Yeah, they should still be heavily D.
Of course he can. Even assuming that only 3% of the votes are remaining, that is still 150k votes. He just needs to win 70k out of them.

I think that it will go the same way as the presidential race. People in the US seem to love voting for straight tickets.
Cheers both. Fingers crossed then. Panicking again needlessly :nervous:

Looks like the Republicans will retain the Senate and might even get the House.
How do you reckon that? The Reps are going to eat into the Dems' lead, but I have not seen anywhere that they are completely turning around the Dems' 35-seat advantage.

Edit: never mind, just saw your response.

Yeah, you putting that in quotes tells me quite a bit a about you.
This sort of identity politics idiocy is what alienates people. Are you saying the riots and looting helped Biden?

It was idiotic to leave the initiative to Trump, who could portray himself as the law and order candidate.

Biden should have said we abhorr racism but at the same time we won't stand for violence and lawlessness. Not in Portland, not in Seattle, not in New York, not anywhere.

That message didn't come across.

This USPS thing is a scandal. Any chance this will be investigated?

Seems to be a mix of thinking Biden is a socialist and his mental acuity. Can envisage the Democrat side doing what happened to Labour and try to go further to the left (AOC) and end up doing way worse.

Ultimately though, the economy was a priority for voters and before the pandemic they were doing pretty well. If the pandemic didn't happen, Trump would probably have won 2020 comfortably.
If I was American I would definitely vote for right wing candidates in the Democratic party so that they have a chance of winning. Who knew Pelosi, Feinstein and Biden were right in appearing as centrist as possible.

IRT Arizona, if my math is correct per NYT totals at 86%, there are about 450K votes remaining. Biden has a 93.5K lead at the moment. Trump would need to take over 60%+ of that final tally to go past Biden. But the vote thingy has Maricopa at 86% with Biden up 99K there. Surely Biden will hold AZ.
ya i'm a little surprised at how confident the trump people were. looks like pheonix isn't overcounted at all.

What this election shows is a lot of the American public like right wing politics and guys like Trump. A lot of the American public also doesn't care about COVID or Racism. Democrats can't take advantage of crisis which Americans don't care about.
US is of course, and always will be, a right wing country. So this makes sense.

Bernie called it weeks ago what would happen, at least his got his finger on the pulse, something you cant say about Biden (who may still win)

Those are countries though so they're not equivalent. If Charles Barkley didn't know that Bavaria and Swabia were neighbouring German states, no one would bat an eye.
Cute. But Swabia isn't even a State.

If Republicans take the Senate and the Houses expect retaliation and even Impeachment for like Article 25 or something, being mentally unfit and without any Dems to stop them they'll be more dangerous than a Trump presidency

I was wondering why AZ has gone so Democrat. Mad that it's largely due to people leaving Cali cause of the costs there.
Sen. John McCain was very popular there. Folks didn't like Trump saying he wasn't a war hero 'cos he got captured, nor his other attacks on McCain

Biden has now received more votes than any other president in U.S History!
Seems more due to increased population/interest in elections than anything really. Would be more interesting to see who has had the most votes compared to population at the time.
