Very difficult to say. Prediction and hopes / dreams for the summer window are two very different things. But okay, my predictions for the summer;
Out:
Berbatov
Neville
Carrick
Cathcart
Vidic
Welbeck (loan)
C. Evans (loan)
And more youngsters out on loan

In:
Smalling
Hernandez
Benzema (loan - option to permanent deal)
Hamsik
Rodwell

Plus we get Cleverley back from loan.
I don't know about the goalkeeping department, maybe Foster / Kuszczak will be sold, but as Edwin van der Sar stays for another year, we might wait until next summer with the changes in the area..
that looks more of your hopes/dreams than it does reality mate. fair enough

Out:

Foster: "England's future No 1" to United's third choice in one easy season. Won't be content to warm his sofa while Kuzszcak warms the bench.
Neville, Scholes: Will possibly call it a day?
Welbeck: Out on loan, possibly PNE again?
Diouf: Out on loan to a Hull/Wolves type of team.

In: A good midfielder (probably not one of the usual suspects), possibly a goalkeeper (with a rotation system seeing VDS sharing game time with the newcomer and Kuz as back-up perhaps).

Personally I cannot imagine Berbatov or Carrick would be sold, but I would not be too upset at the prospect.

Hopefully we'll get a summer like 2007/8 where we get some surprise signings with F.A.P potential

Out

Scholes (have a feeling he will decide to walk, even though we will offer a contract)
Berbatov (just get it over with. We need a replacement to lift the fans and the team)

In

Smalling
Hernandez
Gourcuff/Milner/Modric/Banega/someone else
Maybe a striker.

Out on loan:

Several. A few at the start of the season, a couple more in January if they need games. I think Obertan and one of Macheda/Diouf will be loaned out.

Returning from loan:

Cleverly, James, Welbeck, Tosic

Stayers:

Neville will fight it out. Giggs will OBVIOULY stay. Carrick could possibly leave but I think will stay with a lesser role.

i think the exact same thing, especially with the distraction of the world cup to take the attention away from it.

in other news, carrick returning to newly promoted newcastle would be a move i could see happening, id like to see berb moving on but who would buy him!

i don't think that's happening this season as fergie will want to go on a high, mourinho still needs to win la liga, and i don't think he'd spend 19 million on smalling/mexican.
i know what you mean mate but who knows what talks are/have/may have been going on in private.

fergie prob will stay though

Across the Universe....from Old Trafford.
I forgot the goalkeeper department. I think with all the noise we are hearing, Foster is gone.

And if there is anything to the Milner story, firstly I don't see why we would need him. He is Ok..but really no better than..Villa quality. And 30 million???

What's with everyone saying Carrick will leave?

There is no way in hell he will leave, he is still our best midfielder (having a sub-par season).

We are constantly told that Ronnie's cash is in David Gill's safe so this is going to be a very interesting summer. Fergie's excuse of an inflated market last year is even more true after a World Cup so has he fibbed again? I can possibly see one or two big names (coming from Spain). Do pray Citeh make a stupid bid for you know who!

It's impossible to predict who is leaving until you predict who is coming and I don't do transfer muppetry :(

4. Our big name signing will be one, a creative midfielder for a really high fee.

Benzema deludes himself as expected. Sneijder had similar ideas too yet look where he is now. Once Villa/Pato and Ribery go there as expected, it will be curtains for him. He will be a really lucky man if he starts and finishes next season as a Real Madrid employee.

I believe by the time both Raul and Higuain will be gone. It'd be stupid to get rid of Higuain but I can see it happening.
Benzema earns good money while playing for his dream club, it may not have the season he hoped but he said putting after things back into perspective (his age, the first time he's been living alone, the language, the injuries, the competition up front) that it hasn't been a bad season.
I tend to believe him

Amidst squeaky bums.
I think the only leavers will be if either Neville or Scholes call it a day. Possibly Tosic, but that's it. Our squad's good, will be even better with a couple of additions; we just need our best players fit at the right times.
