Another one for all those defending this.
I know of an event scheduled for April, its a niche hobby and will have an attendance of around 30,000.
Everyone involved thinks its a bad idea, they don't want it to go ahead but it is also where they make around 60% of their annual income over a single weekend.
They can't cancel it though. Because they have sunk significant investment into holding it already, and unless the government or venue say no, their cancellation insurance will not pay out.

My company have pretty much been running around like headless chickens the last 3 weeks. We are in an industry that can 99% be done remotely, but we are still paper based...

At least you create a bit more of a distance between people and if there is a confirmed case and possible spread, it will only apply to 50% of the business instead of 100%.
It's not the complete answer, but it's a reasonable start.

So because they have Governments who are more harsh than ours they can provide childcare for Doctors / Nurses when schools are shut? But that's only part of the answer you so cryptically state... hmmm the mystery deepens.

When I did my induction day for my trust we had a 15 minute lecture solely telling us that if we didn't like gallows humour we were perfectly entitled to shut the feck up.
The government said any symptoms self isolate for 7 days, I imagine that would apply to kids as well.

a bit of a silver lining here is the link between PTSD and the hippocampus. PTSD sufferers tend to have decreased volume in that part of the brain, and doctors etc tend to have larger hippocampus’ stemming from their superior memories/need for retention. So scientifically speaking, PTSD is less likely to affect people on the front line defence for this. Obviously not a blanket statement, though, as some will undoubtedly suffer.
I've no doubt that Trump has got it at this point. He's been in contact with so many that have it. Seen speculation/rumours on Reddit and Twitter that he's refusing/likely to refuse a test due as it will result in him being in isolation and not allowed to swan off and play golf whenever he pleases.

Stupid doesn't even begin to describe it. These sort of decisions usually lead to trials for gross negligence.
I think that's the case everywhere now tbh. You can tell by the number of officials, celebs, sportspeople coming out positive now that the figures everyone is reporting are not worth the paper they are written on. All that will matter when all the dust has cleared is how many have died. Not just from Covid19 directly but also from the fallout of it.

He lives in a flat above the chancellor's office at number 11, and has been sitting in Westminster with 600+ of them all crowded in.
He won't get tested either, because he has no symptoms.
I'd guess at least one senior minister, johnson, patel or sunak, will be diagnosed with it in the next two weeks.
