I am interested to know if anybody on the Cafe knows why nobody such as Barcalona , Munich, PSG or Real Madrid were in for Sanchez ? Seems strange to me if he is such a tallent why none of the other big guns were / are in for him. I find it a little strange and have/Are we jumping in too quick. I mean City have the capital to compete and suddenly pulled out. Do they know something, feel he is not worth the chance or have United gone simply mad to beat city and they are now laughing seeing us blow a lot of next summer' budget ?

Or maybe I should just keep quiet.
Bayern were in him last summer but decided not to pay his wages. PSG were also interested at a point.

If anything United are blowing what should have been spent on the fourth player last season.

He's already been at Barcelona so they are ruled out, Bayern can't afford/won't pay up and Real probably just want a younger more shiny thing. Who knows? He's class and will be great.

But we would spam 500 pages,
And we would spam 500 more,
Just to be the muppets who spam a 1000 pages,
To take Mkhitaryan to London shore!

Bayern and PSG were in for him. They were both priced out if a move and he wanted the stay in England.

I was surprised at the question tbh, Norwood is a key fixture in any muppet saga and has been for a while.
Yup! Although, when he starts to tweet the transfer is already so far along that there is basically no doubt any longer regardless :p

If it was the summer window now I think we'd have much more competition from those clubs.
Seems like clubs don't put much resources and effort in the January window, which is more opportunistic.

Indeed, although he's probably said this 48 hours thing cos he wanted double time for a Sunday and they were like 'nah just come in Monday, Craig'

What are the chances he does a Ross Barkley ("fails" a medical only to sign on a free transfer for higher wages in 6 months)?
Well he will already earn more money than Messi if he signs now so I'm not sure that would even be possible.
