Very good game by Napoli, but there is no recipe against Kroos->Ramos.

I'm not sure why the ref is getting such grief. It's far from the worst performance you will see and once he gave the penalty the red card had to follow.

The rules are rules and he stuck to them

Damn I wish Peter Storey was still on the Caf. Arsenal and their 10 year plan!

Unbelievable isn't it. What's the point..
While I think the criticism about not winning the league is at times harsh from some Arsenal fans, there really is no excuse to how shite they've been in the CL. Seven years of completely irrelevance in a Cup competition.

It's a bit crazy that Wenger is still their manager.

Sorry i don't agree, Lewandoski was a great hit with Dortmund and a vital part of Dortmund winning back to back titles and Cup & League over Munich. Fergie just cracked under pressure that came from the noisy neighbors and wanted a quick fix. He did it to for short term success and leave as a winner. Very seldom Ferguson has bought players of the age of 28-29 and it was one of those rare occasions.
I definitely agree it was a quick fix. I just don't think that necessarily means it was a short term signing, even though we obviously know now that it did turn out to be one. Signings like Di Maria and Mkhitaryan are other signings I'd consider to be quick fixes but they were both signed with the hope they'd be here long term.

It was a long time ago.
Doesn't matter. United were struggling for a period between 2003 and 2006. You stand by the manager for at least the season. Especially when they're a legend.

Obviously it's time to go this summer, but he should never be "sacked" during the season. There's a good chance that he can ride off into the sunset with another FA Cup.

Feckin' hell that must go down as the most embarrasing performance by an English side in the Champions League in recent history. A history that had David Moyes manage two different sides in the competition.

Who needs the Champions League when Arsenal have got the new & upcoming Brexit/Commonwealth League where other clubs are queueing up to trade with them?

Real Madrid did something close while spending more. The CL isn't forgiving, it tells you who you are.

''Nine of Bayern's 10 goals in the tie were scored with Laurent Koscielny off the pitch.'' - BBC

This can only enhance his reputation as the Best CB in Europe, blud.

That Bayern penno looked a bit soft & do I read that the Arse might have gotten one before that.

Maybe been a bit unlucky tonight.
I stick to my opinion that the Arsenal situation is never a penalty. I've also been watching the Sky Sports and the FSC coverage of the game. Both sets of pundits have come to the conclusion that according to the rules it's a pen and a red as Koscielny makes no attempt to go for the ball while denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Arsenal played great for 50 minutes, then might've conceded but decided to concede a pen instead. Red card for stopping Robben unfairly as last man, and what followed made the good performance from before absolutely irrelevant.

Its not all that bad for Arsenal ..They showed they were just as good away as at home. AND they are still the third best team in London.

Friendly reminder. United drew against this Arsenal lot that has seemingly gotten worse since the 1-1 draw. As much as we can enjoy Arsenal's annual implosion, United are bottlers themselves atm.

right.

Its us and the scousers to fight it out for 4th spot.
They'll probably go on a run now that everyone expects them to collapse anyway. Arsenal are good once the pressure's off, once it's clear they have no chance of winning something important or achieving something memorable.

10-2: This is 2nd biggest aggregate win for German team vs English side in Europe, Dortmund's 10-1 vs Man Utd in 1964/65 UEFA Cup.

And a bunch of managers got fired during that time span. I think there was a president change or two during that period as well.
Wenger should have gone a long time ago, he has put himself in a too comfortable situation with an unambitious owner.

Rio was spot on about shutting up shop when they went down to 10. Don't get embarrassed.

Was expecting Lineker to pipe up with 6-1 though :(

Bayern and Real are in with a good chance at making the final.

Madrid are a strange team. They can win games without dominating, or without playing well at times. But they just know how find a way to win. Even during their last two triumphs, you wouldn't have said they were a historic side like Barcelona in 2009, 2011 or Bayern in 2013.

Yeah, it's a shame we're a bit shit and we will finish behind this awful Arsenal side. Takes some of the fun out of nights like this.
