I offer a classy left-winger/Left FW and I get West Bromwich Albion. Good.

The best one to get IMO
I think Isotope picked him in a draft before, hope he's rated high around here.

Carrick, Schneider, Scholl, Ince, Ginola are all excellent ones given the pool.

You can't , I can and will . Kuyt would have probably been my pick for an ultimate sheep
He's not completely useless in the right sort of system, one could argue. But yeah - I won't lie, he was probably the least desirable option in the pool.

Reinforcements:

Pool: Losing Teams

Every team will suffer 2 players (picked at random) being suspended/injured from previous round's starting 11 before every round. Reinforcements will be in snake format, order reversed.
Just catching up on the OP and have a quick question on this part.

In the last reality draft you ran the suspended player came back after the missed round i.e. they were suspended for the quarters and came back from the semi-final.

Is that the same here as it is not clear in the OP from what I can see.

I don't even want to think about the amount of times I've called him dirk shite.

Actually, what you get is the '08 CL winning Ginger Marvel - who's highly rated on here. Not too shabby when you think about it: He gets all kinds of goodwill, plus objectively he wasn't half bad as a defensively sound (but still functional offensively) fullback, and he proved himself in that very role at the highest European level.

You're in more trouble if you're forced to field him centrally, mind - so you'll just have to pray you won't be given a right back from the DoF pool.

There is such a huge gap in quality between a lot of these legacy picks .

I for one vote for a do-over

Come on @Edgar Allan Pillow , almost any Liverpool player is a disadvantage on this forum , let alone one unequivocally agreed upon to be absolute dogs dirt . He should never have been allowed.

Do I have to play him ? Can he be tevezd?

Aye, Brown is a very solid and dependable right back. Especially in a back four. The downside is the relative lack of versatility and you should go with 4 defenders as a backline, but IMO is a better pick than some other key positions.

Yeah he's decent.

I'm the right coach for him :D

Without a doubt. Carrick, Hargreaves and Motta are also great, especially because it's normal to have a holding midfielder who doesn't outshine his more attacking partners

You can easily play him as an RCB in the back 5, imo

I can empathise with you having gotten Keown myself in the last Reality Draft. Arguably the worst player on that Legacy list and a despicable Arse cnut to boot too - his shenanigans against van Nistelrooy are still fresh on my mind.

Solskjaer
Angelo Di Livio
Miguel Angel Nadal
Mascherano
Ljungberg
Brolin
Zambrotta
M. Senna
Enzo Francescoli
Fernando Morena
Gallas
Cocu
Puyol
Prosinečki
Camoranesi
Keown

If you offered me a chance between Kuyt and Keown, I'd have snapped your hands off for Kuyt, well pretty much anyone really. Keown was a pretty significant liability for me in my first match and that ape was regarded as a reckless, brain-dead, error strewn and ultimately a catastrophic presence at the back for me. Okay I'm overstating things a bit but you get my point.

Kuyt ain't so bad really and I've never really got the feeling that United fans had any strong feelings for him, esp given that he's an ex-Pool player. I'm more or less indifferent to him myself but he is a nice tactical weapon to have in your arsenal and he does give you some options and flexibility; allowing you to go for top-heavy set-ups with his industry, tactical malleability and selflessness being an excellent counter-weight to the more flashy prima-donna stars. After all you don't win 100 caps for Netherlands without being a decent player.

Here's a nice article on him

Dirk Kuyt sat patiently on the fringes, waiting for his chance. Stuck on 98 caps, he watched from the sidelines against Spain and Australia, wondering if he would ever join the 100 club.

The list of Oranje centurions is an impressive one. On Sunday, Kuyt became the seventh to reach triple figures, alongside such illustrious company as Edwin van der Sar and Frank de Boer.

He started his 100th game at left-wing-back and moved to right-back. WhenHolland needed to score, he moved to centre-forward. Towards the end, he was right-back again.

No one from outside the Holland camp thought he would reach a century in such unfamiliar territory, but Louis van Gaal had been plotting his new defensive role for five weeks. Away from the glare of the cameras, Kuyt had been prepped for it in training games since the squad convened in mid-May.

The milestone was made all the more poignant because it fell on the anniversary of his father’s death. When Klaas-Jan Huntelaar sent the ball past Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa, Kuyt sank to his knees and pointed to the sky. It was a touching moment – a victory the Fenerbahce player deserved to revel in.

Little wonder Robin van Persie singled him out in the dressing room at full-time. “We have given Dirk a very nice gift for his 100th international game. I had a little speech for him. I told him I am so proud of him and that he is an example for young and old,” Van Persie said. “There are only seven players who have reached this number of internationals in Oranje. He stayed a long time stabbing away on 98. It is fantastic, if anyone deserves this, it’s him.’’

The heat was so stifling in Fortaleza many of those in the stands moved into shaded seating. The mercury hit 38C at one point in the first half. Kuyt was playing on the left, the sun beating down. The second half should have given him some slight respite on the shaded section of the pitch. Instead, he was switched to the right.

While those around him wilted, Kuyt was red-faced but kept going. Rafael Benítez christened him Mr Duracell at Liverpool in 2009, when he was in his prime. Now 33, his work rate remains as extraordinarily high, his dedication never questioned.

If Van Gaal’s self-praise seemed a tad overbearing – “Did you see what I did?” the coach asked during his press conference, in case the change of formation went over the heads of some – he owed much to Kuyt.

Van Gaal’s relaying of instructions during the 75th-minute water break was akin to a basketball coach staging a time-out in the dying embers of the fourth quarter. All Van Gaal was missing was a whiteboard and marker.

Arjen Robben’s move to the right was credited as the key to their comeback, but Kuyt was as influential. He won the corner in the lead up to Wesley Sneijder’s equaliser and provided crucial support and cover behind Robben.

Sneijder made his 100th appearance against Spain, when Kuyt’s role was on the bench, but Van Gaal knew he could depend on him when called on.

Even Johan Cruyff, notoriously hard to impress, was effusive in his praise: “You’re blessed as a team when you have someone like him walking around. With Kuyt, you can, at a tactical level, go in all directions.”

There have been murmurs about Kuyt joining Van Gaal at Old Trafford. Initially, that sounded unlikely but his performance against Mexico proved he still has something to offer at the highest level.

Honestly he could have 10 ballon d'ors and I'd still hate him . If I'd been on this forum for 10 years my tagline would undoubtedly be to do with my hate for kuyt. He's just that player for me that no matter what you positive things you say I won't hear it. We all have one or more of those players , and he's mine.

Having said all that , it's actually kinda funny that I got him . Be prepared for hypocrisy at its finest once the matches begin

Pretty sure they come back, but you're right - it should be stated explicitly.

Another question would be: Can the same player fall victim to this randomization twice - or is X safe in the s-f if he's out injured in the q-f?

Lastly, it should be stated explicitly who can - and cannot - be struck by t-bola. You have to field your legacy man in round 1 as per the rules, so he's immune I presume. But both normally drafted and DoF awarded players can be struck?

How was it last time?

It's a huge disadvantage in some cases to have your DoF player struck while your opponent has a 3rd pick.

Last time you could lose your DoF players for both Tevez-Bola and also the one match suspensions.

Agree it could be harsh but it's part of the draft and generally worked quite well last time.

Don't bother. I balanced all nominations and added players for you too.

You have Mehmet Scholl as your Legacy pick. He should play in R1, so draft accordingly.

The T-bola player is blocked for all rounds. Injured players will come back next round. I'll add it in the OP.

Are you helping/AM'ing anyone?

Injuries are random. Same player can be stuck multiple times. Blame it on bad luck.

Yes, players 2-8 will be injured.

Will add this in OP too. Thanks.

Solskjaer a legacy player already attributed.
Ince the same

Why don't you pick some Legends of the Game?

Edit: I understand EAP has made the choices for you
