We're getting a manager who was sacked for a second time by the same club, and has sat and listened to every so called pundit go over all his mistakes and how he may have "lost it".

Every word spoken, every word written in that ilk does nothing but stoke the fire and give the man a drive to succeed. This is only good news for Utd.

I am very interested to see what Jose is going to do with Rooney and our captain situation. What do you guys think will happen?

Jose is a Rooney fan, so I think he'll keep him as a the captain, but he won't get a free pass and start every match like under LvG I'd imagine. Considering Mourinho is hunting Benzema and/or Zlatan according to the media it looks like he might use him as a CM.

Anyone can read what this says?
I see Mou got his dirty mittens on LvG's notebook

Edit: Also I would love to hear some viable alternatives from these pundits that are on their high horses about us appointing Mourinho.

Ancelotti - gone
Conte - Gone
Klopp - Gone
Blanc - Not proven enough
Guardiola - Gone
Simeone - Wont come, atleast not yet
Tuchel - Not proven enough yet
Allegri - Meh

Who is left, Alan Pardew?

Wonder if he is right and the whole sacking was a mendes/Mourinho scam once they realised LVG was in trouble. Maybe Woodward was in on it as well![/QUOTE]

I said something similar to a mate of mine yesterday. His reply was " some f*****g conspiracy theory that is"

Second day of talks. Must be a pretty complex contract.
Doubt it. I can't think of many examples where a manger is signed within 4 days of the current one being sacked. Especially when you consider most the 'talks' between us and Mendes/Mourinho are over the phone and not face to face.

Can't stand Jomo. Could never stand Maureen (I mean wtf).

Jose Mourinho will do. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

I don't get the slang in general. "Manure" "Rags" "Rent boys" "Shitty" etc. is really sad. I get scouse because they are actually called scousers but the other ones are fecking childish. Rawk/Bluemoon-esque

Jurgen Klopp was formally announced on Thursday after Rodgers sacking was confirmed on Sunday and Klopp too was all but finalized. Natural to expect 2-3 days at least in between sacking and new appointment even if already decided.

It would probably have been announced yesterday if not for his Jaguar contract, I guess it will happen this afternoon or tomorrow.

Can't blame a guy for wanting to drive his Jaguar over a Chevrolet.

We do drag our feet. Odd because if we have been in contact for so long it seems strange that these slight problems re image rights would have been looked into a long time ago.

Just hope our transfer's this summer don't drag as much as previous years. Van Gaal blocked transfers, Moyes dithered- how much fault in these were down to Woodward we will never know, just hope that having had 3 summers now worth of dealings that Woodward has earned some respect of sorts in those circles because its ok having Mourinho at the helm but if you have a bumbling fool at the end of the process it does not matter how big a draw the manager is.

If Woodward pulls off Mourinho which looks likely at this stage and then gets some signings in pre Euro 2016 before prices inflate then we could be in for a good summer/start to the season.

Mourinho must have done his homework and he does seem the kind of manager who signs players who will fit his system rather than buying for the sake of it- not saying he has never done that- Falcao at Chelsea, Salah, Cuadrado all seemed like poor panic buys, but with full control on transfers here without an Abramhovic or Perez forcing players on him we might just become a more well rounded unit.

At the moment i am 50/50 on how this will all play out- it could be a stroke of genius, manager with a point to prove who some say stock has dropped and is tactically outdated at a club who has been ridiculed for 3 years in a similar position but still one of the biggest names in football- we could gel and see a decent 5 years- he could finally have found the club that suits his demeanor - or it will crash and burn- we can only be optimistic after Van Gaal and Moyes but we know there are no guarantees.

Roll on a summer of muppetry and the new season!

Which country are you from?

He's famous in UK as the boss of The Apprentice TV show. He's harmless: used to own spurs. He makes me laugh.

Not based from the UK. Used to travel there a lot but to be honest never followed TV that much. First time I hear about him.

I don't think people should entertain that idea seriously. While I can't be sure of that weasel Mendes I don't question Jose's professionalism.

So the issues they're hashing out is whether Jose will drive to work in a Chevy or a Jag. Real world problems. :wenger:
Imagine if the deal fell apart because Chevrolet refused to let Jose honour his Jag deal ...

...:nervous:

I'm beginning to get very excited about Mourinho coming in.

It will be nice to have a manager who is decisive in the transfer market and won't dither over signings.

After 2 seasons of LVG plonking himself on the bench and very rarely moving from it, a manager who shows a bit of passion will be a refreshing change (and all this shit LVG spouted about not leaving the bench because he had instructed the players made me mad; the players take their lead from the manager, if he shows no passion then the players won't either).

Press conferences will still be entertaining.

Everyone else hates Jose and will hate us even more - the way it should be.

Jo Mo? Yuck! Needs binning asap:D

On another note lads - @Acquire Me is surely the only ITK that's come through for us (since I've been on the CAF), surely that deserves some recognition????
The best one was the West Ham fan who kept us all clued in to the Tevez signing at every stage before the press... It was epic, like Twitter before it became a thing!

It will be nice to have a manager who does things regular football watchers think are correct and will get the players to play football most people will want to see. I'm looking forward to that.
