That picture could be a picture of any random family. Can anyone confirm that is actually his family? Also why are his family coming to London just because he is moving clubs? Maybe they are just there on Holiday? A muppet needs answers!
I doubt that a twitter verified Arsenal correspondent for Goal would make something like that up.

Sanchez does not rule out Dybala, I actually think signing world class players is the best way to entice world class players. That being said, we aren't heavily linked with Dybala and he'd cost somewhere around 120-150m (given the Coutinho fee).

All world class players (and Dybala is not some up and coming young player) demand world class wages.

That's a big hypothetical, that Sanchez would want to leave this time next year if we are not fighting for the title.

What outstanding young players that fit within our budget were you thinking of?
Good points. Don't really think the last question is relevant though. Not relevant what outstanding players I think are available, I watch 2 hours of football per week. Mourinho is supposed to have world class resources at his disposal, huge teams of people with big budgets. If I don't know what young exciting players we should sign that isn't an excuse for him to not be able to do it. Even with a powerful search engine like football managr, it is far enough from reality that a random fan being able to name players should have no impact on our expectations on the management team. Nobody knew much about Bailly, nobody really thought we had a chance at pogba. I would prefer we signed younger players for the future with our obviously limited resources, rather than shorter term signings. If you disagree that is fair enough, but in your shoes I wouldn't disagree purely because you can't think of who we would sign or something similar.

It's weird though that his entire family is coming all the way from Chile to London to, erm, observe him moving to Manchester?

I've seen lots of morons verified on twitter, and Goal.com is usually a bad source. If that is a guy from Arsenal then i guess it's on!

Does that really matter though?

He is clearly still a top, top player, and one of the few about actually good enough to build our team around. That's all that should matter really. We were allegedly going to spend 50m on Perisic last window, i would be happy for us to spend that right now to get Alexis this window. Personally, i would rather have him than Hazard or Griezmann. I think he works harder, offers more versatility, and has proven he can score goals consistently from a variety of different positions. I don't think we could reasonably expect to make a more suitable signing this window than Sanchez, -irrespective of cost- he would fulfill many of our current needs and would significantly improve our general goal threat and creativity.

We clearly lack a special player, and Sanchez clearly is one. Buying him would be a huge boost for the whole club and should provide us that extra quality and belief we need to compete for the biggest prizes over the next few years. That has surely got to be our aim and we cannot afford to miss out on players of this caliber when they become available if we want to achieve those aims.
Does it matter for what? I haven't said anything about whether he's a worthwhile signing, I was only responding to someone claiming he's still a 100m player.

Even if that's his family does that mean anything ? The other club that wants him other than us is in the same city anyway!

Goals name was dirt on this forum not long ago. What changed that? Before any artical by them was instantly dismissed as rubbish.

Yeah that's what his bio says. But why would his entire family come down to London "in preparation for the Chileans departure from Arsenal"?

Well, if true then it means that at least he's getting a transfer away from Arsenal this window.

Straight swap Martial for Sanchez. Offer him a large wage packet. Give him the number 7 shirt.

I'd definitely take it to the bank right now. Whether we're weakened after losing both Alexis/Ozil and these being our only replacements is another matter ofcourse.
That's a risk I suppose. You'd much rather have both sign 5 year contracts and get rid of the likes of Walcott etc.

That's what I asked before; maybe his wage packet is so good that his family have come to London to celebrate!

Can't argue with that. I do think our scouting network has been upgraded recently and I am hoping that we will go down that route of signing super promising players before other big clubs, and develop them. At the same time, I think we are in need of world class players, match winners. If any become available, we obviously go for them if they tick most boxes (Sanchez obviously Prem proven, great career so far, works hard, etc.), that becomes even more tempting if it means they won't join our biggest rivals.

During Djokovics dominant spell, Federer won one grand slam. Whilst Nadal won about 4.

So you clearly don’t know what you talking about.
Actually hold on there chappie.... last year was his first Grandslam victory since 2014, where he picked up the 1 title.

Good to know the memory isnt totally shot.

Think that is why the picture has appeared. As someone said they might just be over on holiday.

Also do multi-millionaire footballers unpack boxes or just let their family and minions do it?

Well, most reports reported than he desperately wanted to move this window.
The problem is that Arsenal won't sell him until they've found a replacement. I think it's more likely that they're unable to replace him now and that they'll just force him to stay at Arsenal throughout the reminder of the season than City buying him this window, which is why it's fantastic news if it's true that the family actually traveled to London to celebrate his transfer or whatever.

It seems they're closing on Malcom as a replacement.

Might be. I've got no idea about their credibility. It'd just be a strange thing to make up for someone who has got 73k followers on twitter and obviously care about being taken seriously. It won't be good for his reputation if it turns out to be complete bs.

Why pay Arsenal anything? Just from a business perspective. He will be free in 6 months. All we or City need is a pre-contract agreement. Only thing he can help with earlier for is the Champ League.
Why save a few million when you can guarantee the services of a top player right now?

Yeah that's what the papers say, though it'll undoubtedly be difficult to get Bordeaux to sell their star player for a reasonable price in the middle of the season. Arsenal aren't exactly known for overspending either.

I miss our "quick" transfers. When we sign player in first day when we fans find out that we are even for that player. Like falcao, lukaku, bailly...
Transfer sagas too often end badly for us( except pogba)

He doesn't want to be there anymore, he wants a new challenge now. Also having him for CL games could make all the difference.

He'll probably cost 40m at best. I think Arsenal can afford that if they agreed to sell Sanchez for 30-35m. Bordeaux will only care about profit in this case.
