Coming as an Arsenal fan, I assure you Sanchez will not be joining United. The revolt will be catastrophic and most Arsenal fans would expect Arsene to retire immediately. Simply put, a transfer to United regarding Sanchez will have a bigger negative impact than City.

Based on my assumptions, I also think Sanchez wants to swiftly return to the very top (Like the Barca days) doesn't want to wait a year or so for the United project to finish. Guy seems to be impatient and itching for a move to what many would perceive as the best team in England.

I would be very surprised if United have even a sniff of a chance. With our other players? Yes. With Sanchez/Ozil? No.
As an Arsenal fan you should be more upset with potentially losing your two best players in January and falling further down the table than whether those two players end up at United or not.
I agree that Sanchez will want to join City as it's basically a formality to lift the trophy if he does.

You're stuck with Arsene until 2019-20 at the least.

Obviously city is the more attractive destination at the moment but from the looks of things they're playing hard ball.

Also, you can be sure he would get much more game time here and we'd pay him just as much if not more.
I think Pep would be a huge factor. Saint Pep is revered by media, football community and Jose is considered as evil, cunning etc etc.
Given a choice, at least good number of players would choose Pep.

Nothing from the BBC or any United journos such as Ducker/Stone, which makes me think this has either come from Sanchez's agent or Arsenal, in order to put pressure on City to hurry up.
If Sanchez signs for City, you can bet that they'll all magically tweet at the same time that United were never interested. In this case, I reckon the "ITK" journos not addressing this situation probably shows that we are interested, but we're not willing to let it out that we are, in case City sign Sanchez.

Maybe it's time to realize your club doesn't give a feck about fans anymore ? They only care about profit.

Sanchez is nearing the last few years of his career, he probably wants silverware fecking fast, as it looks right now Citeh are the safer bet for that.

Firmly believe he'll go to Citeh.
Seems to me he wants bucket loads of cash more than anything else, hence why he is playing a game of brinkmanship with them over his wages.

I tend to agree.

It can't be that well sourced otherwise they would be all over it.

It's more likely that this news is from arsenal trying to push the price up. Note the guardian journalist that wrote the piece to kick this off isn't one of the few who have access to Woodward, or has any history of access to information about us.

Would I be happy if we got him? Well he is quality but we need another right winger not a 3rd left winger.

He'd be best played as a no. 10, behind Lukaku, supplying him or feeding off him. He's got a good work rate and scores goals. He'd be wasted on the wing.

Which was the last utd signing the so called utd journos knew about, only time they seemed to have a scoop was when woody briefed them about griezmann not being a target other than that all latest utd signing have been broken by journos close to the selling club.

It all depends on what Alexis wants, really. He has never said in public that he wants to play for City, United, or even Arsenal. No way of knowing for sure until he comes out and says something. People assuming anything is a done deal are wrong

Wait, do people outside of Australia watch our garbage soap operas?
Been on Norwegian telly since forever. I remember rushing home from school every day so I could catch the latest episodes!

Just tuned into today's episode out of curiosity, nothing has changed after all these years. Same characters (Irene, Leah, Alf), same routine at the police office and basically the same recycled storyline

Floats about gracefully and smoothly, and will keep on playing to a high level into his 30s. Unlike Nadal who has run himself into the ground a la Rooney.
Utter nonsense.

@wr8_utd go to school on this guy.

Nadal won two slams in his 30s last time I checked and was world num 1. Ran himself to the ground indeed, I wish I ran myself in a ground like that.

To me, this certainly smells of a story to speed up City into making a decision about whether they want to do this now or in the summer. Or possibly to exact a little bit more of a transfer out of them for Arsenal. I don't see any seriousness in this. Do we probably have a passing interest? Sure, just like we would with any top quality player. But I'd think we'd have different priorities and would be realistic enough to think he looks set on a reunion with Pep.

No need to speed anything up. The window will close in a couple of weeks whether we are linked to Sanchez or not, and City will either buy him in January or not.

You don’t think Sanchez wants this sped up? He could get a league medal and crack at UCL if he signs in January. City can save money buy getting him in the summer.

Oh, you're talking about the story that Mkhi could go to Arsenal in the deal?
Raiola is Mkhitaryan's agent so he will obviously know if Sanchez is involved in the deal. Doesn't make sense of Woodward leaking this and especially to Sky in Italy. That's why I'm thinking it's Raiola who has leaked it to Sky in Italy and Di Marzio has form with Raiola.

Arsenal are just a mess. Xhaka was bought following analysis by a matrix system that takes players stats and gives transfer suggestions. Sounds clever? Nope it’s still based on algorithms which the developer has put in (with normal human bias). So basically they’ve got some IT guy to pick their players, whereas anybody with access to YouTube would tell you Xhaka was too slow and too clumsy. And Wenger is so desperate to repeat his Henry success (wing to forward) and others during the successful period 20+ years ago, he changes every players position all the time so he can have the ‘glory’ of converting their positions. Obviously this has been a spectacular failure. No wonder their best players are leaving, when their star right back is shoved on the wing and left-back into the centre etc, they don’t have a chance of doing well.
I’d love us signing Sánchez, but I think he’s already agreed to go to City. The man does like to play as much as possible so I would hope the assurance of playing a lot with us rather than rotations at City would sway it. Almost wish that City went on to win everything so the Nation State got bored and pulled out. Really should be investigated for FFP breach- no way they have made enough with not even half their seats sold on match days.

Do you think there is good chance of this happening?
