I think this backs up what the real rumoured situation is. We'd probably be fine with the 108m but asking for the rumoured 50m euro agents/signing fee is going to be the real issue and you have to question if the player really wants to play for us. We don't want another Pogba situation where he signs, earns a gigantic paycheck and then angles for a move to Real in a year or 2.Tweet

He does have a Nigerian name, no surprise his clientele.Just looked up this agent as I've never heard of him. Looks like he represents British/African players; Saka, Iwobi, Nketiah...and Todd Cantwell of all people.

He doesn't say that though. It's all about the 120Maybe wages are agreed but the agent/signing on fee is going to be the major sticking point.
We scraped into the CL. I doubt Woodward or the Glazers give a shit about closing the gap at the top. Top Four is enough sadly. This is getting so frustrating! We've got the best player in his position, in the world, aged only 20, wanting to join us. Not only that but it coincidentally is the one position we haven't properly filled in over ten years!!
If we don't get him this window, he'll end up being a Ballon D'or winner at Madrid, and then we'll be left wondering why we can't close the gap between us and City.
FFS Woodward get it done!

They don't care one bit, they'd be happy for top four and zero trophies for the next decade if their pockets stayed full.We scraped into the CL. I doubt Woodward or the Glazers give a shit about closing the gap at the top. Top Four is enough sadly.
Sadly, yes. My gut feeling has always been that Ole is an ideal manager because he will not kick off at lack of transfer market intent and will just be happy to be in situ. I would love Conte at OT because he would probably impale WoodwardThey don't care one bit, they'd be happy for top four and zero trophies for the next decade if their pockets stayed full.
Nope, our revenues are colossal, we are miles behind, Ole is showing progress but if he's not backed he'll end up the same as the last 2 managers.Oil money may have something to do with that, don't you think?
Nice sermon, but irrelevant. The Glazers have been hoarding for years when Fergie was manager and have been pocketing huge chunks of revenue every year, long before covid was even a word, so don't give me that shit. Ole has done really well with a very limited squad filled with mistakes made by the clowns above long before covid as well.Chelsea have bundles of cash available due to not spending any cash on transfers over the past year so have expenses available
Chelsea also didn’t spend £50M in January
City have spent £61M this Summer on Ake (40M) and Torres (£21M)
We however in the other hand are looking to spend £108M (Using the asking price here) on ONE PLAYER
That’s not counting the other £70,80,90M it would cost to get a striker, or a DM or CB & arguably that needs £3-400M worth of investment.
NEWS FLASH.
If United aren’t making money how do you expect them to spend it?!?!?
You moan about United being rich, you moan at the Glazers not spening anything, you moan at United just splashing the cash on anyone (LVG era) - They cannot win
So yeah, I can understand why United are negotiating a payment structure or a somewhat cheaper price to what both teams can agree on.
Grow Up! COVID is a real thing, it will affect everything, house prices may get cheaper & whatdya know we’re in a recession!
Everyone us affected even Man Utd.
Nein.Sancho replacement?
Do you accept Community Chest trades? If only Dortmund would accept 120 million in monopoly money.
Two year loan bro from RMRM said they were going to be in for him next summer IIRC. WOnder if they included a first option on him as part of this deal.
RM are loaning him to Dortmund?RM said they were going to be in for him next summer IIRC. WOnder if they included a first option on him as part of this deal.
Yea I know, what I meant is does this deal include a first option on Sancho. Two year loan bro from RM
I highly doubt that. That stuff almost never happens.Yea I know, what I meant is does this deal include a first option on Sancho.
First option serves no purpose it's a useless thing .Yea I know, what I meant is does this deal include a first option on Sancho.

Ornstein said that City have an option to match any offer a club makes for Sancho as first option. It's not unusual.I highly doubt that. That stuff almost never happens.
Yes, but they sold Sancho so could ask for first option. Real don't own Sancho.Ornstein said that City have an option to match any offer a club makes for Sancho as first option. It's not unusual.
They can do it even if they didn't have the first option and If Sancho wants to go back to City he would and Dortmund wouldn't stand in his way if their price is met so just like any other transfer it doesn't give them any leverage.Ornstein said that City have an option to match any offer a club makes for Sancho as first option. Very few clubs can afford this fee under normal circumstances. I find it hard to believe if we don't sign him this summer he will go to any number of clubs next summer. There has been no indication the current situation will just disappear in a couple of months. COVID will have long lasting effects on large gatherings for many more months, if not years. The way I see it playing out is fans will be allowed back into stadiums and infections will rise requiring restrictions to be put in place again. Loss of gate revenue is huge for many clubs. On top of that the lower income from TV and sponsors will really take it's toll.People need to relax about this situation. Now people worrying he may go to Madrid next summer. Of course he may well do but doesn't he supposedly miss England? I thought that was a big reason why he wanted to come to us. Swapping for Germany for Spain is still foreign to him. Another new country and another new language.
He will stay at Dortmund or come to us I reckon either this summer and more likely in a future window. I don't see him going to Spain.
Exactly. Money isn't going to free flowing next summer too. The backlash to this pandemic will be felt for a while yet.Very few clubs can afford this fee under normal circumstances. I think United can come up with the cash but there is so much uncertainty about the economy for the coming months/years it's no wonder the club are not wanting to fork over the entire amount up front. If COVID didn't happen Sancho would already be playing in a United shirt.
This is the reality of the situation as much as it sucks.
That is just my take on the situation and if you look at those earlier tweets from Falk it does suggest they would accept the money in instalments rather than a lump sumHow do you infer that? It seems BVB don't even want installments, but a lumpsum. Feck them if that's the case. Let them enjoy the issues of Covid while we get on to other targets.
Yes, but they sold Sancho so could ask for first option. Real don't own Sancho.
The fee has to be agreed on a club to club basis for any transfer and I doubt Dortmund are a fan of us at the moment. In terms of first options obviously it would depend on the text and legality of City's first option as to whether Real can displace the agreement with City and Dortmund about first options, but there's nothing to stop first options between clubs being written as part of any other transaction. Reading between the lines from what Ole said after being asked about Sancho yesterday - that we'll only move for players that we're 100% certain of, we won't move for Sancho until it's clear that he only wants to come to us and that's the delay IMO and what the press are describing as a "game of poker". I think the way our PR campaign for the player has changed also indicates that. They can do it even if they didn't have the first option and If Sancho wants to go back to City he would and Dortmund wouldn't stand in his way if their price is met so just like any other transfer it doesn't give them any leverage.
I take it you didn’t get the answer you were looking for when you posted this in the Reddit thread?I can't decide if Ole doesn't trust the European transfer market or just simply doesn't have enough knowledge of it
It means if they accept an offer from another club they are obliged to offer the player to the club with the first option first, for the agreed price.I don’t know but what does first option even mean? The courtesy to inform the promised club of an offer if another club elsewhere wants to buy the player?
Romano is going to lose his shit in the end. How many times has he answered the same question in the last week alone? Poor kid.Tweet
