With a plot twist like that M.Night Shylaman would be proud
What other team in their right mind want anything to do with this? It seems to me right now that the only way he leaves is on a free. Real or Juve won't/can't pay for him and won't/can't offer good enough players in return.

To be honest at this point I reckon he signs another fat deal with us.

‘I will do what I have to do not in front of you, but in the shadows, as I have always done.’

What's that supposed to mean?
He's trying to imply he will get the deal done in silence. Good luck. I don't think we will accept it. Let's see how this charade ends up.

I hope we sell Pogba and don’t get sucked into making him the highest paid player in england. let him go to a club where he will be happy and where he will no doubt look world class again. What are the odds if he stays he ends up like DDG on monster money but looking unhappy and the fans increasingly on his back for patchy performances. I think Bruno took his most effective spot in the team.

If we actually reinvest the money plus our standard transfer budget (whatever that is?) and go and try and fill 2 or 3 first team holes then that’s a silver lining for everyone. Will we do that though? I think we could be in for another frustrating summer in the market with pogbas transfer/contract being the clubs main focus. Sancho, a defender and a DM and we could mount a proper title challenge. 200 million minus the Pogba money. We aren’t far away but it needs 1 or 2 serious signings to push it over the top.
I know what you mean but Pogba leaving is not as simple as just reinvesting the money.
A player like Pogba allows us to play in a certain way that is difficult to stop against major oppositions.
Him leaving, is more than just replacing him. We would need to change our way of playing, again.

When we are not yet fully successful, that's a set back for us.
Granted, we might need to go through it, but it's way easier if we can just build on Pogba instead of having to let him go, find a player who will undoubtfully force us to change our style, and build on.

He's a really good player but I think he will have to go if we're to sign the likes of Grealish in this current environment. And I'm ok with that - Grealish is the better player. Still wish he would go out with a better relation to the club/fans, still feel like he's one of our own.
Grealish is completly different. They are not the same player / position / style at all.

I don’t see it. Pogba had his first good game for ages against top English opposition v Liverpool not so long ago. What was the best match before then? The city comeback? Spurs off the bench last season if they count? He’s not been consistent enough. He’s not happy here. Get rid. Take the money and run!

There is that too. But even with unlimited money, who would be an upgrade on Pogba? Players that would come, I mean.
Not sure. I mean Poga has his plus and minuses as we know. Anyone we acquire would surely be different and not a direct kind for kind replacement. Maddison? Grealish? Someone who can carry the ball and transition it to the forwards.

I would consider them to be more Bruno and Rashford competitors. Grealish is great at carrying the ball (so the caf would hate him for not releasing the ball quickly enough), but I think Pogbas carrying and passing ability combined is greater than Grealish’s. Both good players, though.

Even if Pogba goes, I don’t think Maddison or Grealish are the answer. Especially with English + United tax added

I am just glad that he didn't come out with this before an important game this time. I just hope we get the maximum money possible from the buying club for Pogba.

The problem with selling Pogba, is that we can’t sign anyone better in his position.
Or we won't. We'll not spend enough to not miss him.
This./

The moment Raiola spouts his nonsense people act like it’s FM & that we’ll spend whatever we get + more to improve the team/squad which given our recent history just doesn’t seem likely.

When Pogba goes [looks inevitable] be prepared to be told how DVdB has had a season to settle & that he’ll ‘be better for it’.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
I dont believe this has anything to do with Pogba. I think he's trying to drive up interest in Pogba so that he can point to external interest if renegotiations are ongoing.

I have a feeling that one or two things are about to happen. Pogba is going to resign and Raiola is about to get turfed as his agent, or he's off to Juve in a swap with Ronaldo and cash our way.

I think that Raiola is doing his typical BS. Stir up interest. It will either help him to get a better contract or, if not, then sign with someone who will give him the contract he wants. This time, though, things are different since i'm not sure who has the cash to lay out and wants Pogba. Think he'll resign on better wages and keep Raviola.

Under any of our previous managers post SAF I'd think maybe this could happen, think Moyes with Rooney, and they use it as a power play to say how attractive the club is. However Ole seems ot have a clear idea of the type of player he wants in the squad (both playstyle wiseand mentality wise), and if that means letting people go who either dont fit that mould, or dont want to be part of the mould, then I would trust him to make the decision. Pogba will get a massive contract wherever he plays next season, but if he does stay and is offered a new deal, I would expect its because Ole and Pogba both have a full understanding of the other side's expectations.

with out Pogba, our win percentage is 100% this year (played 8, won 8) so I am not too concerned if he leaves.....If we get a mote committed and consistent player in his place I take it any day...with less circus

Is there a good stats website for getting figures such as that? AKA click on a player and get the team's win% with them playing.

I doubt Ronaldo wants to come back. Besides we really dont need to swap one primamadona for another on ridiculous wages.

Our style of football when going attack is relying on our front four. We use two of our centre back and our double pivot to pass the ball to find the front four whether it’s inside or outside the opposition box and let the front four to do their works. I think if we can replace him with someone who can do the magic in front four like Grealish or Sancho, it will be enough to cover his creativity. We can stick with McT and Fred in starting XI for a little longer in double pivot while Donny will step in to provide more cover and competition in the double pivot position.

Technically accurate, but it gives a false impression since a number of them were teams like Luton, Watford, Baseksehir and West Brom, matches where we were obviously big favourites. Also need to add in the games where he was on the bench and came on late:

Won:
Newcastle
Everton
Brighton

Draw:
PSG (he assisted to turn it into a win)
Chelsea
Leicester

Loss:
Baseksehir
PSG
Leipzig

And in the most recent Everton match we were winning when he had to go off injured and they eventually got the draw.

I've been wondering for a while whether there's a stats site or metric that weights opposition strength and then combines it with players' win%.

I don't give a fcuk what the shit fat Mino says in the media, not sure why you all get triggered by his stupid remarks, the guy talks shit all the time, always has and always will, I also don't give a fcuk if he is talking shit on Pogba's behest or on his own, talk is just talk, and the fat greedy Italian is the biggest mouth out there.

See Ole, he side stepped the whole thing as if it didn't matter.

Pogba is not above the club, he knows it, so when it's time, the club will offer him a new contract, and I suspect it won't be a big one due to the impact Covid has on the finances of the club.

He can choose to sign and commit or not to sign and either leave this summer with a fee (perhaps 50mil++) or the next summer on a free.

That's all there is to it..

I suspect That shit mino will say something again in the near future like he usually does.. and it wouldn't matter to Ole or to Manchester United

the system will need to change. I'd suggest VDB as a B2B with McT/Fred as DM. Then we invest big on a striker (Haaland) and a CB

When we are not yet fully successful, that's a set back for us.

Changing our way of playing isn't necessarily a bad thing though.

I love Pogba. I think he's one of the most naturally talented playmakers in the world. However you can't deny his weaknesses either. He's a liability defensive wise and he dilly dally too much with the ball which tend to be a problem in the fast paced and ultra defensive EPL football.

If we sell the Frenchman then we can play a more hardworking CM who might not have Pogba's talent but would contribute better both defensively and in terms of releasing the ball quickly. United is built around pace and having the ball moving from defence to attack as quickly as possible so that would suit us greatly. I'd suggest that we sell Martial, James and Pogba. We then replace Pogba with VDB and then invest heavily on a CB, a RW, a DM and a STK. I am thinking within these lines really

DM: Fred, Zakaria
MC: VDB, McT
AMC: Bruno, Mejbri or Hakan (free)

RW: Jadon, Greenwood
LW, Rashford, Diallo

STK: Haaland, Cavani
