I'd also expect no one to take me seriously, and these are player who've played in the PL, for a club way bigger than Brighton, after coming straight from Championship loans AND performed.
As a Chelsea fan on here, I've been told “you're not making top 4 cos you're sh*t!” several times. Its banter and wind up, you don't see me going around with a ‘classy post’ measuring rod. Now I'm not gonna banter a supporter of a small club with “you're not making top 4 because you're sh*te!!” I'm I ?

Well thanks for clearing that up. It certainly didn't read to me as a ‘not for sale’ valuation. Looked more to me like a Long staff situation than a Zaha one, if you get what I mean.
Also I really find it strange to be complaining about tone, class and unpleasantness of a posts on here. You probably don't get a lot of ‘banter’ on here(small clubs don't really matter much to supporters of big clubs). Take a trip through any of Spurs, City, Arsenal, Pool, Chelsea related threads. You'll find a lot of rude, classless and unpleasantly toned ‘opinions’ in there to complain about.

Does Thiago Silva still 'have it' or is he past it? Could be a clever move on a free for 1 season. We desperately need a leader/organizer in our defense.

Has a lot of contacts in clubs, the agents, external sources to them. Basically building a brand which means he now has a small team that work with him too. I think I remember reading he pays sometimes for the scoops he gets but it works out because he's the one releasing it first and becoming the most trusted guy which helps build his brand even bigger.
He definitely still has it, he'd be a great signing for you. Hope it doesn't happen.
