Raiola: "I can say that it's over for Pogba at United"

Exactly, the one thing that annoys me the most is all the Pogba fan boys say "he hasn't had the team around him", "he isnt a DM", "his best position is left CAM"

Get of it, which player gets labelled World class and can only play one position and needs 4 workhorses around him? He isnt Messi level.

Look at Bruno, come into a weak team and lifted the players. He played different positions in different systems and still has an influence in games.

People forget that we had Matic, Herrera protecting Pogba and he done nothing.
Ive always pointed to Bryan Robson in this argument. He played in a Man Utd team that wasnt far off the quality that we've had in the last 5 years. (prob worse). Yet he went out and busted a gut with no excuses and stood out as a game changer quite consistently. Turned games on their head and made the difference. He played roughly the same position too. and if needed for a different role, he put his head down and grafted all the same.

So although there may be some element of truth to the 'players around them' excuse, theres plenty of other lads playing that prove the player themselves have the most influence on this. Look at Grealish ffs at Villa. Hes not surrounded with top quality! Nor is Neves at Wolves!

The lesson is also to never buy a Raiola player. Not worth the trouble.
I really hope this damages his reputation in certain countries, he should be fine in his homeland though. They love him in Italy it seems.

I don't see this hapening in January although it would be preferable.

I must admit though, a part of me wants Ole to chuck him to the reserves and make an example out of him.
If hes got any sense he will do. It's not like we are missing input from him, someone else can it in the bench instead.

Isn't he half dutch or something like that? I don't think he cares about his reputation as long as he gets top players on his portfolio (think Haaland). He's perfect for the Italian model where they no longer pay big transfer fees but instead pay good wages at low taxation rate and loads of commissions to agents and intermediaries.

I hope FIFA caps agent fees like they have promised, but I won't hold my breath.

Cannot wait for the Pogba drama to be done with.

Over rated, abysmal signing that hasnt worked. 5 years to prove his worth, all we've learned is he's all hype no substance and not worth the aggro.

Good riddance to another flop

Even though I slept on it, I'm still mad all all this and while Raiola is getting the blame from some fans, Pogba takes full blame for me. This after his awful form, fitness issues, excuses and his half-arsed displays. Pogba is not worth this drama at all and the timing pisses me off even more.

I really want Ole to freeze him out until he's either sold or comes out and plays Raiola's comments down, even if he wants to leave.

Always defended Pogba, but his form over the last 2 years and Bruno coming made me realise Pogba should have been sold.

A couple of years ago this might have worried us however at this stage I don't feel remotely concerned about this, Bruno has performed better than he has ever done in a Utd shirt and you get the feeling the guy genuinely wants the club to do well. The Pogba circus is coming to and end and I don't think we will particularly miss him, I actually feel less confident when I see his name in the starting eleven and very much view him as an impact sub.

Where does Grealish play in this team though? I don't think he wants to be on the bench most of the time and he is not going to play in holding midfield
I think he’d replace Mata more than Pogba tbh. He could play anywhere in midfield or wide.

The one good thing about this is every other fan outside of Manutd thinks Pogba is WC because they do not really watch him play for 90 mins like most United fans.

This will potentially help us get some value out of him. I would take anything between £60-80m for him.
In this economy? We'll get nowhere near that money for him. People aren't completely stupid. You saw the likes of Madrid & Juve back away from him previously. What makes you think they'd suddenly be willing to pony up? The lack of decent performances, or the egotistical comments put out by his mouthpiece? 40 mill you grab their hands and laugh all the way to the bank.

Are you saying teams don't have money or Pogba isnt worth that much? I know people talk about the economy alot but fans are coming back to stadiums.

Real and Juve backed off before Covid... which means its not so much the money, its the player. Apart from his agent, no one actually thinks he is any good.

We need to have a stance, tell his agent get £60m or he stays till the end of his contract. We may lose money but we already have anyway. £40m is not even worth looking at the offer.

40 mill is still 40 mill. You can get a damn good player for that. You also remove however much his wages are, so you can add that to the price tag. And you remove the circus.

I guess so. Well Camavinga is in his final year so we could probably get him for £20m in Jan.

I think his only real option will be PSG

Unless Juve can shift a lot of their high earners (they have failed to do so far) then they cannot absorb Pogbas wages within the FFP structure....it will be very risky for them - coupled with having to pay a reasonably large fee I don’t think they can do it off the back of a year of Covid.

Real have been very prudent due to theirstadium renovation costs - also what they have purchased over the last few seasons has been quite poor...they’ve got an old squad needing an overhaul and beating Zidane I don’t think Pogba has many admirers in Madrid.

Barca - they are really skint and also desperately trying to offload players and wages off their books....don’t think Pogba will be the answer for them - unless of course Messi leaves.....

PSG will pay the fee and the wages, let him stroll around the pitch doing what he wants and allow him to do whatever he likes socially and he can lord it up with Neymar....

People on here saying they'd sell him for 50m

Thank god you're not managing the finances of a top football club. Jesus, I'll give you £100 right now for your ps5.
We’d be lucky to get £50m for him.

My biggest worry is not him leaving. It’s the fact not many want to take him on at a price which is reasonable to us and we have to keep him another 18 months before he walks.

It was never a mistake from Sir Alex Ferguson to let him go.

It was a mistake to buy him back.

Can you imagine this combo... they would be going through managers every season.

I can imagine a manager asking Pogba and Neymar to track and them looking at each other thinking "what is this man on"?

Pogba is like a spoilt child, If he is told off, he will call his agent to put out a statement saying he isn't happy.

I hope Pogba goes PSG because he will probably have great figures in the league and do feck all in the CL.

Juventus or Real are the obvious destinations, both don't seem like the most cash rich clubs at the moment given the huge sums they're paid over the last few years. Still, it feels like a Real Madrid signing, a 'Galactico' to appease the fans over their shaky start to the season.

You'd have to imagine we have a replacement lined up already if we're ready to part ways with Pogba. In terms of like for like, there's probably nobody who can replicate the ability Pogba has in central midfield, I just hope we're looking for a more rounded midfielder who offers more in both the defensive and final third. We seem determined to stick with the midfield two, and these days there's not many box to box players out there so it will be interesting to see who we bring in.

Don't think you can put a price on that. Imagine not having this constant sideshow, or not having to pull up trees to accommodate him and still having this nonsense.

The entire club, fans etc. should be looking forward to a huge game tonight, and hoping our marquee players put in a performance. Instead, there's this shroud of bad energy around the club.

Always been a big Pogba fan and think he was our most important attacking player for large parts of his time here, however now we have Bruno they don't fit in the same side that well, and Bruno is simply better. Riola is an unprofessional twat and I hope he never represents another one of our players, but he's not wrong in what he's saying assuming Pogba is unhappy. In his defense, Pogba has never once publicly said anything negative about United, which either makes him more professional than he appears or makes you wonder how unhappy he really is.

People shouldn't take it personally. Pogba has been wanting out for quite some time. Maybe now the club wants him gone too, don't know.

For me injuries played a big part as of why Pogba couldn't properly launch his Man United career. Post Covid he's been really bad, so he also has to shoulder some of the blame. There're no hard feelings from me, i really wanted him to succeed and even today i'd play him. When he's in the mood there's no midfielder like him in the game atm. At the weeked he looked back to his best.

I can smell another Di Maria situation. People want him gone because of a bruised ego and the replacement is most likely a worse player, just remember Young vs. Di Maria.

Sure, you can buy my ps5 for £100.
It only works as it should a couple times a month anyway and makes this incredible annoying sound everytime i do anything else than play on it. Even when it dont works.

I can't wait to see the back of him honestly. Ponderous on the ball, overplays in dangerous areas constantly and has a good game in every 10.

He isn't worth the effort and he certainly doesn't work in our system. Move on, and get someone who has quality in the position we actually need.

Raiola and Pogba have no cards left to play. It's in their best interest to let Pogba leave ASAP.

Let Raiola spit his poison. He looks like a bigger fool each time.
Spot on. Considering his comments during the international break and his shite form, the patience with him was already wearing very thin.

Based on what i've read and heard i think the majority of United fans would be happy to see the back of him before this new shitshow, so its not like Pogba and that piece of lard has any good bargaining position here

The Sun reported that Pogba was quitting his international career. Pogba quickly tweeted to deny that there was any truth in that statement. His agent says the things that he says and Pogba tweets that his hair is better than Telles' hair. So while Pogba hasn't said any of this stuff himself, he also hasn't spoken out against it, so it might as well have come straight from his mouth...

He don't want to be here, better to offload him this January if possible. Hopefully we can found other gems like Bruno.

One good thing to come from this is I have never seen TheCaf in agreement on something before. I'd say that 99% of the fanbase are now saying "Pogba out"...

Not gonna lie. Dont want to see him playing for United ever again.
Exactly. The timing of it is a disgrace. Apparently this was recorded last week and released yesterday. I think they were waiting for some decent showing from Pogba. But they don't give a feck about our CL game.
