Must say i really enjoy listening to Ron Atkinson. Talks a lot of sense and is refreshingly objective (i understand that's not necessarily the brief). Don't think Stewart Garnder is that good a commentator.
I like him too but I want to slap him at times. And repetitive or what. Everyone's got an opinion - in actual fact - etc. etc.I like Paddy. He's so ridiculously biased when commentating.
Even his commentator partner gets baffled at his statements at times.
Ah there you go. So glad I stumbled across it. When I think of all those Asian fans, watching footage of old games with their phone on its side, it makes me sick with jealousy. Not available in the UK either
Worth it just for the pressers and U23 imo.Well I quite like MUTV, and it's good that they bring in a lot of the old players as guests, and I like the "when the floodlights fail" programs focusing on the live of old retired players. Norman Whiteside, Bryan Robson, John Gidman's were really good. Classic old fixtures replayed, manager's press conference etc
Lou Macari and Pat Crerend are legends. Its good value for six quid a month.
Hear hear. He splutters gets things mixed up forgets who hes talking to, and after the FA cup final came out with the bullshit VG was being kept on and the club hadnt contacted Mourinho, he 'was in the know' The next day VG was gone and Mourinho was in. When my son was 13 he lost interest so I got shut of it. Best £6 a month I ever saved.I couldn't fathom listening to Crerand for more than 10 seconds before wanting to rip my face off.

So you unsubscribed because your 13 year old son lost interest in a passionate 78 year old ex player loved by fans from an era when the game was very different?Hear hear. Well... I did think it was rubbish as well lol. When he stopped watching it (he had had an xbox 360) I decided to end it as well. In fact I got rid of Sky completely a couple of months laterSo you unsubscribed because your 13 year old son lost interest in a passionate 78 year old ex player loved by fans from an era when the game was very different?
Yeah, there might be certain things you don't like, but there's plenty of decent stuff on there. And as for being biased, I used to flick over to Liverpool TV when it was free to air, they were more biased than MUTV, and a lot more bitter about rival clubs.Well I quite like MUTV, and it's good that they bring in a lot of the old players as guests, and I like the "when the floodlights fail" programs focusing on the live of old retired players. Crerand is the worst football commentator that I have ever heard. Literally.I thought it would be nice to have a thread on our club channel MUTV to discuss about all the shows on it and the various interviews with players, staff etc.
I used to watch the show "Live from Old Trafford" which usually had Lou Macari and Paddy Crerand on it. Paul Parker was an occasional guest as well. It was usually hosted by Hayley McQueen (when she was with the channel or Mandy Henry)
Stewart Gardner and Crerand are pretty good commentators for match day. Obviously you wouldn't watch it if you wanted a neutral perspective on the game or anything else MUFC related.
So, MUTV.
Stewart Gardner is just as bad.Crerand is the worst football commentator that I have ever heard. Literally.
Might have been a sporting heroes episode iirc. Law was Sir Alex's favourite player back in the day.Can anyone remember an old programme that got aired where Denis law sat chatting with Sir
Alex for an hour? One of the best interview style things I've ever seen. They were so relaxed and there were numerous insights.
So true, drives me mad! Another few of his favourites:I like him too but I want to slap him at times. And repetitive or what. Everyone's got an opinion - in actual fact - etc. etc.
None of the games is live (except pre-season friendlies). They do 'radio' type commentary during the game then they do a post match analysis where they discuss it and take calls but are not licenced to show the game. On the day after the game, (or on a Monday if the game is on Saturday) they show the whole match 2 or 3 times through the day. I find that quite useful as I am not very able to judge how players are playing when it is actually live as my judgement gets a bit skewed. The next days they might show half an hour of highlights of that week's game.I've thought about getting MUTV a few times added to by Sky package, but looking at it, it doesn't explicitly say that it gets all of the games, just analysis of all the games... Surely it gets the games, right?

Apart from all the callers who express their discontent freely? It's like watching Prada in the days of the Soviet Union. Not a critical word spoken. Feeble channel and I wouldn't pay a penny for it
It's quite funny to watch. After a bad result/disappointing performance the studio usually try and paint over it, excuses like we were out of luck and it just wasn't out day.Apart from all the callers who express their discontent freely?
