Wenger looks suspiciously delighted about this deal. Hope the physio dept give Sanchez a rigorous medical.
well Mkhitarayan and Aubamayang were a deadly duo at Dortmund so he could by excited by the prospect of that

Right, I'm strapping in. Reckon both players will travel today and we'll get some sneaky, terrible, camera phone photos to prove it.

Nice to get a 1st hand account from someone in Chile yesterday. Tim Vickery was busy telling all who could listen to Talksport that nobody bothered about Sánchez in Chile while bigging up the possibility of Fred joining City. He even said that if the choice was up to Sánchez then he would choose City. At that point I changed channel.
Oh.. Always wrote good articles on the BBC. Didn't think he also was the type of journo to splash the whole he would have chosen city,as if we forced him at gun point to sign the contract..

Great stuff from Wenger today. As long as it isn't against us, I do not mind Arsenal winning their games. Will be cheering for them until we next meet:D

Arsene taking at dig at City and setting the journalists straight. Reckon his friendship with SAF probably played a part.

Ive seen this wonderful phrase mentioned a few times on the Cafe, are you the original creator?
It’s from the comedy series ‘Alan Partridge’. Incredibly funny if you ever get a chance to watch it; especially series 2.

If reports of his contract are true, £400k a week is fecking ridicuous. He's 29, his best years are past him, he's crazy for asking for that amount and we're crazy for paying it. And what does that tell the rest of the squad? He's better then all of them? Do we really think he's worth more a week than Pogba?

I think City might have been on to something by backing out of a deal.
Classic for this place

Wenger on reported wages that are being bandied around....

"
I wouldn’t like to come out on the numbers, that’s a United problem.

I respect United because they generate the money they pay by their own resources.

United is a club very well managed financially and of course on the pitch so that’s why I don’t have any problem with the money they pay"
Interesting that the media bend over backwards to paint City in a positive light and treat United 'normally' refusing ever to focus on their financing, whereas a football man like Wenger can see the difference.

Classy response to be fair. He didn't need to burst the media bubble.

Really? Some of the replies I was thinking more towards the 14 year old range. Some will call me miserable, but if some of these replies are from fully grown adults it's embarrassing.
I see that you are a new member. Take a look at the Pogba transfer thread and you'll know that this is nothing at all!

How has Wenger grown so soft towards United? Especially with Mourinho here, who he must absolutely loathe. It's nice to us and everything, but Arsenal fans must hate him speaking about us in those terms, especially after taking their star player twice in the last six years. It's just further evidence he has completely lost his competitive edge.
He knows we're built on proper foundations, like his club are.

Alright, lads. I'll be preoccupied this afternoon and evening, so the climax will be reached without me :(

Maybe because hes getting a good replacement for someone with 6 months on his contract and could leave for nothing?

Wenger just completely destroyed the pathetic media narrative with just a few sensible sentences.

I think Wenger really likes Mhki, so he's not getting a bad deal considering Arsenal's situation.
I reckon he might do very well at Arsenal. He's more a Wenger player than a Jose player.
