Which Corbyn somehow managed to turn into an own goal. His continued ability to shoot himself and the party in the foot, given even the tiniest hint of an opportunity, is remarkable.

Once again, we’re reminded that someone with aspirations of winning a General Elections doesn’t seem to have even the most basic idea of how to play the games successful politicians need to play. All he had to was turn up, participate, then spin the meeting as just another Tory driven waste of time; with Labour the only adults in the room. And he couldn’t even manage that. Instead it’s him that’s being perceived as behaving like a child. What an incompetent tool.
Spot on, he has no political nous! He will never win a General Election if you can’t even get an advantage over a incompetent Government such as this.

The guy from the SNP is on Sky News at the minute and was asked about the meeting and he said it was the same old story and nothing came of it.

Well put, he's seems so clueless at times it's mind-boggling. Crazy how some are still defending him

Inviting Chuka is pretty darn contemptible though. You would be pretty put out as a player if the tea boy started contributing to a United team meeting, especially if the tea boy was known for making really shit tea, and was also a complete twat.

Would anyone have criticised Corbyn for attending a meeting where Umunna was present? How he decided to leave the meeting when that would only see him ship more pointless criticism, I have no idea.

Yep. Poor optics for Corbyn

Are we pretending that Chuka is a relevant politician now? He's just another Blair clone, no thanks.
Indeed he's not relevant, which is why you shouldn't make him relevant by having him be the reason don't attend what is (in terms of optics at least) an important meeting.

No but I think it was an attempt to humiliate him, and everyone in the room would have known what the PM had done.

Given that it was a signal she wasn't serious about agreeing a way forward, he obviously judged it was better to leave. He played himself.

Anyone know how she plans to get another vote when the speaker has refused bringing the same vote again?
She could change/amend the "standing orders" - essentially changes the rules. But that requires consensus in Parliament.

Or she could end this parliamentary 'session' and start a new one - but that's controversial as you'd essentially be using the Queen as part of a political manoeuvre.

Corbyn was an idiot to turn up in the first place but even more so to leave.

The fake outrage that something would have come from the meeting though
Not seeing any outrage. Just bitter dissapointment, which is all Corbyn has offered on Brexit.
