All this activity in this thread just makes me happy.. :D

There was a period of inactivity in between when they were mildly successful and on a run of results, but this return to reality is much to my liking. Long may it continue..

As fun as this is, I feel the glass is a little half full u til we're above them in the table again. That needs to happen by the end of next week really.

In the last 9 League games per game we have lost 1 point to Chelsea, 0.8 of a point to Spurs, 0.7 of a point to Arsenal and 0.5 of a point to United.
What does he mean by this?
Apparently Chelsea have taken 9 points more than Liverpool in the last 9 games, Spurs - 7.2, Arsenal - 6.3 and United - 4.5 points more. How that is possible is anyones guess though... Maybe the numbers are from the alternative league table where teams now get an additional 0.1 points for every long ball they play in windy conditions that leads to a goal.

There is improvement. The Boom-Bust cycle has shifted further down the track.

Bust in January instead of December is considered progress. By the end of the decade, disappointment may only come in May.
Wasn't the slip in May? Or at least late April. It always kicks in eventually!

Surprised Steve hasn't picked up on this yet!

The powers that be are throwing shit at the walls because their megalomania has been questioned and there's talks of a break away forum:

Seriously, if you're not happy with the moderators on here who give loads of their own spare time with no thanks, no money, feck all, you can all feck off.

Don't blame the moderators for the website when the majority of you do absolutely feck all.

You can always create your own forum spending your own money, rather than us.

You've all had this place (mainly) for nothing for over fifteen years and it's (mainly) been a blast. You'll be lucky if you have it for another fifteen months. All those complaints about the atmosphere at Anfield and the cost of a ticket for the game? Well now even fans on Internet forums have the winning combination of a shite atmosphere and the opportunity to be monetised for someone else's benefit.

All the content that you used to create and share and read for free, for the love of the club and the chance to discuss it with like minded folk, has been lost to sites like the Tomkins Times, TAW and Anfield Index. You're not singing any more, you're not writing any more, but you're sure as hell moaning about it.

Fair play to the likes of TAW, they have developed the market, and some of the people involved in those sites may well be earning a living from being really super fans. But that shift to paid content is one of the developments - amongst many - that has driven writers away from RAWK, reduced content, reduced the personal connection and the interest in debate, and that's removed one of the purposes of the site.

TAW are developing a forum of their own and I'd like to wish them and all of our RAWK users past and present good luck with that venture. As we've been constantly reminded since 2001, running a footy forum is a piece of piss.

I'm glad TAW are making their own forum, if it's so fecking easy good luck to them. We have never had a single advert on RAWK, and nobody has ever made a penny from this.

For well over a decade we have relied on donations, I can speak personally that moderating this forum has affected my private life, I've been abused, accused and god knows what else.

I've also spent months and months of my spare time getting nagged by my partner for rebuilding this site, which when we relaunched I got more abuse, and I had to justify why I spent my time working on that when we could've been doing anything else.

But it's ok, because some silly c*nt got themself banned it's open season on the moderators, I've been called a prostitute and worse on here by people who wouldn't fecking dream of saying it to my face, from morons who have never been the match in their life but it's ok because RAWK doesn't discriminate... does it?

We've ran a ticket exchange on here that has helped hundreds of people get match tickets, yes we know it has been abused but for the most part the exchange has been a great help to people.

Do you know what, lads?

I wouldn't cry if RAWK closed tomorrow, what's the fecking point in Ben running it at a great cost to himself for ungrateful little pricks who've never been to Liverpool in their life to cry over their mates being banned for being smug little bellends who told you Sturridge was shit? I told you Jordan Henderson can't do this or that, I told you Adam Lallana's stats don't stack up against Toni Kroos or Xavi.

feck off. The reason this site has gone downhill is because of YOU, not us.

It is YOUR forum, not ours.

The best writers, or the top scousers who only use RAWK to move their tickets or the mods who have had enough of your shit, it is YOUR fecking forum.

feck off.
What a bunch of fannies. They even turn their rants into essays.

I actually have some sympathy for mods/owner(s)/'free' forum admins in general, tbh, especially as they're not being paid for their work and the hassle & demands they receive.

I didn't realise that Mane had been biting people or cheating in a World Cup game, I thought he just missed a penalty that knocked his country out of the AFCON. Why would the English media give a shit about that?
Cheating in a World Cup game? Biting people? Do you work for the BBC?
I loved the guy for what he did for our club, but you can't seriously be denying that he did those things, right?
How did he 'cheat' in a world cup game? Who did he 'bite'? You forget the allegation he 'racially abused' 'people!'
He cheated against Ghana and bit three people, once at Ajax, once when he was playing for us and once when playing for Uruguay. I didn't forget the racial abuse because it was utter bullshit - why would a mixed-race man, who was called the word he allegedly used to abuse Evra as an affectionate nickname by his grandmother, use it to insult someone else?

the free kicks in wide areas conspiracy

Without subscribing to the conspiracy theory.....alright feck it I will, It's becoming increasingly obvious that we are having really soft free kicks awarded against us in wide areas near to our box; not even subtle now. That the referee and linesman did not even bother to do their job and allowed the Wolves player to move it 12 yards is astounding incompetence. Watch Costa, who took the free kick, hesitate, thinking he would be pulled up on it, then crack on with a look of incredulousness when there was no sanction. Referees know there is a chance for the opposition from this dead ball situation and if they've either got a bet on for the correct minute for a goal or they just fecking hate Liverpool, this is a device they can easily get away with.
