Maybe his gameplan is to deflate the players from start, knowing they will respond automatically from going down with fire and adrenaline that no other manager can introduce. Avantgarde shit. Or perhaps it’s just a gameplan going to waste every single time leading to the great players playing their way in mild desperation, with absolutely no regard to who is sitting with his iPad on the side.

Do you consider Real Madrid fans spoilt brats when they boo even their best players and force the to become even better. They even booed Ronaldo.
I think you’ll find the Caf didn’t relate too well to Madrid and their white handkerchiefs and the booing of their own players. Yeah, they’re bloody spoiled.

I think the poor start today was mostly due to Henderson's bullshite mistake surprising everyone. Otherwise we have been in control. Regardless of my opinion on him, he has done nothing wrong today so far and we're delivering what was expected.

No, of course not. It’s not the most sustainable approach to football but we’ll sort it out soon enough. What matters most is the final result.
When you're winning trophies maybe. But this football isn't sustainable in neither getting results or winning trophies long term. We play well for maybe 25 minutes every game.

We are not in control. Simply because we cant keep the ball and dominate the tempo. We either swim/get dominated or attack for the majority of the games, nothing in-between. As long as we don't get trained properly in possession/out of possession, nothing will change. Under Ole, that wont happen. We fluctuate massively, because we cant do the basics right with and without the ball on a consistent basis

Passion from Ole at the end! No complaints. Unlike the West Ham game, we didn't collapse after the shit start. Potentially tricky game handled so well. This is exactly what we need to see more of.

A win is a win but we simply cannot defend, let's see for how long we can keep coming back from losing positions.

Exactly. You’re right - we need to see MORE comebacks this year. Only now is Ole showing this.

Yeah still no blame from me for today about him overall. Henderson was the reason we were about to feck this up.

Of course he's at fault, I'm not even sure it's Hendersons fault. Maguire should of been a lot wider for one and certainly not passed it back to the keeper. It's down to bad coaching and putting the keeper under that pressure that wasn't needed.
Are you taking the piss? Please tell me you are taking the piss? This is not chess where players are moved around like pieces. In that case, all credit goes to Ole for the goals we scored as well?

Could pretty well return to top 4 next game if we defeat Leeds as Spurs and Leicester are facing each other.

After our next 4 games we really should be 2nd or 3rd.

Results is what wins trophies.

I generally agree, but we pretty comfortably controlled all of that game besides the beginning and end. Obviously consistency is a problem for us. I’m sure the staff are well aware of that. It comes across as complacency to me.

As a major complainer, I think we controlled that game well enough. A stark contrast to some earlier performances.

Honestly, scrap our defence for now and just let our attack get to work. Just be a little like Liverpool pre VVD.

We completely dominated Sheffield United from the 25th to the 85th minute - so no, it was a lot more than 25 minutes

Frankly, another questionable performance. We let them score 28% of their goals this PL season and we should be battering these teams.

People can slate me all they want but our defence is poor but our coaching is letting their weaknesses be exposed. We'll see if we can keep this going but I doubt it.

So are we still sacking Ole?

5 points off the top with a game in hand of everyone above us, win that and 2nd outright and 2 points off the top.

Sort out our home form and we are title contenders

We've never been particularly brilliant at closing games out. It doesn't excuse the dilly-dallying or the lack of composure in front of goal, but as long as I have been watching United it has been a factor. Our ball retention skills have never been fantastic when we are protecting a lead and everyone here knows that once we get into an unassailable position in a game, the dithering generally starts to kick in and eventually take hold. It's part and parcel of Manchester United Football Club.

Give Sheffield United credit, they were game today and up for a scrap. We played well in snatches and we deserved the win for the quality we showed and the extra gears we were able to find.

We could have slipped up here but we have bounced back and the main thing is those three points. Good to see Anthony on the scoresheet again and hopefully it will give him a boost, because boy are we going to need him.

Putting aside the myriad other reasons, he deserves to be sacked simply for continuing to have us playing out from the back in spite of it clearly not working for howeverfeckinglong.
The slow starts. The obvious lack of intensity. The wrong midfield. I've had enough.
We conceed first every game. I'd get rid of him for that alone
Matic/Pogba is a sackable offence in its own right, and that's before you get in to the insane decision to bring Pogba back into the side when his agent starts being a cnut despite him having been shit all season.
Straight after kick off he plants his behind on the seat, crosses his arms and tucks his chin into his jacket. Meanwhile Wilder is out there trying to get his team to start with the right attitude. Maybe if Ole starts with a positive aggresive attitude his team will do also.
Just sack him. Start like crap again!
I am sick of seeing us gift goals first half every game!

Yeah we were in full control of the game till this terrible second goal. Looked a very relaxing and comfortable night to enjoy some football. Shame about how it ended but at least we kept the win.

Hell no he takes some of the blame, if you can't see that from a coaching point of view that's your problem. We've been poor from a coaching point of view for a while now. Conceding two goals as well from a team who has lost 12 from 13 not ideal either.

Three great goals and three points, playing some lovely football a times.

Allowing a McGoldrick brace and just about getting across the line in a game against a team who can’t win against anyone.

He continues to be an enigma.

I don't do ignores but if I did I'd start my list with those that post in a manager thread because of a goal keeper calamity. Get a grip, he's not at the sideline with a PlayStation controller.

10 away wins on the trot. 16 points from our last 18. Potentially 2nd in the league with our game in hand, and yet this thread will move another 20 pages before our next game.

This forum has completely lost the plot

You cant really blame the coach for GK blunders or opposition player scoring a worldie, just like you can't credit the coach if its GK's shot saving that is saving your job.

I think 1st 15 mins and last 5 mins apart, we were brilliant. Fully in control of the game and played good football
