So you're saying multiple threads about a player's best position and an interview by that player that happened shortly afterwards (following a United match) where he stated his favourite position were unrelated?

Ok then.
Of course it is, we do it all the time. It's a forum, we share our thoughts on formations and players best positions/roles. And Pogba has never been adamant about anything other than wanting to be an all action player.

Getting on a plane meant he wasn't resting his ankle? Who knew
Well clearly the one hour of sitting on the plane isn’t the problem. Is it that hard to understand that resting your ankle is the only way of clearing that kind of injury and he didn’t do that as well as he could have.

TBH our performances without him against ‘the big six’ have been superb this season so I’m far from bothered if he’s out! Matic and Fred were great against Burnley
Scott McTominay played a huge part in all of the games against the bigger sides and was a one of the main reasons we won those games, so with him being injured and potentially no Pogba that’s a massive blow. The thought of Matic playing against any decent sort of opposition gives me shivers and I’m not sure he’s fit enough to play 2 games in quick succession considering he’s not been playing all season.

True, but I hope/think Matic is enough against Arsenal. Against Wolves and City we will probably not win without Mctominay sadly. Just hope they rest players and focus on the league ;). Not going to happen with City though, but Wolves might rotate.

For a social media fanboy - surely a post to clarify all the speculation would be quite simple?

“gutted I’m not quite fit enough to face Arsenal....but come on you reds!.....”

simple?

No - let’s keep fanning the flames .....
Contrary to popular belief, Pogba doesn’t actually post on social media much. I know he’s being painted as social media poster boy but his last post on Twitter was over a month ago and he averages like 1 post per week on IG (majority of them not being personal posts/handled by his management team)

McTominay would have been perfect to bully this Arsenal midfield
Yep, so annoying all these injuries just can’t seem to catch a break, just when you think everyone’s coming back and we’re near a full strength squad someone else drops out. I don’t think we’ve had all are midfielders available to us all season bar maybe the first few games, very frustrating!

Aye I hope Matic can churn out at least another few decent performances for us while he’s here, better yet hopefully Pogba’s made his own way to London and will start with Fred tonight....one can hope ha. Yeah Wolves and City might be a step to far without McTominay, he was brilliant against City was all over the place winning balls and controlling the middle of the park, the energy you get with him and Fred is vital against those teams something that’s severely lacking when Matic plays.

Mate, he came back and asked to play that Rochendale game when he has not fully recovered to help the team because he felt we needed options, and he played and got injured more... that's not someone not committed to the club. We have to stop that guys, maybe the circumstances are weird, maybe a lot of things are weird, but Pogba is the one who asked to play to help the team literally and that's how it back fired to us.

The situation will get resolved when we get some good winning streaks in the league and other competitions that will relax everyone and allow Pogba to play well. We are very unlucky to lose Scott for 8 weeks, that's not great at all when we needed him.
Hahaha, the lengths people will go to defend him.

Paul Pogba came back to help us against “Rochendale” at home because “he” felt we needed options to beat a league one team at home.

Did he get an OBE in the new years honours list for this grand gesture of self sacrifice?

"Frustrating" is the right word. At least Bailly is back now :wenger:

Are you the ref?
Thats one part of it - the other is that it is stupid to confirm or deny if your best player can play, if he is in doubt.

Arteta would probably tweak his tactic if he knew if Paul is or isn’t playing beforehand.

Ole has done these things before.
I really, really am hoping he plays today.

Hes not leaving in Jan so not sure why he wouldn't want to play in such an high profiled game that will be watched by millions especially today. Whatever you think about Pogs, I've never heard anything about him refusing to play and these types of games are good for the Pogs brand.

Honestly though, I'm happy for him. He had a nasty long injury and as long as we have fit bodies, the better. I don't wanna see Jones nor Rojo anymore
Aye joking aside I’m also glad he’s back it was a nasty injury and he’s actually a pretty good defender when he can stay fit, was really good when he first joined the club thought we had unearthed a gem, just needs to cut the rashness out his game and improve his positional sense a bit but all that comes with experience something he has very little of at the top level and is impossible to gain when you’re constantly injured. Yeah and as you say anyone that stops Phil Jones getting on the pitch I’m all for.

Why would he travel to a game in London, a big game at that, by himself?

He's clearly not in the squad for today. The fact he was up late last night/this morning for new years is another clue.

He's either injured again (not buying it) or he's trying to force a move.

Sick of the circus now. Sell him. Time to move on.

How does Ole accept that type of trashing from a player agent? If that was Sir Alex, he would have sent the player and his agent behind the moon.
I guess it s because it s not him who actually takes the decisions on Pogba but Ed.

So right now, what do we actually know?
Not much really. The full picture will probably come out in the near future. If there even is a "full picture".

I suspect it's a lot of dramatic overreaction right now, as it was in the past.

What has football twitter deduced to be facts as of this moment? We know he didn’t travel down with the team but has he actually travelled to London otherwise or is that not known yet?

It’s been confirmed by Stone that he is in London. Looks like he made his own way there.

He didn’t train after his trip to France so doubt he’s made himself available to play for arsenal, as he could not be bothered going to Burnley to watch the club that pays him £1,256,000 a month I’d hazard a guess he will be at home again counting his latest pay cheque.

If he plays and wins the game is he then just angling for a move?

Again, you mixing facts and opinion. We just need the facts.

He didn’t train after the trip to France? That’s enough.

Everything after that was your opinion. We have no idea if he ‘couldn’t be bothered’ or not.

Don’t need to hazard a guess at anything either right now. Just the facts.

So a forum is no longer a place for opinions?

All I asked for was the factual information.

You can still have your opinions and discuss them as much as you want but it wasn’t what I asked for.
Well sounds like you shouldn’t believe the “facts” that are being reported on this page
