Sky Sports said Carrick caretaker and then external manager
Even Neville is fecking confused

It's going to be Carrick, but I'd take Wenger for a caretaker option, I'm not eve sure why. Just seems it would work for a few months, even if we would get fecked over by PSG.
He'd be so determined to do well after Mourinho. French, likable. Good football, great choice.Genuinely think Wenger makes sense for the season. With the only expectation being to improve our football, he's ideal.
I'd rather Giggs than Carrick. You can't give the job to the head coach or whatever he is when our biggest issue was that we looked poorly coached.Give it Giggsy. That'll stop the clamour to bring back the class of 92 once and for all, and will get the fans united for a bit.
We've been such a miserable lot these past few months, I think something like that would be a shrewd move.
Giggs isn’t going to leave the Wales job to be caretaker again!Surely Carrick/McKenna will be appointed caretaker manager or even Giggs.
I didn't say we wouldn't try but the fact we've come out with such a statement (ie. there will be a caretaker manager until the season) to me suggests we might have tried to contact our preferred choice and they have said not until the summer (eg. my favourite choice right now Poch)You're right, let's not even try.
Would love Nagelsmann, but he has a pre contract agreement with RB LeipzigPotential candidates:
Hard to pick one.
- Marco Rose
- Ralph Hasenhüttl
- Erik ten Hag
- Julian Nagelsmann
- Pablo Machin
- Lucien Favre
- Leonardo Jardim
- Zinedine Zidane
Something had to give, I agree there are players in that team who need moving on as well, but this was a necessary step.Player power wins out.
I couldn't defend Jose in the end though.
I think this would be decent if Jardim accepts. Please be Jardim as caretaker for now. Reassess at the end of the season.
Please God No!Zidane is favourite to be next perm manager but apparently we're going to appoint a caretaker in the next 48 hours. We must have someone already lined up and they're external. Must have good links to the club if they're willing to come in until the summer and help out?
They haven't understood anything for a long time.Sky Sports understands Carrick will be appointed caretaker until the end of the season. Not sure how reliable that intel is though.
Yep agreed - Blanc is the only one I can think of. Or for a wild card choice, Cantona as interimZidane is favourite to be next perm manager but apparently we're going to appoint a caretaker in the next 48 hours. We must have someone already lined up and they're external. Must have good links to the club if they're willing to come in until the summer and help out?
Any source for this? I would be really happy if Poch comes inPoch won't leave in midseason, so some caretaker now and then go all out for Poch.
Apparently Woodward met him many times.
Wenger's been ruled out by Simon Stone.Caretaker to be external...Jardim, Wenger?
Rafa.No serious manager worth their salt is taking up a caretaker role. Too much pride for that. Chelsea only got Hidiink because he was mates with Roman and was old anyway and didn’t want a full time gig.
