Valencia have not lost at the Bernabéu since 2010. Lim held meetings this week and Pako seems not the top choice to continue next season. Pako knows he has to get a result today to guarantee that contract next season.

Real/Valencia games do tend to be quite good. The 0-0 draw at the Bernabeu in 2012 is probably the best goalless draw I've ever seen.

That game had absolutely everything but goals.

Oh yeah that was a great game. I think it was under Mourinho. Real created plenty of chances but so did Valencia and infact the better chances on the break. That game could have easily finished 4-4.

Personally I would not renew Ayestarán . It may not be his fault but I would start the season with an experienced coach. Football is changing and every day is less necessary a coach with a lot curriculum to make things work, but in the case of Valencia I think that they need some stability.
After Nuno and Neville I am sure that fans are eager to see someone with caché.

That seems to be the general sentiment around atm. That Pako has done a good job but does not have much experience as head coach. I don't know what to think tbh that Roma coach Rudi Garcia might be the best possible option right now. I don't know much about him but i read an article about him a while ago and he seems similar to Nuno in that he likes to play fast paced football with quick transitions. That same style that worked so well for Valencia last season. It said that he had great success with it at Roma but once the club started to buy players who did not fit this style it quickly began to go downhill for him. Tbh it sounds like it could easily happen at Valencia too with the constant meddling of Mendes with transfers. Any manager coming in has to be flexible and realize he may not have full control of transfers.

Anyone who's sharp on La Liga, can you let me know if the Sevilla team is weakened? Odds are very generous

I really dislike these early hour La Liga games.

Let's destroy these bastards and hope for a surprise from Valencia and a miracle at Levante. We have no excuses.

Gonna be hard, but Simeone has never won in the Ciutat de Valencia, 2 loses and 2 draws the last 4 years

Madrid up to second as it stands. Still need a miracle in one of Barca's games for it to matter though.

Ref has shafted us in the first half.

Onside goal dismissed, clear penalty, and at least a red card to Perez. We need to score a second goal and finish this.

Was Benzema offside?
It looks like Espanyol are assaulting Barca.
And Torres has been Atletico's only player with threat, amazing finish and some good runs.
