You were saying he should be "embarrased" about 45 mins ago. Now you're calling posters a disgrace for the same opinion just because he's gone off injured?

Hopefully the injury isn't as bad as it looks. He's as strong as they come so maybe that's protected him a bit.
No, I fecking didn't. It's not the first time you accuse me of saying something that I didn't. Look at my posts.

Do you really think me would call Zlatan embarrassing?

Hope it's not, but reckon that might be the end of him, looked nasty.

Wasn't his best night, hope it's not his last.

It's good he got injured actually. I doubt we would be 2-1 if Ibra was on the pitch. Though it could be a blow given how stretched our squad is and how many games we've played already. But it's a definite good for the exact game. Jose would not have the balls to sub him.
Yeah. It's good he got injured and potentially out for many months just because we could win a qf we probably would have won anyway in the end. Fantastic logic, but you are happy. We won and Zlatan got injured.

Jose needs to learn how to sub him if he's having a shocker. In his age he definitely needs more rest especially when there's not one other poacher in the team.

Bloody hell sorry. Genuine mix up, the poster that did has a similar name.

Well that's it. Age caught him finally.

Accumulation of matches at this age caught him . Now he looks tired almost every game even if he's rested before it and then ended by this injury.

It was nice seeing him in United shirt but I don't think he'll be here next season.

You can't be serious.

One bad game and all of a sudden he's an old bastard? 28 goals.

I wonder if a season of PL level intensity is just too much for him and that might be why he is considering his options. He'd surely manage another season or two at the top level in Italy.

Truly showed his age tonight.

That's what they said at a football show I was watching too, but is it like that really? I mean, if Zlatan rest 3 weeks without games, couldn't he be back fresh or would all the games he played not "go away" until he has like a summer holiday?

After the League Cup Final he was not having anything left. Was hoping the longer break would help.

Best of luck in LA Zlatan. Time to build around the man who will lead our line for a decade +

He played like a 35 year old tonight. Looked totally past it. His worst performance for us, which would be a shame if it also happened to be his last. A man with his career deserves to go out in style.

You chose the wrong person because I'm the most one defending him this season :) I really love him but all these matches at this age really caught him it can be denied.

46 games most of them were for 90 minutes at age of 35 years old . Impossible to not get tired even if you're Zlatan.

I've moaned about him but it's a blow if he's injured. Hope he's ok.

Hope he's ok.

I must admit I was fed up with him tonight. Missed big chances again. And showed his age.

He seems to have just finished all his fitness storage in that final.

He didn't look that different tonight physically. He's never been a runner.

The only difference today was his actual game. Every player has games like that. It was simply an off day.

I have a bad feeling tonight was the last time we saw him in a United shirt.

Something looked off about him today, we're quite used to seeing these kind of performances from him but he just looked unlike himself today for most of the game, deflated. Wonder if somethings happened behind the scenes.

Anyway absolutely gutted for him, would be a really shitty end to such an immense career and character should he not come back from this.

He is done, it seems. A very unfortunate injury for him, which puts extra pressure on Rashers. The young gun will have to play each game from now on it, which is a big risk.

If Zlatan leaves, we will buy in a replacement striker in his prime.
Allowing Rashford (next season, 20 years old) to lead our line in a team aiming to win the title, would be utterly reckless.
Even Barca did not allow Messi to lead their line, when he was 20. And that's Messi!
When was the last time a title winning team was lead by a 20 year old? Has it ever happened?
Do fans actually want us to win the title or are they happy with us aiming for 4th place?

He's tired through playing nearly every game because our other senior striker is Dog and Duck level. But I suspect this injury means this is it so thanks for the Carling Cup and bringing a bit of swagger back to United.

It wasn't an off day because he's had quite a few anonymous games before.

There's a seperate thread for the injury so just on the performance I thought he had a poor game, looked a yard off the pace most of the time and wanted an eternity when that chance dropped to him near the end.

A quality player that's time is coming to the end as top level player.
He looked his age tonight, but he's the kind of player that, if fit, would bang a couple of games in the next game.

Let's win him a European trophy to sign off with. Can't see him being here next year.

It is bad of course that if we lose him for awhile this season as we need more bodies up there even if he became totally shit which he hasn't.

But, on the other hand, the season has been meh and he could be out of his way already. Or how long should we even rely on him?

Hopefully, this will give a chance for the likes of Rashford to show what he can or can't do so that Jose can decide what to do exactly for next season with that area.

Sometimes, I like kids are forced to play and show what they are made of.

I would certainly rather count on a 20 year old than a 36 year old.
