I am loving all these tears from the opposition fans. It's amazing and it's glorious!
Wait until he starts scoring goals for us and winning us points we may otherwise have dropped. Unlike the 'masterstroke' Klopp has pulled signing their 15th Southampton player in five years, Jose will have ruined football.

Stopping clicking on articles from brainless football hacks at the telegraph/independent/mirror/sun/daily mail/daily star/goal.com etc would do the trick.

They all know feck all, and of course they're almost all ABU because that's how you get clicks in a country which has a huge minority of United fans and everyone else vehemently against them.

Disparaging them as failures in journalism and failures in life is fine, but do it without putting their dinner on the table.

Football journalism:

  1. Fail in your original career path.
  2. Get job at any news agency (optional, but recommended)
  3. Get Twitter.
  4. Find transfer story and repeat someone reputable's take on it.
  5. Avoid speaking too confidently and mention that "things can change at the last minute" to ensure you're safe either way. Post often and start every other tweet with "I've been told.."
  6. If transfer fails, bide your time then return to step 4.
  7. If transfer seems likely, wait for someone to bring up figures then repeat them in a different form (i.e. change weekly wage to annual wage). Look out for narratives in the saga and modify figures to suit them (i.e. for bargains, minus 5% from transfer fee, for rip-offs, add 5%, for United purchases, add 30%)
  8. Give vague timeline (i.e. in the next week/fortnight). If looking unlikely in that time, mention disputes over bonuses/wages/fee/work permit.
  9. Repeat latest story for the time being
  10. Look for any photos of player arriving, tweet about impending medical.
  11. Once player is announced, say so. Make use of "as expected" if need be.
  12. Revel in success.
  13. Return to step 4 or use your recently acquired 'credibility' to kick off your own story.
  14. If success, a blue tick, ITK status and actual sources coming to you may await. If failure, return to step 4.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
The problem with that it it sets a precedent and then they have to start refuting every bullshit story that gets published or it looks true simply because there is no denial.
Or journalists have to justify their comments? Sure if clubs started together, papers would quickly stop.

Who's got the most money/can afford a legal battle... clubs or newspapers?

(No, i don't remember them chasing Pogba)Le Iene. It's a sort of satyrical/inquisitve show. Basically those guys go around trying to embarass politicians/scammers/etc who deserve it or just try to have a laugh at a famous persons expence. Mourinho lived in Italy so he's likely familiar with the show, and i'm guessing he played along since he's extremely media savvy
Ahh right.

These are the ones who did it to Pogba, not the same then

feck me, and you lot were once laughing at Liverpool fans checking flights.:rolleyes:
Did you just ignore the part where I said that I didn't think it was going to happen today?

I was just pointing out that him being in London in the morning doesn't mean that he can't sign that day. That there are ways to move from London to Manchester in an hour or so.

Those numbers are absolute horseshit, theres no way we are going to pay him £500k+ per week.
Even if that's true, there is no way his valuation should be factored in what we actually pay. His value is 30M. But...we aren't paying that. Matt Law is only fishing for traffic...and he is getting that.

There are mediocre NBA players who earn 14 million a year... granted they play more games and there are less players per team... but it seems that the elite EPL players are only finally earning what they probably should have been earning, rather than being overpaid. LeBron James earns 31 million in basketball, Clayton Kershaw earns 33 million in baseball, Tom Brady earns 21 million playing American football. Granted, America is a larger market... but if you take into account Champions league... international popularity and the huge worldwide audience along with the EU population alone... 14 million seems pretty reasonable for the top players in the top 5 football leagues.

No those are just two random dudes

Think they'll go after both Mou and Conte. Mou will call them d*cks and laugh and look like a charming arsehole. Conte will laugh and call them d*cks and look like a prickly cnut

No way he would be on 450k salary. Rubbish talk. Ed is not stupid. You can't pay one player 450 and put other stars on 250-300. He knows that next thing will be that pogba, de gea, lukaku will knock on his door and demand wage raise.
Sanchez will get 300k max

Whatever happened to @Acquire Me and his 'Are you guys on for tonight' yesterday night?
All he said was "How are you guys doing tonight?". He's just attention seeking. Earlier today he said "Happy Sanchezter day". Just ignore him and stop treating him like the messiah of transfer news. He's been dining on the 'glory' of the Pogba transfer for years.

Matt Law is very reliable when it comes Chelsea related news, so the fact that he's come out with that exclusive says it all. He also didn't once mention Chelsea paying £7m in agent fee to Barkley, but he writes an article that exaggerates a price that includes 4 years of wages about Sanchez's move to United. Obvious briefing and bias.
I wonder what City/Chelsea would gain by exaggerating the amount of money we are paying Sanchez.

Of course you include Mkhi’s value in the deal, if you sold him, that’s what you’d get for him.
You can't apply this logic for swap deals, it's stupid on so many levels and only retards or incredible biased people can't see it.

Firstly, from ours perspective Micky's net worth is close to zero (his 25m valuation minus the remaining wages).

Following that we're getting Sanchez for no transfer (covered by that we would have paid in wages for Micky if we would have kept him). Hence, for us Sanchez total cost is his salary, which is 14 a year for the duration of his 4.5 contract and sign on fee 20m plus 5m for Raiola making it 88m.

Our total valuation of 88m for Alexis is pretty feckin good deal considering it is going to be spread across 4.5 years and that includes wages.

That's twice less than Mbpappe's transfer fee let alone his wages.

The 75m masterstroke they bungled when tapping up the first time

About right, considering how many people will give their favorite credit for breaking a transfer story while 10 other people give credit to their own favorite. None of them being able to prove that their favorite actually was the first to break a transfer story. People confuse someplace being the first place they heard about it as being the same as "breaking the story"

Why does it even matter how much was spent on Sanchez. If its more that just shows that you've got that much dosh to spend, more power to you. Its just good business that has got Utd to this level, there's nothing to feel ashamed about. Its not likely that the splurge is being fuelled by oil money.

Can someone calculate Pep's summer spending in the same way the press are doing for Sanchez - fee + salary + agent fee + every last detail and tweet it to all these journos spewing inaccurate figures. It literally must be billions spent in one transfer window
