Must say i really enjoy listening to Ron Atkinson. Talks a lot of sense and is refreshingly objective (i understand that's not necessarily the brief). Don't think Stewart Garnder is that good a commentator.

It's like watching Prada in the days of the Soviet Union. Not a critical word spoken. Feeble channel and I wouldn't pay a penny for it

I don't get why people moan about the station being biased towards the team, what on earth do you expect from a club owned station?

Even the BBC can't manage to be objective on topics like politics.

I am fine with what MUTV is, I just wish they would finally edge Paddy out - decent human being, good player, dreadful pundit

Form is temporary, bans are permanent.
Who should they get as a pundit? Bryan Robson? Robbo speaks sense whenever he's asked for his opinion. Peter Schmeichel would be good too, don't know if they would want to do this. Robbo would gladly do it, being a club ambassador and all that.

I had a good laugh at Paddy Crerand and his views on diving. He vehemently defended Paul Pogba for his dive vs West Ham then accused the player who won Everton's late penalty against United of diving. I know he's biased and MUTV has a big Manchester United bias but I still found it funny.

Need to make it available for international fans who obviously cant make it to things like Youth matches. I think it'd be good to allow more fans to see the products of our academy and follow these players on their journey from U-18 to the First Team.

I like Paddy. He's so ridiculously biased when commentating.

Even his commentator partner gets baffled at his statements at times.
I like him too but I want to slap him at times. And repetitive or what. Everyone's got an opinion - in actual fact - etc. etc.

Sanctity, like a cat, abhors filth.
Only just seen that there's an MUTV app.

http://www.manutd.com/en/News And F...de&utm_campaign=mutvapp&utm_medium=Vanity_URL

Under the list of app features it says:

- FULL SCREEN VIEWING: Simply rotate your device to watch any content in full screen mode.

You know youre struggling to find good things to say about an app if the 5th thing you say about it is that it supports screen rotation.

Ill probably give it a go though.

Well I quite like MUTV, and it's good that they bring in a lot of the old players as guests, and I like the "when the floodlights fail" programs focusing on the live of old retired players. Norman Whiteside, Bryan Robson, John Gidman's were really good. Classic old fixtures replayed, manager's press conference etc
Lou Macari and Pat Crerend are legends. Its good value for six quid a month.

Worth it just for the pressers and U23 imo.

I couldn't fathom listening to Crerand for more than 10 seconds before wanting to rip my face off.
Hear hear. He splutters gets things mixed up forgets who hes talking to, and after the FA cup final came out with the bullshit VG was being kept on and the club hadnt contacted Mourinho, he 'was in the know' The next day VG was gone and Mourinho was in. When my son was 13 he lost interest so I got shut of it. Best £6 a month I ever saved.

So you unsubscribed because your 13 year old son lost interest in a passionate 78 year old ex player loved by fans from an era when the game was very different?

Well... I did think it was rubbish as well lol. When he stopped watching it (he had had an xbox 360) I decided to end it as well. In fact I got rid of Sky completely a couple of months later

Yeah, there might be certain things you don't like, but there's plenty of decent stuff on there. And as for being biased, I used to flick over to Liverpool TV when it was free to air, they were more biased than MUTV, and a lot more bitter about rival clubs.

Rather than start a new thread

Have the club axed the Countdown to Kick Off show on a Friday night?

Enjoyed that programme as it was a good build up to the weekends game and you enter competitions to win FIFA copies or Matchday Tickets

Oh and Hannah East

I thought it would be nice to have a thread on our club channel MUTV to discuss about all the shows on it and the various interviews with players, staff etc.

I used to watch the show "Live from Old Trafford" which usually had Lou Macari and Paddy Crerand on it. Paul Parker was an occasional guest as well. It was usually hosted by Hayley McQueen (when she was with the channel or Mandy Henry)

Stewart Gardner and Crerand are pretty good commentators for match day. Obviously you wouldn't watch it if you wanted a neutral perspective on the game or anything else MUFC related.

So, MUTV.
Crerand is the worst football commentator that I have ever heard. Literally.

Can anyone remember an old programme that got aired where Denis law sat chatting with Sir
Alex for an hour? One of the best interview style things I've ever seen. They were so relaxed and there were numerous insights.

My subscription of MUTV app got cancelled on its own a day after it was supposed to auto re-new..don't know why. I am still able to access the videos and programs though, at least for time being.

Might have been a sporting heroes episode iirc. Law was Sir Alex's favourite player back in the day.

I've thought about getting MUTV a few times added to by Sky package, but looking at it, it doesn't explicitly say that it gets all of the games, just analysis of all the games... Surely it gets the games, right?

Paddy Crerand is so awful he's funny....

Evra loses the ball - Crerand: "What ye doin' Patricia?!"

Van Der Sar makes a save - Crerand: "What a save that is by Saha"

So true, drives me mad! Another few of his favourites:

"That's not a shot, that's a pass into the net"
"Awwwww he should have just blootered it"
(When the ball goes out for a goal kick) - "And it goes out for a dead ball kick"

:confused::confused::confused:

None of the games is live (except pre-season friendlies). They do 'radio' type commentary during the game then they do a post match analysis where they discuss it and take calls but are not licenced to show the game. On the day after the game, (or on a Monday if the game is on Saturday) they show the whole match 2 or 3 times through the day. I find that quite useful as I am not very able to judge how players are playing when it is actually live as my judgement gets a bit skewed. The next days they might show half an hour of highlights of that week's game.

In the days leading up to a game, they show highlights of previous matches against that team but the funny thing is (SPOILER ALERT) that they never show past games where we lost. It is kindof like Pravda in that sense.

Ahhh no
I just looked it up -

It's called "Sir Alex meets The King".

It's completely fantastic and I'm amazed it doesn't have a rip
somewhere. Well worth a watch if you have MUTV, I did at the time it first aired and it was immense.

....and Solskjaer has won it!
They usually show the complete match at 00:00 at the turn of the following day but sometimes they don't show complete matches until a few days afterwards. Anybody know why?

Apart from all the callers who express their discontent freely?
It's quite funny to watch. After a bad result/disappointing performance the studio usually try and paint over it, excuses like we were out of luck and it just wasn't out day.

Then you get people calling in saying how rubbish we are and Rooney is useless  I always remember Lou Macari was dumfounded and didn't know what to say. Deep down they probably agree but they're never going to live on TV.

Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
The TV channels of Torino, Roma, Juve and Lazio are all included with the football package out here in Italy. It's been quite an eye-opener after paying for MUTV (for a while) in the UK. Sky gives you loads more for your money here.

Watch last night's testimonial game via mutv app, and it totally sucks. The stream is too laggy to watch. Anyone the same?

You can now watch MUTV online in the UK which is awesome.

What is not so awesome? Paddy Crerard is still the main pundit:( 2 mins into the Tour show he says Lukaku and Pogba 'play together for Belgium' No Paddy, no they don't. Nice guy, part of United history, dreadful on tv.

Also, "United legends Bryan Robson and Mikaël Silvestre" is an odd line :P But I always quite liked Silvestre

The presenters are simply too dull. Throw money at G Neville for a weekly show or have someone like Evra on when he retires.
May / Dion / Pallister and Lou just don't cut it.
