How many articles a day does Samuel Luckhurst write and why are all so devoid of any content? This transfer saga gave me a migraine because of him alone.

In an article about Alexis back in his Udinese day, he proclaimed that his dream move would be to OT and Man Utd.

Why do they always leave this information out?

Wherever he goes, according to Wikipedia he's listed as having one continental game so far this season. Will he be cup tied for the Champions League?

Would be incredible business if we could also shift Mkhitaryan the other way.

I mentioned earlier in the thread. He was a United fan in his youth.

Fair enough, but the journos and the rest did not seem to mention any of that, just his unwavering desire to play for the Pep Guardiola is my idol.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

No. Clubs who are in the CL can register one player who has played in the Europa League (and vice versa). So if we signed both Sanchez and Ozil we could register one of them for the CL, but not both. We won't be getting Ozil at the same time though obviously.

No he will not. He has not played in CL this season and Europa doesn't affect his eligibility.

No brainer, do whatever to sign Sanchez. If City gets him game over. Also he's more of a wide forward than a striker...

Title winning team right here with any decent competent manager:

Sanchez - Lukaku - Martial
Pogba - Matic - Herrera
Shaw - Jones - Bailly - Valencia
Martial - NOt sure how he will do on right.
Herrera - Havenot been the same this season
Shaw - We will be fortunate if he is fit for 2-3 months in whole season
JOnes and Baily - not power headers, mistakes waiting to happen
Valencia - Cannot cross

I highly doubt this is title winning side. Not unntil we have 2 or 3 improvements.

Very informative. Cheers.

Is this speculation or fact?
It was fact, this came up years ago in the Sanchester United thread ( it was going toe to toe with the Sneijder thread at the time) It was from some interview while he was at Udinese, before he was even considering leaving them.

I agree, but seeing as you mentioned Giggs SAF took him of the wing and played him centrally in his 30's cause he lost pace.
Maybe he had lost a bit of pace but still could jinx past players later in life. Maybe he was put in mid field because of his football brain and passing, he was more useful there to the team than stuck out on the wing.

It should be Martial on the left and Sanchez on the right, I do agree we need an improvement on Herrera though, and we can hope Shaw stays fit for the remainder of the season and then we can hope for next season, as for our CB pairing I think it's good enough, and I agree that we should get an improvement in the RB position.

If United make this signing under the noses of City it will be all the sweeter.

Obviously the media will have nothing positive to say about the deal and say it is all down to money...totally ignoring the fact City have spent more than United in the last few years.

But for me getting a top player and pissing City and any bitter media outlets off at the same it make the deal so much sweeter.

Well once was for Barca, which is fair enough. The 2nd time we'd just finished 7th. Also understandable.
And I don't think we were really in for him second time round. Think di Maria was our priority.

Which was fair enough as well as he was clearly the better player at that time.

So why has he turned us down twice?
Just because you're a boyhood fan of the team doesn't mean in your professional life you want to move to us. It's not like he lived in Irlam o'th Heights. Probably we were his favourite team on Fifa or something.

If it's your dream move to play at OT for United then it's not understandable why you'd choose another team twice when you've got the opportunity to go to where your dream is.

It's absolute rubbish.

Wholeheartedly agree but it proves that this 'boyhood dream' stuff is always a load of shite and nobody should ever pay attention to it.

I was just walking past the Emirates and simply can't believe my luck. A disgruntled Arsenal fan actually nailed his season ticket to a tree! I obviously grabbed it and stuffed it in my pocket. You can never have enough nails, can ya?

My god, is this really happening? Looks so, BeIN also reporting, think they are quite reliable, as well as Di Marzio.
If we pull this one, it will be a dream signing!

Richard Keys is the one reporting it, isn't he very reliable?

His dream was probably to play for the all-domineering United he grew up watching. Not one that had just been demoralised by David Moyes.

When you're a professional making career decisions (especially foreign players with no real ties to the club), most will go where is best for them, not the team they liked watching when they were a kid.
