This one will be big test for Ole. blah
It really wont. Next season will be his test. Against Watford it was for all to see in what shape our squad currently is and it wasn't pretty. Wolves beat us last time out because they're a good side and with so many of our important players in bad shape I can see them doing it again. This one will be big test for Ole. blah
Why are we still saying this after Mourinho has gone? He was the root problem of our poor football.Matic and Herrera will cost us the game if they are still in a stupor.
We need to somehow win ugly for the rest of the season.
Players haven't had a preseason and cannot implement Ole's tactics consistently. Hence, performances are bound to drop a bit.Why are we still saying this after Mourinho has gone? He was the root problem of our poor football.
Is 20 competitive matches (I think?) plus a couple of months training with Solskjaer, including a mini break, not enough time to nail down tactics? Not being funny but other squads seem to be able to change their style when a new manager comes in. Besides, we don't actually know what Solskjaers style is yet.Players haven't had a preseason and cannot implement Ole's tactics consistently. Hence, performances are bound to drop a bit.
Fa cup quarter final, they were super up for it, a lot of times when theres an upset like that if theres a game shortly after then I feel like the bigger team ends up getting the expected win. Like if we play them 10 times, of course theyll win occasionally, but you would expect us to win most of them, no matter how impressive they have been.Dunno why people are so confident in the score predictor. They played us off the park in the FA Cup.
Because lately we play like Jose is still our manager. Why are we still saying this after Mourinho has gone? He was the root problem of our poor football.
Agreed with all this. Win against Wolves would be huge thing. And that is why i am still angry on those ref clowns in Chelsea game.Assuming we draw at best to City, theres only really room for 1 game to slip up in after that. Looking at our fixtures, Wolves and Everton are the 2 trickiest (though theres Chelsea as well), so if we can get a win here it would be big IMO and give us room for 1 of those games to be a draw. Slim margins though.
True. My expectation of him is to make the right choice in order to make us win. His comments about United having to attack first and foremost is exiting, but I'm a bit afraid he might get too caught up in the pressure of the "we need to dominate" or "we need possession football". I mean, of course we do want it, but 3 points before anything and after Ole came in his strengths and key to get the most out of the squad was to worry about attacking with intent and defending with numbers. It worked with this squad and winning comes before everything at United. This will be an interesting game from the perspective that it will give us an indication as to how Ole operates in terms of tactical adjustments and his ability to react to previous encounters. The Wolves game was very recent, and therefore, we'll know a bit more about Ole (and the coaching staff) the tactical mind.
Some may even say it's his first real test. This will be an interesting game from the perspective that it will give us an indication as to how Ole operates in terms of tactical adjustments and his ability to react to previous encounters. It's not even with Chelsea tbf. Did the predictor a few times, I think Chelsea will drop off a bit. But always have United/Spurs/Arsenal finishing on 78/77/76 points (all 3 teams getting any of those 3 totals). Chelsea on 74 I think. Funnily enough it could come down to how everyone does against Everton (United and Arsenal away, Spurs at home). Wolves (United and arsenal both go away) as well.Agreed with all this. Win against Wolves would be huge thing. And that is why i am still angry on those ref clowns in Chelsea game.
Anyway my hope is that Wolves will rest some players for FA cup.

It's always overly optimistic. I can't see it being different to the cup game myself.Dunno why people are so confident in the score predictor. They played us off the park in the FA Cup.
You are probably right, but still, I think it can be debated. Ole likes to give the fridge players matches, and there are two players who may feel a bit disappointed if completely being left outside. Both Fred and McTominay were playing better every match, while Matic and Herrera have been so so after they came back from injury. Maybe this is game Fred has been knowing for a while that he´ll be playing. Or maybe both.Back 5
Matic
Herrera Pigba
Lingard
Lukaku Rashford
We know Matic and Herrera will start so let's not debate that.
That's actually a good point. And their league position is relatively secure. Shame it's not the other way around for us.Wolves might have their focus towards the weekend. Yes they are professionals and shouldn't let it affect them but no doubt many of them are dreaming about a cup win about now and what that to happen more than anything and that might work in our favor.
Also "easier" to win 2 games then keep up the streak and hope to secure 7th if Europa League is the goal. That's actually a good point. And their league position is relatively secure. Shame it's not the other way around for us.
Absolutely. Having just been promoted you'd expect the cup to be a much bigger allure than Europa League. Maybe that's silly of me - I'm thinking football not money windfallAlso "easier" to win 2 games then keep up the streak and hope to secure 7th if Europa League is the goal.
Totally agree.Do people expect the opposition not to try against us or something.Wolves have been good all season. This has to be one of the most annoying phrases I read on here. Last time I looked they've also won or drawn v Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man. City this season. Also beat Liverpool (b) in the cup.
They're saving points off Liverpool in the league for the final day.
