Mourinho must freeze out Mkhitaryan and take his locker away from him. Make him train with the reserves. Give him the Schweinsteiger treatment. Force him out at any and all costs to push this deal through.
That would be absolutely pathetic

No he doesn't, why should he go somewhere he doesn't want to just to satisfy United fans.
Agree. He has no obligation to leave like this. I personally believe he would be wise to go but I certainly wouldn't begrudge him staying. He needs the Arsenal move as much as Sanchez needs us.

Ornstein:

I'm really struggling to understand why BVB are relevant in any part of this
It removes a choice Mkhitaryan might have preferred. It might have some impact on the Aubameyang situation. Sure, if you accept that there's absolutely no chance of anything happening unless there's an Alexis-Mkhitaryan swap, that red lines have been drawn with no chance of further negotiation, it doesn't matter.

If Miki really doesn't want to go, can't we just pay them more?
That's what will most likely happen. Arsenal came into this window hoping to get £35M for Sanchez and the reports are United are willing to pay it so if Mkhi refuses to go then we'll just pay up.

Sorry, you are right, i've just seen numerous posts saying we can do the deal without mkhi when Ornstein says thats 100% not true.
You have to wonder though whether that’s true or just posturing / fabrication. Would Arsene keep a clearly unsettled and wantaway Sanchez despite signing a Malcom / Auba just because he couldn’t land an underperforming Mkhi? Where’d the funds come from for those deals? More likely they’d just ask for more in a cash transaction and we’d pay that and move on.

I’m sure that would go down just swimmingly with the rest of the squad.

Ummm. No time for that, even if that were accepted to be the right option (and I don’t accept it to be...). The decision has to be made soon!

well that's my issue the his "blurb" as a whole. The last sentence is basically a contradiction of all the words he said above. I'm just confused, don't mind me

Tbh, the negative effect of Mikhis potential transfer mutiny on the sanity of the muppet population is greater than if he came on in the last 5 minutes of the CL final, with us leading 2-0, against Liverpool, and scored 3 deliberate own goals; and for that reason, if he scuppers this, he should be demoted to the under 10s for the rest of his contract.

What does he mean here about the twist being obvious? Is he talking about Mkhi being a perfect Wenger player? i.e. his 'soft on the tackle' attitude?
Think he means now that the media can't add drama by talking about City, they are going to move to Mkhitaryan for the dramatic twist

Imagine the scenes if Chelsea end up with Sanchez and Arsenal end up with Willian?......

Nah me neither. Like i said previously nothing will happen until Arsenal get their replacements in. Although my opinion, seem obvious this is whats happening, Mkhitarayan involved or not.

I also don't think Arsenal would be chasing both Malcom and Aubameyang if they weren't willing to sell Sanchez for straight up cash. £35M for Sanchez and £20M for Walcott should cover £55M of the potential fee of around £90M for both of them players. I feel like Mkhi is an added bonus if they get him in the swap deal then great but I don't think they're too bothered if they get £35M and land both Malcom and Auba.

Arsenal will need to sign two players with Sanchez and Walcott gone. I imagine the Auba deal will be a tough one as BVB are notoriously quite tough to deal with.

Will need to be Malcom and Mkhi.

Mkhi in theory would be a good fit at Arsenal. Him and Ozil can combine really well imo. But if he's unsure about it, either Jose has to be straightforward with him and tell him his playing time will be vastly limited at United or as many have rightly said, pay them a little extra. I'm sure this money is probably the Perisic Money anyways, so it's not like we are re-allocating our resources to make this signing happen.

Yeah, I'm not sure why selling Mkhi is suddenly compulsory. Give Arsenal the cash and let them find someone who actually wants to go to them. It would be nice to get his wages off the books, but it's not ideal selling him to a rival and basically forcing him out.

Maybe his experience with us has put him off life in England and the PL. Maybe he wants a move abroad.

On paper it looks a perfect move for him and he would probably do well at Arsenal but upping sticks and moving somewhere new when you are probably not that keen can't be a good feeling.

That is the worst possible way to deal with this situation. You can't punish a player for wanting to stay and fight.

No, not Lisbon..Lisburn!
God knows i had my fair shares of having a go at Mkhi on the pitch but people actually having a go at a guy because he is was enforced to be a key to unlock Sanchez transfer, what the feck is wrong with people!?

Maybe he does want to go but not to Arsenal, not aiming this at you but if Sanchez deal falls through, there will be plenty here and out there who will abuse him just because in their eyes he ruined their wish to sign Sanchez by not playing ball.
Good point, he shouldn't be cast as a villain and comes across as a decent bloke. He just doesn't seem happy here and it could be a good opportunity to start afresh. Perhaps his agent is making mischief in the background to get best possible deal.

Why would Chelsea be in the driving seat? Can they offer them Mkhi if we can't?

I'm not really bothered if we get Sanchez or not at this point. Even if he's a success for us he's a short term solution. And a hugely expensive one. Yes we could use him but there's always other options.

Cons:
- Managerial doubts, who's the manager next season?
- Wages
There is no doubt that Wenger will be the manager next season.
In fact, I think the only way Wenger will leave is when he is physically incapable of managing them (ie. due to age and poor health). And I fully support this. ;)

Remember the talks of Raiola throwing a chair to the BVB board when we were after Mkhi? Make Wenger throw another one.

I think that was from Mhki's perspective. As in other options regarding clubs he could join.
