In Ireland but I presume UK and Ireland have similar catalogues but this shit is barely worth it anymore. Every week or so it seems to be losing another show I watch, Rick and Morty leaving on December 31st.

And their Originals have gone through the floor in quality in recent years. If Hulu ever launches over here I'm straight on it.
Yeah Hulu is a much better service IMO. Really hope it does launch here eventually.

Is that definite this time? That date seems to be pushed back on a monthly basis.

Put it on last night and there was a notice in the top corner saying "This show is leaving Netflix on December 31st." so I presume so.
That's been coming up for a while, and when that date finally comes, it's pushed back a month or so and a new date appears.

It might actually go this time. Or it might not...

It's alright on free trials but I would never pay a suscription, there's a lot of films which are extremely old, I have been watching Stranger Things though and that is a brilliant programme.
To be fair it's more about the TV shoes and documentaries now. So much content gets added.

What originals or exclusive/not on Netflix programming on Hulu are you interested in?

What makes Hulu a much better service? I have Netflix, Hulu plus and Amazon Prime. They all offer something (besides originals) that the others don't but I feel Netflix has the best interface and I experience the least technical problems with it overall. What I like about Hulu is the fact its a syndication machine for the networks and is pretty much 'next day' streaming from original air dates. Hulu for me does fall short of Netflix and Prime when it comes to its originals. Handmaids tale is a fine production though and so are Castle Rock and the Looming tower. They are getting somewhere in this respect.

You said one of the main selling points IMO. The fact they have current shows available only a few hours after being on TV is a huge advantage. In regards to programing I'm a big fan of black sitcoms which Hulu has plenty of. 'The Game', 'Family Matters', 'Blackish' amongst others.

Also Hulu has a bigger and better selection of Spanish language shows which I also watch. So overall its the selection of shows which are better and the network TV thing stated above.

I'm watching Devilman Crybaby at the moment.

There's one character whose only characterisation so far is that she's got big tits. Literally. That's it.

And now I'm on an episode with a cliffhanger where she's in peril. I think the writers want the audience to sympathise with her predicament solely because of those big ol' titties. I'm not gonna lie...

Pretty standard Anime fare, to be honest.

Anime.

Gave that up after two or three episodes, such an ugly looking show.

Finished watching Devilman Crybaby. It wasn't worth the time, if I'm being honest. I'd skip it unless you have nothing better to do.

On the other hand, I've just started Voltron: Legendary Defender. Despite the childish name, it's been fecking amazing so far.

Produced by Dreamworks and made by some of the same people involved in Avatar and Korra, so it's a more than decent pedigree.

It's not a show you can watch in background because there's always something happening on screen that you need to pay attention to. Really enaging, so that's not been a problem. Fantastic world building and action, too.

For what it's worth, it seems as though the show has completed its run. You can binge it safe in the knowledge that you won't catch up to the latest episode then need to wait for new ones to come out.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. Also, seasons 1 and 2 both got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, if that matters to anyone.

Just watching Gringo, the documentary on John McAfee. If even half of this is true the guy has led a mental life. And I'm less than half way through the documentary
Apparently running for president in 2020 too.

I’ve got the 4K pack and it looks like it’s rising from £10 to £12.....it’s almost double what I used to pay a few years ago.

It’s starting to get a little expensive, they look likely to lose around 20% of their library this year too.

I'm still at the £7.99 plan, since my countryside internet can't handle ultraHD. If it goes up by a £1 then I won't be too fussed. Still half the price of a TV licence, and I use it infinitely more than any beeb service.

Seen that! It’s been posted in the Reddit thread along with a mental post that is supposedly him detailing his research in to bath salts. Definitely make sense when you connect that with the doco though.

Literally just stuck the Bros doc on by the way!

We're probably in for more Netflix originals, I just wish their movies weere of a higher quality, the series at least are usually quite good.

it's not surprising that they're poor quality seeing as they basically just buy reduced publishing rights for films that turned out too shit for the cinema.

Plus, people still watch them. Bird Box was a generally forgettable film that would probably have bombed in the cinema yet got a massive audience and shitloads of people talking online because it was accessible on Netflix.

They've been adding a ton of solid older movies recently here which pleases me. I must have back log of at least 100 movies in their library now.

Yeah I guess it's literally made for TV stuff. I shouldn't be shocked that's it this way.

Binge watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.I'm disappointed with myself that I didnt start this earlier.
Brilliant so far.
I've watched the first 2 series. It got better when Devito joined, but I can't get over that all the characters are complete arseholes.

I like how all the characters are arseholes. That concept works well in comedy:lol:
Dennis and Dee go on Welfare is currently my favourite.
It does, but there is no counterbalance at all. Even the people they get involved with tend to be arseholes too.

I like the one where they pretend to be handicapped.

Arseholes barely covers just how fecked up they are by series 7 onwards. Dennis is borderline evil and all the funnier for it.

It genuinely blossoms into one of the all time great comedy series.

I've never binged anything like I binged that. And it's one of the only things I'll go back through.
I dont watch much TV but when I hit a program I enjoy I can binge through it quite comfortably.
Happened with the original Twin Peaks (still need to catch up on the recent series),IT Crowd,Atlanta and now this.

I'm really going to need to give IASIP a try. I need to watch parks and rec too, they both always have people raving over them.

P&R is amazing. First series is shite though. It's only six eps so I'd skip it. You won't miss anything anyway as they basically changed the whole format of the show because of the negative reviews.

I agree with Bill on IASIP. I hated the characters so never got into it.

Hmm, I agree it's nowhere near as good as from season 2 onwards but I wouldn't say skip it, not for first viewing. It at least intros the characters and still has a few great moments in there. It's only 6 short episodes so you'll be through it in no time.
