1. Breaking bad
2. Wire
3. Walking dead
4. Sopranos

Is my order. All fantastic though.
Walking Dead?!?! It had a great premise, a very strong start... then nothing but filler.

Season arc is;

AMAZING first episode, money spent on script writers, production, the whole 9
Weeks of filler where nothing happens
GREAT mid season cliffhanger episode, money spent everywhere again.
Weeks of filler where nothing happens
GREAT final episode, all of the monies spent again.

That's pretty much every season.

Watching your favourite TV shows with others was something I could never understand or do
Depends on the people.

My mother is a horror to watch anything with.

Today I learned that hte lead actor in Breaking Bad is the dad from Malcolm in the Middle... Why did no-one tell me before?! Am I the only one who never knew?

Anyway, it has me interested in watching the show. It's a good idea, right?

Yes, it´s a very good idea. In my opinion the first chapters are slow but don´t give up

It was only my two daughters told me that last week also and yes was unsure at the start but over the last 2 weeks got up to season 4. Let you decide for yourself but I can say really have got into it and enjoyed it.

The premise behind it and with it being Hal sold it for me :D

It's a very good show, I preferred the first seasons which I found slower and more character driven, it then becomes more fast paced and events escalate, but it remains consistently good with some genuinely excellent episodes along the way. Bryan Cranston is brilliant in it.

Started well and got better and better, peaking at the end of season 4. The final season was only slight less brilliant.

Hard to pick between this and The Wire for best show ever.

The Wire, comfortably. Then Sopranos. BB is great but it's a level below.

Comedy Central did a really cool little ad a while back of a mashup of MITM/Breaking Bad.

Worth watching but I thought it was overrated. A lot of it is mind numbingly repetitive.

How it manages to get the same rating as Game of Thrones, I'll never know.

It's much better than Game of Thrones.

I don't get the reverance for The Sopranos. So repetitive, like a violent sit-com. I think there is an element of fantasist-appeal, as a lot find the gangster life seductive, but aftet bingeing my way to the end, I felt a bit "meh!"
Still, maybe BB appealed more because I looked a bit like the lead character.

I was a bit the same. Loved it apart from the end, which was an outrageous cop out, but not quite as good as BB or The Wire IMO

Are you talking about BB? Repetitive?

And I love GOT but I wouldn't rate it higher than BB or The Wire even if slightly above The Sopranos

I wouldn't even have BB in my top five.

A really good, fun show with a lot of great modern Western thriller elements, but I don't think there's anything particularly groundbreaking about it. It's ultimately just a really well made show with great cinematography and acting that's very, very silly, but it does the silly really well.

Not a patch on The Sopranos, The Wire, or Mad Men.
