezmann, Dembele type signings. Just a question of who bags them. Based on our inability to pay we look an unlikely destination. Liverpool if they move Mane or Salah or even Firminho for a decent fee, would I imagine be preferable over us due to Klopp. Chelsea if Roman continues his spending is the easy choice given he's a fan. We seem to have botched this one.

Seems that deep down we weren't willing to push the boat out for him in the end so do expect him to go elsewhere now when he leaves Dortmund.

Somewhere who have people on their board who actually understand football and not a pair of business clowns. They won't mess him around like we have clearly done by the looks of it.

Salah and Mane will be 29 before next season starts..
Do you think anyone is making a mega bid for either in this financial climate? Madrid are the only ones who probably could.. and I think they are saving up for Mbappe. PSG wont be interested .. they have toned down their crazy spending for now.
Madrid can't. They tap runneth dry for everyone. You're about to see big big problems in football.

And people said we are at fault for ignoring Roma and acting very unprofessional. Feck off to all knee jerkers. Ed was right to ignore them.

There were rumours that his agent offered him to another club at a lower price (presumably lower agent fees?). The other club refused the offer as it was considered still too high

At that price and those terms, I'd say we were right to hold out for as much as we could get. We've done right to Mike and let him go where he wanted. Case closed, no shame on us.

It's probably if they qualify for Champions League rather than winning it

What absolute load of tosh about Liverpool. The same club who spread the Jota fee over a number of years, are going to somehow stump up 120m euros for Sancho.

We are not signing anyone else since we can't register them for Champions League.

I would gladly welcome someone like Benrahma but we are done in this window imo, we might still sell someone though.
There is lots of games so you still could sign them and add to CL squad in January.
