That third one is so tragic. Our worst kit ever in my opinion.

The red and black ones look quality though.

If that black one is real I might actually buy a shirt for the first time in about 10 years.

When are those kits due to be out. Except that 3rd one, it's fecking pathetic. Make ya sick.
The black away kit is out in the middle of next month, while the home kit is due in July. Third kit probably a couple of weeks before the start of the season. Can't remember the exact dates but will look for it.

Edit: New away kit on 10th of May. Home kit 3rd of July.

Is this the first time that we have released a new jersey during a season?

What's peoples thoughts on the crest? I personally like that it is no longer on that false background but the heat print looks a bit cheap. I dig the jersey though.
I've got that badge on this seasons shirt, But mine is the player version.

The black would have been so much better if it was just plain black. Why did they have to put that weird pattern?

We would have finally got a shirt to rival the 07/08 away jersey, which was an absolute beauty.

Can't believe people miss the Nike kits - they were dreadful. Adidas are far better.

Whut? Some of our best kits were Nike.

And I haven't even added the Chevron Kit, the nice black AIG one with the red stripe and the iconic red AIG one with the old-school badge (Ronaldo era).

The current blue away kit got released before the end of last season. They didn't wear it during the last games though. Adidas have always done this, always releasing at least one of the new kits for their clubs before the end of the season.

Ahh yes I remember now going in to meltdown mode that the beautiful white jersey was being replaced so early :( Thanks :)

It's no worse than the home kit with Old Trafford plastered on it.
It's much, much worse.

It's grey, for one thing, which should be an unforgivable error alone. It is also over 2 decades late for the shadow print fad, whereas the 1994 shirt was one of the first to do it.

Granted you are right about it being 20 years late. I just think on a design level it's no worse. Both would be shocking if they came out today.

I really hated that Old Trafford jersey haha.

But also the horrible check-kit which looked like a tablecloth. I also didn't like the 09/10 (?) with the black strip in it.

I like what Adidas is doing so far.

That grey thing is an abomination. If the players couldn't see each other properly in a darker grey twenty one years ago, why revisit it?

The best Nike home shirt was 06/07, followed very closely by 2007/2009. All the rest were template crap.

What is it with the Nike fetish here? I find the Adidas jerseys much much better looking.. I have bought one every year since they came back. I bought one every 3 years under Nike. Many nice kits this season and have hopes for the next one as well..

I think they've both had great kits and both had stinkers. I don't like any of this season's kits though. All are over-fussy. That honeycomb pattern on the home kit is ugly, the third kit is awful and the away has shirts and shorts in slightly different colours for some reason. A disjointed mess of kits and next year's set looks to be the same. 2015/16 were a very good set with the exception of the decision to put orange on the third kit.

Most of these awful design choices are forced on us by the insistence that all clubs have three new kits every season now.

Adidas have been consistent with decent home kits but their away kits bar the white one last season have been shocking. The black and orange kit from last season is a proper abomination.

I wouldn't blame Chevrolet, I would blame the club for not insisting the logo was in white because they could get more cash in colour.

We get it. The Chevy logo sucks. It's not something that needs to be repeated ad nauseam in every kit thread.

I actually quite like it and don't think it takes anything away from our kit.

Apologies for derailing the thread but is the authentic player fit jersey worth the extra money?

Yes, the Nike shirts were always my favorites :(
