They turned it down cause they didn't get a replacement in time. I don't think the fans would have been happy with them selling another top player for nothing in return. It was quite clear that's the problem they were trying to avoid.
That's awful planning - again - on Arsenal's part. I find it extraordinary they waited until practically Deadline Day before identifying a replacement for Sanchez. It's amateur hour over at the Emirates on a consistent basis. No wonder the fans are up in arms.

He also broke Di Maria to United. Proof positive that blanketly deciding who is and isn't a "reputable source" as fans is fecking stupid. Because we don't have a clue about the contacts these lads actually have. Ballague doesn't have contacts in United and why should he? But he does in certain Spanish teams.
He was first to report Aubameyang to Arsenal too.

No. That's not bargaining.
If I go to a shop and piss off the seller with a complete unreasonable offer, he will be angry that I don't take the negotiation seriously. A pissed off seller will be more difficult now to negotiate to even a reasonable price.
In the January market the seller is always king. How many shops are selling a player of Sanchez caliber?

Which is again a problem they didn't address and something the fans would rightly be anguished with. It was known that Sanchez's contract is running out, he isn't signing a new deal and City have tabled a big offer. They should have lined up a replacement right at the start of the summer.

I can't imagine any Journo being briefed by any of the parties about what the deal is or which player is going where. Absolutely no way do they get a phone call from Ed "Yeah Fam, dem clownz are aksing for Tony blud, feck that fam."
Martial's agent is the one feeding Bouhafsi I feel.

Exactly right. Frankly they look like fecking idiots turning down £60 million.

Via the Daily Express:

Asked if they would print Alexis on the back of a United shirt, an assistant at the official United megastore said: “We can’t print them until there’s been an official announcement.”
He then quickly corrected himself to say: “I mean if there’s an official announcement!”

Short memories...Wenger tried for Mbappe and Lemar and he didn't get them. Most of us knew Alexis wanted to leave but the problem with Arsenal now is that a lot of top players aren't anxious is joining them. As much as they wanted to get rid of Sanchez, they couldn't have sold him without a proper replacement.

Doubt itll be anything new if it was they'd have just tweeted it. Or theyll use Boufhasi's (sp) tweets and pass them off as their information.

And guys, the reason for the delay is Arsenal have clearly stated they want to arrange his replacement before they sign off on the deal. They're talking to Aubemyang now, and whoever else, so we'll have to just have to be patient.
What's the point? Sanchez wasn't in their squad yesterday and he won't be playing for them anymore. No need to delay his transfer. It should be in their best interest to take Sanchez's money and concentrate on signing his replacement.
