This just reinforced my belief that Guillem Balague is just a mouthpiece for Barca and Real Madrid, whenever I see his tweets/report, it's only positive news for those two clubs. So much bias its so unreal. Feck off Balague!
He's a paid parrot.

would have loved him at United i think people dont realise how much bigger os a superstar Neymar is in the Americas and in the middle east and Asia compared to Messi and even Ronaldo. Every single billboard in Dubai had Neymar sponsoring something when i went an year ago.

Also this helps the break the monopoly Madrid and Barca are having over the top their world class talent, it gives other clubs an opportunity now to have atleast one world class player in the team.

£190 million is going to look like a bargain in a few years time just like Ronaldos £80 million did a few years after he had left.
I would have hated him to see in a United shirt. Glad Woodward and Glazer's kept their sense.

The opposite may happen if he turned PSG to a CL winner on his own. We'll never know if this move was right or not till after 2 or 3 years according to how PSG will perform in CL with him the superstar of the side.
Messi and Ronaldo will still dominate the top honours for atleast 4 years more. Neymar can never match their legendary status.

Real Madrid are rumoured to have agreed a non-aggression deal with PSG a couple of years ago, where they wouldn't pursue each other's stars. Sounds like Barca were more confi
Is that even possible.

On a long road that returns to Old Trafford!!!
La Liga can do a due-diligence test for money-laundering and tax issues - that's normally ignored between EU clubs. I'd guess they'd argue that based on PSG's published accounts they can't see where the money came from, which could delay stuff while paperwork comes through.
I'd guess the money will be coming directly from PSG and to them from their Owners who, if required, can show that they have the wherewithal to pay the transfer fees.

Barca trying to make themselves look as big a bunch of twats as possible. You lost, get over it, no need to be a sore loser.
bullshit.

Barca lost because PSG is pumping stupid money, which they didn't 'earn' by beeing a football club, into Neymar. This is not how this business should work. Most of you approve it, because you just dislike Barca. If it would be United instead of Barca, you would cry a massive river.

Barcelona broke the law when they signed him to begin with. There is no moral high ground.

Everyone is playing the 'let's laugh at Barcelona' thing until an entire oil producing country starts throwing £200m at us for Paul Pogba.

PSG should feck off, fecking cheats. This sort of stuff will ruin the game, and have players earning a million a week in no time.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have been buying all the best players for years. I'm glad that this is happening to take away some of their dominance. Other clubs will have more chances to compete.

Fact of the matter is this is how the business works, it's how it's worked for years now. Also Arab money has made Man City a genuine rival, a foreign investor has turned Chelsea into competitors for us etc. so no, I doubt we'd be 'crying a river', especially if we were receiving double the world record fee.

Not to add Barca are a club renowned for shady workings. Their original signing of Neymar alone had so many questionable aspects. You reap what you sow.

Ronaldo is 31 and Messi is 30. Neymar is 25 so the future is clearly on his side. Beside, if he can win CL with PSG and help Brazil in WC I can't find a reason why he can't be a Ballon D'Or contender.

I have no dislike for Barca. I prefer them to Real. However, Neymar's initial transfer to them was so dodgy I can't bring myself to feel any pity for them.

Add to the fact they are literally beside themselves about this whole thing when they were no angels to bring him there in the first place.... I just have to laugh at everything.

This is karma at its finest.

All this for a guy who has scored 68 league goals over four full seasons with Barca?

That's two less than 36 year old Aritz Aduriz at Bilbao.

I read he scored 13 league goals last season. Everyone will talk about his assists to compensate but talk about a fertile hunting ground - squaring the ball to Messi and Suarez. Guy will be bang average in France.

30 or so goals in the league. Won't pull up any trees in my opinion.
yes indeed. a wing forward scoring 105 goals and 59 assists in 180 odd games is quite mediocre. As are his 69 goals for Brazil and 130 odd for Santos. His goals in the champions league winning campaign were also miniscule. Its strange that someone hasn't just gone and bought Aduriz on the cheap and played him LWF. I'm sure he would be like Robben

Couldn't agree more. All fun and games till they start going after our best players.

Barcelona aren't exactly angels themselves, read up on the deal that brought him to the Nou Camp.

Even if that did happen we dont go ahead putting release clauses in our players contracts so have the option to play hardball.

Barca agreed to put in a release clause and are now crying because someone is willing to meet it. Had Barca not done that or put something higher than they did he might be staying.

Barca are powerless because of Neymar's release clause. We'd be able to reject a £200m bid for Pogba or whoever.

Don't think he'll ever be considered one of the greats, or winning the ballon d'or playing in the French league. Mistake move imho.
Why not? once Messi and Ronaldo move on its a free for all. Also if he outperforms them in the CL and dominates France, he has every chance. Rui Patricio came 12th in Portugal and Zlatan came 13th. Higuain has made the list too. I'm sure Mbappe will be up there.

This deal kind of smashes my faith that we are ever going to be able to buy a worldclass attacker.

What this will really do is increase release clauses to even more ridiculous amounts.

Disappointing that attack is going to be broken up. MSN made for some beautiful football. Hopefully the replacement helps maintain that standard of attack.

Release clauses are a legal requirement in Spain.

And chances are any club offering double the salary that even the top clubs can will turn the head of the likes of Pogba. Nobody can compete against a country, nor should they have to.

The obscene wages will unsettle him, which would then leave us with a massive problem.

Younger doesn't mean better though. He is way short of both of them and is now going to play in ligue 1.
I didn't say younger meant better. I meant he should naturally overtake them. At least that was my expectation. For example, he's never going to be as good as Messi but at 27 I'd expect him to be better than an over the hill (but still wonderful) Messi. The heir to the throne, if you will. So in that sense, for him to accept playing in a league so much worse is such an absurd choice and says a lot about him IMO.
