Wayne Rooney has been crap for a little while now and yet he still remains.
He had a decent season. Towards the end he was poor but before that was pretty good. Di Maria started off well, the odd flash of quality but apart from that not just bad, he was like taking the worst Nani ever was at United and multiplying it by 10 sometimes. I would keep him and give him another chance but if he wants to go and we get a big fee and get a quality team player like Pedro in, I'm fine with it.

You need to look at the transfer window as a whole not chronologically.

In
Schweinsteiger
Schneiderlin
Depay
Darmian
Pedro
Cillesen
(Ramos)
Romero

Out
De gea
Di Maria
Nani
Van persie
Valdes

That's not at all bad

We would be ok without Di Maria, he barely made an impact last season plus he appears not to be arsed.
DDG leaving is a problem, but MUFC will have finish higher next season than we did this season IMO.
AdM barely made an impact , oh yeah I forgot all his assists were flukes and how do you get the impression he can't be arsed, his form tailed off in the second half of the season but there are many reasons for that. If he does go it will be a major mistake.

Although this isn't the most likely scenario, it is without a doubt the worst one.

I still think woody isn't silly enough to le di maria go without at least letting him have a sit down with lvg first. so for me it's pedro + di maria
I cannot see us letting him go unless he really desperately wants to leave, with the signings in midfield we made he will have more freedom to express himself and we need his creativity without him having to track back all the time

Losing our two most talented players is bad.

Being willing to play in Ligue 1 at only 27 shows a distinct lack of ambition imo. We'll be better off without him

When you list them like that it looks like we're trapped in one of my Football Manager saves. Really puts into perspective how muppet-tastic we are!

What's happened up to now has been fantastic, if we carry on with your list of what hasn't happened yet it will be pretty mediocre

One of the mods obviously saw that we had bought Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger this summer, assumed that we were Liverpool (cause those players would only sign for a top top team la) and thought that this was RAWK.

There really is too much noise about Di Maria now for there not to be anything going on. For us to get our money back on him they'd have to pay €85.5mill, which I can't see happening.
Seems like a really strange decision by the club if he goes for a hefty loss after one year.

It's embarrassing from our perspective.

Listen guys, lookat the transfer fees, if it looks like bollocks then 100% it is.

<redacted> and we're not going to take a loss on Di Maria.
The prices are largely irrelevant. De Gea / Di Maria are probably the most talented players in our squad and will likely (if rumours are to be believed) be replaced with worse players. Would be a huge step back unless there's a few more more 'ins' than touted.

And to think ... I used to masturbate into the early hours of the morning because we signed Henning Berg and Teddy Sheringham. Now people are getting up in arms at how "mediocre" our transfer business will be if we buy Pedro on top of a load of other signings. This is what its like to be a muppet club.

Still find it hard to believe he wanted out that badly.

LVG maybe did a u turn on him.
Especially after his quotes at the end of the season saying how much he wants to kick on next season.

One of my pet peeves is those tweets where they quote someone and the first Word is always a name then a question mark.

"Pedro? I spoke to him and.."

"Schweinsteiger? Its up to him"

"Benzema? We will speak to his agent"

The hilarious thing is that when these reports first came about we all laughed at the audacity of psg. Now they may have taken one of our best players for a reduced fee after a year :lol:

If di maria leaves this club before evans ffs :lol:

He did make those comments towards the end of last season about ADM not doing well adapting to his team strategy. Maybe it's escalated between the two of them in private.

"Players have to adapt to the team philosophy and Di Maria has to do that," he said ahead of United's match with Arsenal.

"Can Di Maria learn? That we have to wait and see. It is not because he doesn’t have the quality. He has to perform in a way that we want. Not in the way I want, but in the way we want as a club.

"When someone is sick for example, they have to change their behaviour. But it’s not easy — the old errors always come. And Di Maria is not playing at the moment."

This is all speculation btw. It don't matter if they cranked up rumors. That's all we have to go on. I would expect him to be a United player still on the 25th

Di Maria is a pussy if he runs off to the French league after one season here.
This is how I view it too. If he can't hack it and doesn't want to be here then let him go and get as much as possible. I don't get the embarrassing view at all? Only embarrassing for him.

It would be a shame as I think he can play on another level to many in our team but I suspect the decision ultimately lies with him and he may bottle it.

Football, bloody hell.
You're talking as if he's already gone, why? because some french journalist has stirred all this up and everyone is following one story which is being regurgitated ad nauseam
Mate, he's off.

I'm disappointed but not surprised. Had very little impact for the most part and doesn't seem the type to have the stomach for a battle. Makes complete sense if we can get the vast majority of our outlay back, one more poor season and we're looking at a massively reduced fee or even having to loan him out. Pedro could easily have more of an impact and be a better fit, even if he doesn't have quite the same individual brilliance on the ball.
