He’s best as 10 though, and Martial is best on the left.
Unless Sanchez is a beast on the right I’m really not sure I want him.
Martial is best as a 9, although that Sanchez comment is a bit ridiculous. We are seriously lacking in quality in attack as a squad. We need a talent like Sanchez if we can get him (better than anyone we have in his position).

Don't think we will get him btw

Sanchez was a beast in Italy and Spain playing on the right, its obvious why Jose wants him imo

If we got Sanchez then what would happen to Martial and Rashford?

Sanchez Lukaku Rashford
Martial
Pogba Matic
?
At the moment, my guess would be

Martial Lukaku Sanchez
Lingard
Pogba Matic

based on form and balance (Mourinho isn't going to play Sanchez as a 10 and Martial and Rashford out wide with a 9 up top, that's too top heavy). And when we play 4-3-3 with Herrera or Fellaini in, during a tougher game, my guess is Lingard and Martial would be fighting for the non-Sanchez wing spot with a small chance Martial beats out Lukaku as the 9. Rashford and Mata get the bench minutes and come in for rotation. Mkhitaryan is on Arsenal or in Italy or Germany.

I believe Udinese played 3 at the back and obviously Arsenal have lately (and Chile often), so he even has experience if we end up playing 3-5-2 in the CL, paired up top with either Martial or Lukaku and a Pogba-Matic-Herrera midfield and 5 defenders if we try to win it by never conceding, which seems our likely plan if we beat Sevilla and face a strong opponent in the final 8.

Do you mean twitter? Or both?

https://twitter.com/ffelicevich/following

Follows don't really mean anything.
Why would he do that? It would have been a bad sign had he followed City.

Only thing I can think of is that it’s either happening or he has done it to wind up Manchester United - which I doubt, considering the nature of his job. You never know, you might have to deal with us in the future.

And why did he follow us in 2014? Maybe we were in for Vidal it just didn’t materialise?

Play him on the right like he did for Barca and for Udinese. It’s only Arsenal that have played him on the left consistently. Barca he was either a false 9 or on the right when Messi went central. He did of course at times play on the left also.

Talking hypothetically, as there's no way we're signing Sanchez...

But I'm sure Mourinho would be/is desperate to prove his 4231 will work, so the first thing I think he'd do is this...

------------------DDG-------------------
Val-------Jones-------Bailly------Young
-------Matic----------------Pogba-------
Sanchez-------Lingard--------Martial
-----------------Rom--------------------

But obviously against even decent opposition you simply can't play Pogba in a 2, so the 433 would probably be used...

------------------DDG-------------------
Val-------Jones-------Bailly------Young
----Herrera------Matic------Pogba----
Sanchez----------Rom----------Jesse/Tony/Rashford

IF he does come I imagine he'll be mainly on the right but could interchange with whoever is on the left. I can also see him playing up top at times if Lukaku is injured, suspended etc.

A signing like Sanchez and we might even have an outside chance at winning the Champions League. That's how good he'd be for United.

Assuming he'd choose to sign for City on a free if his contract reaches the summer, surely there are more advantages than disadvantages at bidding something like £50/60m for him now? Either we get a world class player for way below a normal 'world class fee' or we make City pay double what they want to.

Common sense says this is BS reporting.

I wouldn’t/would care as much if he didn’t sign vs if he did sign with United. I think he only has 2-3 years left anyways and will decline rapidly after, sort of like how RVP did but with a lower impact since his conditioning has already seemed to taken a hit.

Orstein is as ITK as you can be so we may as well lock this thread after that tweet.

Its the compromise bit rather than the fabled Utd bid. There isn't a hint of Arsenal being steadfast in these negotiations.

Mourinho has no love for Arsenal. If he’s not after him, I expect him to say so.

Tim Sherwood, the arrogant git, is insisting Sanchez would rather play City football rather than United regardless of what we offer on Sky at the moment.

Sherwood is unbelievably bitter about us/Mourinho, no surprise he’s spouting shite.

It was a statement of resignation and appreciation of the situation rather than a demand!

BBC don't even mention us being interested, let alone making an offer. Confirms what I thought; we're just being used by some wanker, probably the agent, to get more money out of City.

Not much shite spoken considering how we are playing attractive wise and how City are playing.

None of us know what's going on behind the scenes, stop pretending you're all experts on Sanchez and his aspirations.

You don't know if he's motivated by money, fame, a particular manager or even if he wants to stay in the UK.

He might want a move to City. But don't behave like it's gospel and 100% confirmed - it isn't.

I'm with you.

It also saves a bit of collective dignity from the relentless pro-city press.

Like, ok you're winning the PL and signing Sanchez, but on top of that having it seen that they've somehow 'wrestled' Sanchez from us (when it was never even on the cards) just seems like a needless morale drain.

Nah, at Udinese they played a 3-5-2, Isla had the right flank to himself, Alexis would drift out to the right because their link up play was incredible but his starting position was as a second striker alongisde Di Natale. Same role he's tended to play for Chile.

Tbh, I want Dybala more, so if that can happen, Sanchez can go to City.
