He definitely needs to go after this latest travesty! Out!!!
They do but based on our average points per game we are on course for a 6 point improvement over the course of the season. Unlike last season, we are not going to have an injection of Fernandes in January, unless Amad turns out amazing, so are we going to sustain that 12 points from now onwards?12 points at this stage of the season from previous season.
You can analyze every goal scored and conceded to find whataboutism's. Results matter and those say: 12 points better after 24 gameweeks.
Unfortunately there is a minor plague of dickheads that will not be satisfied after a 4 goal win away from homeWhat is it with people that just loves being miserable?
But, but, but, if you look at it from this angle here.....or maybe from this side. Ah, if you take away the biggest results, ignore the points won and then compare it to....
Why?! Hard to grasp really
Well done, Ole, great win and performance today. Undefeated away from home in the league for 13 months soon too. Nice!
2nd in the League so far. Above everyone‘s expectations that...
I’m sorry guys, but you will have to live with him at least until the summer. If we secure top 4, you will have to live with him longer. We are actually seeing progress despite a hitting a couple of speedbumps lately. This squad is not the final product, and the summer window might be a really interesting one...
As long as the arrows are pointing upwards and we are not stagnating, why not enjoy the ride?

We are going to have to up our form if we do so. I would be happy with a 12 point improvement at the end, but 6 points seems a bit low, and I think it leaves us at risk of not even getting into the top four. It will be nice for it to be a comfortable placing, and that will show improvement on the table on top of the improving entertainment.
Alright, I probably didn't write that well. At the moment there is a 12 point difference between match 24 this season and last season. However, our second half of last season was so ridiculous in terms of results it rocketed our average points. What
I think Ole is doing a good jobPep a amazing coach not doubt about it but he been out coached a few times by Ole in games. Must be our superior players then only reason we get results against them, as it can't be the miles behind coaching that people are saying.
The big games have been duller this season (IMO) not because we have changed our approach that much, more that those teams have changed the way they play against us. We need to adapt to that, and the cup win over Liverpool was a big step in the right direction.I don't really get negative over football. If find it boring, I just stop watching as I did midway through Van Gaal's second season.
We are better to watch (more often than not) than recent seasons which is the whole point, to be honest. Games against the top teams have been lacking in entertainment, though. Liverpool FA Cup was good, however.
I think we have fallen behind the second half of last season, but that was unsustainable. I think we won all but 1 or 2 matches or something like that, and those were draws. That is pretty much City 17/18 form.
I just think we have quite a long way to go to reach Man City.
People put too much importance on points totals IMO. It is a way of measuring progress, or lack thereof, but using that as a sole measurement requires the assumption that the overall strength of the league has also remained the same, and I personally feel that this league is stronger in depth than it was last season.Alright, I probably didn't write that well. That is why when you average the points this season, you only end the season with 6 points improvement, not 12. Its just extrapolating average form as a prediction of where we will be. We will have to improve our form to reach 12 points improvement at the end.
I don't think 6 points improvement is enough (72 points in total) to completely secure top four this season. Liverpool and Chelsea are unpredictable. Leicester is a threat. But 78 points should be relatively comfortable (12 point improvement on last season).

We do still have a lot going for us right now. 1 league defeat in 18, unbeaten away for over a year. We are hard to beat. Its easy to see our shortcomings and its also easy to see what we need to do to improve, and that is very encouraging in my view. Im very confident that we will be a better team next season, and thats all that anybody can really hope to expect.
One thing looks likely. The way our luck seems to go in cup draws we are going to have to win one the hard way.Really hard to beat. Not sure how some folk can't see the team spirit and performances on the attacking front are day and night compared to the first full year of Ole tensure.
Their clear improvement on pitch and off the pitch.
At same time a trophy is massive this season. Finishing 2nd cements the improvement in the league but I think Ole needs a trophy, mostly to get the monkey of his back and show he's a winner.
I've all the faith he can do it this season.

No luck included this year regarding draw. I can't remember when EL was this strong. Roma, United, Leicester, Milan, Spurs, Arsenal, Napoli, Benfica... this year it is you are going for it or notOne thing looks likely. Sevilla are the Europa League kings though, it's not like we got knocked out by Qarabag or LASK.After Sevilla last year hard to call. Still baffled how we didn't score in that game. Reckon we still be playing then now and still haven't scored
No doubt we will be going all out for this trophy. Any trophy. This team needs one and so does Ole.No luck included this year regarding draw. I can't remember when EL was this strong. Roma, United, Leicester, Milan, Spurs, Arsenal, Napoli, Benfica... this year it is you are going for it or not
I think that we are no1 favourites too but it will be tricky. No doubt we will be going all out for this trophy. Any trophy. This team needs one and so does Ole.
I remember the year we won it with Jose the list of teams looked very strong at the last 16 stage. They all knocked each other out. I don't see a team here that we wouldn't be favourites to beat over two legs, as long as we play somewhere close to our ability.
neither Busby or Fergie were averse to breaking records for “shiny new things”. Of course, some will contest this but since the takeover, a lot of these shiny new things have not been the choice of the manager and the manager’s choice has often, clearly been denied. If they’d wind their fecking necks in and let managers manage we’d be seeing a more rounded shape with successive teams - and not just Ole’s teams. “The United way” has always been to back the manager and let him manage.Name any player other than Shaw who has actually improved under Ole and that is actually at a level required for us.
It's as simple as that, most of the squad have stagnated during his time and they're practically the same as they were when Ole took the job.
Stop going on and on about the lack of quality players, Ole has shown nothing during his time with us that he can help develop players and getting in more quality players will still lead to the same issues in the long run and it'll only cost more to fix the squad.
The Man Utd way was supposed to be bringing in young talents and developing them into world class players under Sir Alex and Sir Matt, and yet everybody just wants to bring in new shiny signings because they've given up on the young players we have developing any further.
Ole is not going anywhere !! Ed and the parasites love what he is doing. He takes so much pressure of them. He would have to come 8th and out of Europa before they even think of sacking him. With results like other night it is the last thing on their mind.
Our best chance ?The man is our best chance of reclaiming our former glory.
Yeah, not sure how I can be so deluded really. There’s nothing in it for me, that’s for sure. Our best chance ?
How can you be so deluded
In fairness it’s gone way darker than that, apparently he’s stopped doping themBy the way, do people remember how posters on here were blaming Ole for our injury issues last season - all the injuries being muscular, and that is because of poor man management?
Would only be fair if we start calling Klopp's rotation terrible in that case
I think he is doing a good job. The point I'm making is that you don't hear much moaning about the Glazers and Ed because of what Ole has achieved thus far. This will change over summer though if they do not help him out in the transfer market. Ole is not like Mourinho moaning and bitching at press conferences and I think Ed would love that. As long as we are up the top part of the league and having deep runs in the cups Ed will never get rid of him.You seem to implying he not doing a good job?
Or is it he doing a brilliant job it's taking the heat of the fact they missed the boat that summer to properly invest in the sqaud?
Maguire is not expected to live up to the tag someone placed on him or priced him. He is living up to being our best defender for a while who just needs someone to compliment him. Ole made him captain, before we had Bruno and at that stage who would you have captained? He was trying to build his own side.Maguire has not and will never live up to that price tag. There were other better options available and Ole signed off on a record deal on a good but not world class CB. That falls on him along with prematurely naming him captain.
Ole wanted a bigger squad yet has failed to incorporate VDB into the first team instead opting to play two holding midfielders against shit opposition. He continues to reward Lindelof with starts even though Axel showed more promise early in the season and should have been given a run of games after his performance in Paris. It’s this type of inconsistency, which is maddening. While Shaw and McTominay have improved, Martial has significantly regressed, our set piece defending is 3rd worse in the league and we look clueless in attack against teams like West Brom and SU. Ole’s tenure to date can be summed up as one step forward and two steps back.
I saw the result. It's meaningless to me. Still the same brittle team who will inevitably choke when any pressure is on, so what's the point?Yeah he just missed a 4-0 away win in Europe. Shame

Other clubs normally change their manager when faced with that evidence. My stance is purely based on Ole not being good enough. Saw it last season with 3 semi final defeats, and saw it this season with the laughable collapse in CL, and PL once went top. What's meaningless to me is going on a nice run when the pressure is off. It counts for nothing if all you're going to do is bottle it when you get a bit of pressure.People should just stop watching football then as vast majority of a teams time is meaningless in grand scheme of things as if you don't win that league or champs league what is the actual point
With this attitude, 99% of teams would have no fansI saw the result. It's meaningless to me. Still the same brittle team who will inevitably choke when any pressure is on, so what's the point?
With Ole we are. Maybe we wouldn't be under another. With this attitude, 99% of teams would have no fans
Good grief, I think maybe football isn't for you, perhaps EastEnders or possibly Hollyoaks since you're so keen on drama.Other clubs normally change their manager when faced with that evidence. We are what? With Ole we are. Maybe we wouldn't be under another.
I agree, I think the best way to measure progress is to see how far you are from your goal. Our goal is/should be to win the league. So a good reference is how far, points wise, we are from it.People put too much importance on points totals IMO. It is a way of measuring progress, or lack thereof, but using that as a sole measurement requires the assumption that the overall strength of the league has also remained the same, and I personally feel that this league is stronger in depth than it was last season.
I've watched throughout the past 7 years, so obviously not because of that. As we've seen with Liverpool, you only get a few years to take advantage of a current team, and our current squad is at the strongest it's ever been so far. I would hate to see us waste this potential only to win nothing. We are what?
You only watch if you think we’re going to win competitions at the end of it all?
Lucky for you you’re not going to see it wasted either way, as you’ve stopped watchingI've watched throughout the past 7 years, so obviously not because of that. I'm not deluded. I can see where this is heading.Lucky for you you’re not going to see it wasted either way, as you’ve stopped watching
But which teams have actually got stronger? I'd argue only Westham AV and possibly Everton whereas teams like SU, Liverpool and WBA definitely aren't. Teams like Spurs, Chelsea (under Lampard), Arsenal, Southampton, Wolves haven't improved on last seasons form and the rest of the make up numbers teams are still doing just that. Leicester and ourselves are a constant, Leeds just plays suicidal football.People put too much importance on points totals IMO.
