England were so, so poor. I think we all expected them to find some form and get back into the game, but they never looked like it at any point. Scotland should have been out of sight really, it should have been a comfortable win.

What an immense performance from Scotland, despite their best trying to lose it with some questionable decision making

Opens up the tournament lovely now

Shameful, cowardly rugby. Our obsession with playing the game without the ball is a disgraceful waste of the talent at our disposal. People (myself included) moaned about it all summer, guess what, it’s come back to bite us in the arse.
Full credit to the Scots
Fully agree. It will forever piss me off.

Scotland by far the better team today, even if it wasn't really reflected in the score.

We need a massive reset. Get rid of this negative rugby philosophy. Bring through the Simmonds, Smith, Willis, Randall and Barbeary. Start playing actual running rugby with our insane talent pool. Not spend 80 minutes watching Farrell kick the fecking ball away (down Hoggs throat as well....who the feck came up with that game plan)

We just weren't with it at all today, fully reminded me of the world cup final where we just gave away penalties constantly and looked miles off the pace. I hate losing but full credit to Scotland they deserved it and if we had have scored a late try to win it it would have been completley unjust.

Most important thing now is, if we can back this victory up with a win against Wales next weekend at Murrrayfield. Failure to do so, then today’s huge victory is just going to turn out to be a waste of time. Vitally important now we build on this and have a good campaign.

Horrendous performance from the start to the end........i have hoped we would lose this match after 70 minutes........Eddie Jones must answer some big questions in the next weeks or we will lose even against Italy.

Scotland deserved their victory although I expected them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Their defence was outstanding which is reflected in their lack of missed tackles.

England's discipline, or lack thereof, was unacceptable at any level of rugby, let alone test match rugby. Aussie Eddie has a bit of work on his hands because England should be producing better than what they have dished up over the last year or so.

If you lot revert to type and roll over against Wales at home it will be the most Scottish rugby thing ever

Really can't see Wales winning this one today. I have not been impressed with them under Pivac at all. In fact, they've been bloody awful. Comfortable Ireland win for me.

Going to be a contest of who can be less shite. If it wasn't for COVID, the Springboks would easily whitewash the Lions.

I dunno, we're really not all that great either.
It's going to be a war of attrition. I'm not expecting a good game at all here. Wales lack any sort of invention on the ball, so I foresee a lot of kicking in this one.

Does North play much in the centre? Strange to see him there, or at least I think I've always seen him on the wing.
Yeah, he's played centre a few times. The more pressing concern for North is that he hasn't performed really well for a few years. I must confess, I don't watch club Rugby only international so not sure what he's been like for his club, but he's been very poor/average for Wales, IMO. And when he's on the wing, he's never in the bloody game. He can go through large swathes of the game without having a touch. At least at centre he's more involved.

Well played Scotland. They took advantage of an unmotivated below par team. They out thought us and has better line speed with a little help from the Ref who missed several offsides for them. Playing the Saracens guys was a mistake, they should have been brought on in the second half. Six weeks without a competitive game at this level is massive. compare them with the Autumn Internationals performance. No excuses, they won we lost.

TBH I’m kind of ready for that as I’ve seen it happen way too often in the past. Hopefully not this time for once!

Wales game now.
Surprised by POM - a man of his experience doing that.
Right call.

His Barnes drunk? He initially doesn't spot the foul that led to the red card, he didn't immediately asked for concussion test for Williams, he doesn't spot clear forward passes and is generally woeful.

Edit: And players are apparently allowed to keep the ball on the ground and roll around.
