I'm online for the next 4-5 hours.Who's about tonight that I can leave my picks with? Will be in the pub.....

My list is pretty good so far. All picks on it and with the exception of Krol and Rivera I had them down as first round picks. The feck, I didn't even know Law was eligible . I thought he was older for sure, maybe I should check a few names before my next pick.
Nope, sorry.
Ffs, delete that shit.
I actually don't even know who you're talking about, but I'm sure it's better if you delete it.
Hmmm. There's a couple I would.Law is a good vote-winner on this forum and a fantastic player to boot, one of the most all-rounded strikers ever. Not sure if I would pick any striker before him except for the already picked ones.
That's a bad thing in a draft like this where, ideally, it'd be excellent if people were objective first and foremost.Law is a good vote-winner on this forum and a fantastic player to boot, one of the most all-rounded strikers ever. Yeah, thought Law will last back to Aldo.
Aye, honestly couldn't think of another centre forward who I'd want above him in the remaining pool. 2 have good cases but Law' all-rounded game, tactical flexibility and the fact that he was a favourite of mine just gave him the edge.Law is a good vote-winner on this forum and a fantastic player to boot, one of the most all-rounded strikers ever. The United factor is always present in these drafts, I reckon - hard to avoid that. But probably less so - I would suspect - in this particular draft than in many others. It's Fergie's players who seem to be the chief vote pullers if we're talking so-called scan voters: Scholes, Keane, Beckham, Cantona...those might win you votes just by being on the team sheet. It's less likely with older players, IMO.That's a bad thing in a draft like this where, ideally, it'd be excellent if people were objective first and foremost.
There's no such thing as objective when it comes to fans rating football players in my opinion. That's a bad thing in a draft like this where, ideally, it'd be excellent if people were objective first and foremost.
I agree with you; just hope people don't 'have' to pick players because they're vote winners rather than what they would have initially gone for. That would be a shame. The United factor is always present in these drafts, I reckon - hard to avoid that. But probably less so - I would suspect - in this particular draft than in many others. But obviously the likes of Best and Law will get plenty of love on the Caf - that goes without saying. I doubt the United factor will be decisive here, though - there aren't enough obvious vote pullers in the pool for starters.
Why do you say that? If you can appreciate varying styles for what they are and rate accordingly, are you not being objective? There's no such thing as objective when it comes to fans rating football players in my opinion.
Nope. How can you be objective? What's an objective measurement of quality in a football player? Even stats or trophies don't tell the full story. Obviously you shouldn't be completely biased towards players of your own team or something like that. But objective? I don't buy it. There's always something you like or dislike about a player and it always influences you, but maybe doesn't someone else. It's perfectly normal to disagree on players, not only how they're rated but also their strengths and abilities, even their style of play, which really shouldn't be the case. Still happens though, all the time. Why do you say that? If you can appreciate varying styles for what they are and rate accordingly, are you not being objective?
Immediately after each pick, I presume. If Aldo posts his pick at 00:00 I have until 08:01 to post mine. When does the 8 hrs time limit start?
Well, objective would be taking your recognised biases aside and looking at the player in question with those preferences you recognise in yourself removed. There's a lot of players I loathe and others I don't find pleasing to selection of what makes a favourite player, but I'd like to think I give them their due and will rate them above what I personally like if they are more effective at what they do than my preferred style of player/system etc.Nope. I've had him before and he never was a vote winner for me and Pat/Skizzo would say the exact same thing. Just a favourite of mine and the pick made sense to me after looking at the quality and the depth of striker pool.I'm not even sure Law is a serious vote winner on here. I've even seen Sir Bob being underrated in drafts and i'm near certain Law hasn't got the credit he deserves previously.
K. I kinda figured it had already started as there's nothing about it in the op. Lol, Marty.Immediately after each pick, I presume. If Aldo posts his pick at 00:00 I have until 08:01 to post mine.

Yeah I'd agree with that. Great player, and tactically flexible, but doesn't sway like a pele, maradona, or a keane, scholes. wonderful player to have though.I've had him before and he never was a vote winner for me and Pat/Skizzo would say the exact same thing. Aye, looks that way. Could turn out well for us, though: He has Law in mind, comes home plastered, checks the Caf, realizes Law is gone - and in a fit of drunken rage goes for an insane Plan B before passing out.Has marty gone to get pissed without leaving his picks?
I don't know. Why ask if anyone can take your picks, then feck off immediately?
Agreed on everything except him being a good vote winner on this forum. I hope Joga can turn it around for him though .Law is a good vote-winner on this forum and a fantastic player to boot, one of the most all-rounded strikers ever.
