Dunno what some of the replies are about in here today, bossed it. Some of the passes and balls through he played today were inch perfect, shoulda let Lukaku take the penalty though.

He had a good game. Penalty misses happen and there was nothing wrong with the run up when he put his last two in.

Great performance but too arrogant with his penalties. I pray he stop the Zaza run ups. Zaza is a meme for a reason

Ignore that one kick in the game - he played great. Great determination and pulled off raking passes all game. Clean in possession too. Ran his heart out till being subbed.

He had a good game. Few laughable comments in match day thread as usual with "invisible" nonsense.

Had more touches than anyone, only Matic played more passes and Pogba completed 11/14 long balls too. Apart from this, he created 3 chances and I don't think they counted Lukaku's one on one as chance as he didn't shoot. Maybe wrong here.

Started off a bit shaky in the first 15-20, but my God did he grow into the game once we scored and settled down.

Got on the ball, shown a fantastic range of passing and was pivotal to most of the chances we created.

Some will never be happy. Very good performance today. Think he suffers from a bit of the Ozil syndrome of not slide-tackling and chest-pumping enough for people’s liking, but he adds such quality to our midfield.

Done alright, some very nice passes. Should have buried that penalty to kill the game but in all he was fine.

Played very quietly and very well. Not enough Youtube moments for some but he did what the Graeme Souness's of the world expect today.

I thought he was unplayable. He gets fouled so much and barely gets anything because of his size and strength. Passing was sublime and ball carrying when down to ten men was awesome for relieving pressure too. Great performance despite the penalty miss.

Not a bad game for him, I thought. That should be his regular level with some outstanding performances thrown in.

His other pens have been good (with decent run ups) haven't they? Strange he fecked it. Should've definitely given it to Lukaku anyway.

Sadly I only saw the last 15 mins of the game today but according to reports here he was either great or bloody terrible? Which was it?

Was good today, but I don’t think he looks happy here.

Preventing Lukaku from getting hattrick and took the pen for himself, dance around it then miss it.

Can't withstand him. He only thinks about himself.
Preventing Lukaku from getting a hattrick? He put one on a plate for him which Rom screwed up (to be fair, I think he was fouled; but he didn't seem composed at all in that 1v1). Besides, Rom hasn't been a very good penalty taker for us when he's been given the responsibility.

He should stop this dancing and put the ball in the net then and I would have zero problem.

Look, as I said he wasn't poor at all, had a decent game, but this incident was pretty annoying.

Seems the lad can do nothing right for some people. I thought he had a very good game today. Hated the run up before and hate it just as much now...apart from that, this should be his standard performance level. He's such a talented player.

Yeah I agree. Had he scored the pen and Rom got his hattrick we'd have won 4-0 which wouldn't have flattered us in the slightest. But anyway, was a good team performance nonetheless.

Can't stand those stupid penalties he takes. Other than that he was decent.

Was alright. Shame he missed the pen. I'd keep him on them though. First one I've seen him miss.

Souness just went off on one about Pogba yet again. He really doesn't like him, all the other pundits just laughed, they know its a farce yet how the f*ck is he still on Sky ?!
There seems to be a personal agenda with him, it's really weird. Pogba deserves some of the criticism he gets, and I think people like Scholes, Redknapp etc are fair, but Souness seems to really dislike the lad. Maybe he refused his son's selfie request or something. Bellamy, Defoe & the other lad were literally laughing at the man.

Fantastic today. Look at that, he cuts down on the showmanship and is able to make his highlights reel a series of tremendous passes. Keep it up lad.

Also, please change the penalty style...

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

Who gives a feck what kind of run-up he does? It's worked his previous times, but almost all penalty takers miss one occasionally and this was his one. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of the run-up either, but ultimately who cares as long as it works the majority of times (which it has so far).

He certainly didn't prevent Lukaku from getting a hattrick. Pogba and Alexis are our designated penalty takers, not Lukaku. Maybe if we were further ahead it would've been good to give it to Lukaku, but at only 2-0 it goes to your proper penalty takers.
