He's one of the most divisive players I think we've ever had, but you can't argue his ability. He was poor today, but we didn't play to his strengths. DCL looked the better player because Everton played to his aerial ability all game, but if you're a team that's looking to build a title winning squad capable of fast, attacking and exciting one-touch football, then who here would swap Martial for DCL?
We need to play to his strengths, and likewise Ole needs to drill into him the importance of always being a threat in games. If he can improve his game in terms of making runs in behind and also in the penalty area, and we can create more moments for him to effect the game, then we'll see a different player.
Having said that, he's going to hit 20 goals this season after about 2 months out and playing in a squad that before Bruno was devoid of any creative spark.
