Surely he needs to get the boot first with Penny Mourdant becoming leader so the Tories can reclaim some votes from racists?Tweet

Fantastic podcast I listen to daily. The News Agents podcast covers all of this today and they nail every single point. The whole thing is so fecking odious and offensive to everyone (except racists, because the Conservatives don't want to anger them).
What on earth

Of course not... the Tories have lost the GE already and to most of their MP's (who are bothering to stand again) it just depends how many of them think they will retain/lose their seats, under Rishi. The PM's authority is shot, but there is no big move against him," is how political editor Beth Rigby summarises the current mood in the Tory party.
Lining their pockets on the way out.We would accept another £10m from Hester, says Tory minister.
Just about sums the Tories up.
To be fair, if Rishi personally wins us the Euros and brings Team GB record gold medals I'll vote tory.

This is why it's best to vote Tory. If things had gone well for them then we'd all be better off. Imagine how bad things would've been if Corbyn had gotten into power! We'd have a cost of living crisis or something!

Since he won't answer you I'll respond;what about Diane Abbott makes her bad at her job?
Her local constituency overwhelmingly votes for her and she has a strong approval rate of the people she serves.
Is she your MP? Or perhaps have you taken part in any town halls she’s hosted?
Sounds just like him!Since he won't answer you I'll respond;
Hurrrrrrrrrrr fokin woke

The Tories will not hand back donations from Frank Hester because he “apologised” for remarks about Diane Abbott and condemned racism, Downing Street suggested.
The Prime Minister’s press secretary told reporters after PMQs: “Obviously donations are a matter for CCHQ (Conservative Campaign Headquarters) and you’re welcome to go to them.
“I’ll reiterate though, he has apologised for these alleged remarks. He has said very clearly on the record that racism is abhorrent; very strong words.
“And ultimately he has been donating to the most diverse Cabinet in history, led by the first non-white prime minister.”

Oh he understands perfectly fine. It's the people he's dog whistling to who do not.The Bar Council should suspend all barristers activities until the tories take back these ridiculous claims. Starmer never seems to respond to it either at PMQs. afraid of making it a bigger deal. he should just call Rishi a stupid twat for not understanding how the legal system works...
So despite being good at her job, her continuents loving her and being a longstanding MP with overwhelming support at local elections - oh and being a Cambridge graduateShe's a bit thick and extremely combative. A hit in any walk of life and especially politics.
That's it pure and simple, happens every week. This week – as is often the case – there was not enough time to call all members who wanted to ask a question.
Have you watched her interviews where she umms and ahhs for a while then freezes and goes blank? It's like watching a computer crash. So despite being good at her job, her continuents loving her and being a longstanding MP with overwhelming support at local elections - oh and being a Cambridge graduate
You just think she's a bit thick and 'combative' (a trope thrown at black people, especially women lazily & unjustly) - and have no facts to back it up.
Got it.
The trouble is, when Abbott has an off day or skews something up in an interview (like anyone really), it becomes front and centre in the headlines, and she's disproportionately labelled a laughing stock and becomes a proverbial punching bag for the right to ridicule. The same level of ridicule and scrutiny isn't aimed at her white or male peers, and certainly not those in the conservative party.Have you watched her interviews where she umms and ahhs for a while then freezes and goes blank? It's like watching a computer crash.
She'd probably be good at her job if she was 'just' an MP campaigning for local issues but shes not, shes high up in shadow government campaigning on national issues. And there shes terrible. One of the worst there has been in living memory and a big part of the reason the last Labour shadow government failed so spectacularly.
Wait till you hear about Boris Johnson as PM pal.Have you watched her interviews where she umms and ahhs for a while then freezes and goes blank? It's like watching a computer crash.

Did you not think today was an exceptional circumstance given she was both subject and victim? Or, is she less of a person for you than a stick which Labour can use to beat the Tories? That's it pure and simple, happens every week.
I am not the biggest fan of Hoyle, but he's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't, she wasn't listed, end of!
She's seventy! I'd agree that she was past her best when Corbyn brought her back, but there's an almost daily parade of white men fecking up just badly on television.Have you watched her interviews where she umms and ahhs for a while then freezes and goes blank? It's like watching a computer crash.

Yeah, extremely disingenuous to suggest that she was just going to ask about potholes in Hackney or something like any other backbencher at PMQs. This was very clearly an exceptional situation which any Speaker with a brain and an ounce of courage would have responded to appropriately.Did you not think today was an exceptional circumstance given she was both subject and victim? Or, is she less of a person for you than a stick which Labour can use to beat the Tories?
There is a daily parade of backbench politicians fecking up but its a different one each time and they do a bit of damage limitation before shuffling away never to be seen again. She (was) frontbench, screws up on a regular basis, and reacts quite nastily when called out on it. Racism is an easy excuse here. Shes disliked because shes a horrible politician. Same as George Galloway, Nigel Farage or any of the other stains on politics. The trouble is, when Abbott has an off day or skews something up in an interview (like anyone really), it becomes front and centre in the headlines, and she's disproportionately labelled a laughing stock and becomes a proverbial punching bag for the right to ridicule. On the balance of things she's had a pretty distinguished career, and a bit of a trailblazer herself considering she was the first black female MP and has been one for almost 40 years, a popular one at that.
She's by no means a perfect representation of a parliamentarian, bit she's hardly the clown act she's depicted to be, certainly no more so than much of her peers. I do feel that its racism that's made her such an 'acceptable' target for ridicule and abuse.
Umming and ahhing is literally what every politician does, bring up any interview with any politician on the front bench and they're doing the same - if thats the benchmark for which you are measuring her against then you need to apply the same critiques to every politician.Have you watched her interviews where she umms and ahhs for a while then freezes and goes blank? It's like watching a computer crash.
