I'd share the screenshot, but he included his address in it and it's probably unprofessional to dox him. What did he say?
I wouldn't even say it's just right wing types, the downsides of social media imo is it becomes it's own mini ecosystem and also how it's a perfect endless resource for news outlets who have a model based on live 24/7 breaking news. The fact is someone like Linehan became a giant transphobic whale with all different political cleaner fish profiting off his outbursts and attacks on trans people.Right-wing types, even journalists, deliberately exaggerate incidents and that makes it appear as though the politically-correct are taking over the world. The language used is a dead giveaway, from headlines like 'Now they want to ban Christmas!' to descriptions of just about everything progressive as 'socialist/Marxist/communist'. Entire mainstream news stories can be published on the 'strength' of one outraged tweet from no-one of significant standing.
Completely agree with you here. A while back I spent some time just trying to understand why these people called themselves "gender critical feminists", I listened to the lectures they gave, read interviews from them and the one thing which really stood was a complete lack of evidence for any of their claims, they had nothing but rants on PC Culture, one off headlines from the Daily Mail and open bigotry. These instigators need to outrage and motivate people with lies because, in reality, they have nothing; but they desperately need to maintain the status quo for reasons of power, influence and money. They are lackeys to the rich and powerful, exploiting those who fail to understand the modern world, life's inevitable changing nature, those brought up in an age when the media were deemed trustworthy, and also those who are wilfully ignorant.
I've been reading everything from very po-faced and superior (in tone) books about 'the origins of the British artistic imagination', Clark's Civilisation etc etc & also tweets about the 'Covid hoax'; and this has been instructive and depressing reading. All of these, though varied in mood for sure, hint that we are primitive people and obsessed with the negative. Clark, in particular, congratulates himself and his nation by way of contrast, highlighting the wild-eyed and visible madness in European paintings which he claims are evidence of the madness of mobs in 'other countries'; unfortunately, he's snobbishly oblivious to the truth that this is a British disease too.A while back I spent some time just trying to understand why these people called themselves "gender critical feminists", I listened to the lectures they gave, read interviews from them and the one thing which really stood was a complete lack of evidence for any of their claims, they had nothing but rants on PC Culture, one off headlines from the Daily Mail and open bigotry.
What a sad man. With no more Twitter, Linehan has had to find new ways to spend his time. He's now creating profiles on dating apps, hilariously and originally posing as trans, in an effort to out people.

Yep there's no other word for it.he really is pathetic
Their existence.I don't understand whats going on here. Whats his beef with the trans community?
He seems on a mission to "protect women" (his perspective not mine). I think it's mostly to do with trans women using women's toilets and changing rooms, and some women being upset with this. Quite why hes got himself so deeply involved I don't know. I suspect there's a terf activist he wants to bang. That little blonde milf probably.I don't understand whats going on here. Whats his beef with the trans community?
He sees himself a standing up for cis women who are having their spaces - online and in real life - invaded by trans women. He also sees himself as a white knight to lesbians, protecting them from unwanted advances from trans women and the “erasure” of cis lesbians from queer culture. Or something like that anyway.I don't understand whats going on here. Whats his beef with the trans community?
Another reading of it is people didn't like an episode of The IT Crowd and he spiralled from there. For real.He seems on a mission to "protect women" (his perspective not mine). First time that really struck me was with Charlie Zelanoff. The mentally ill delusional who think he’s the greatest boxer in the world. He goes to pro gyms to start fights with boxers and then runs away when they start throwing punches. He decided to film himself doing this and posted it all on YouTube. For the first time in history we are getting to see the thinking of madmen in action. It used to be they'd lose their marbles in private, and would end up shouting at their family, or in a park shouting at pigeons. Now we get an inside track to the meltdowns thanks to the internet.
Yea I think I seen that. It makes you think though when you watch some people on YouTube whether they are mentally stable or not, I suppose it would be hard to tell for the untrained. Charlie Sheen's meltdown is the most famous example.First time that really struck me was with Charlie Zelanoff. The mentally ill delusional who think he’s the greatest boxer in the world. Problem is it’s not just him. The whole terf movement, particularly in the uk, is batshit crazyYea I think I seen that. This guy is clearly losing it. Why would anyone feel the need to care so much that they pose as transgender on the Internet to out people. Bizarre.
Love Limmy but feck me he takes his time telling a story.
my thoughts tooLove Limmy but feck me he takes his time telling a story.
I could listen to his improv stories all day but actual, real stories from him is like getting blood from a stone.Love Limmy but feck me he takes his time telling a story.
That whole "does this look like a woman/is this a woman" complete with accompanying picture of what would be considered an overweight/unfeminine/unattractive person argument, that was massively popular with Glinner and other antitrans "feminists" on twitter a couple of years ago and seemingly still popular with Glinner today, is fecking nuts. Absolutely, opposite-world lunacy. Also (and this is a minor point) mocking people for the way they look is generally an unpleasant thing to do anyway and a lot of the time it seems to be his go to way of criticising people.
Basically I suspect that even if I was a TERF I would think he's a needlessly unpleasant prick. And I say that with some confidence as before he went mad and was just some guy posting liberal stuff I agreed with on twitter, I thought he was needlessly unpleasant prick.
Even if you are a die hard biological fundamentalist TERF, trying to protect XX, mensturating women at any cost, that argument should scare the shit out of you. It's a misogynistic attack.Glinner on his blog said:To be serious for a second. I’m not JUST doing this for the laugh. I’m doing this to demonstrate that it’s impossible to tell the difference between men and self-identifying ‘transwomen’.
Literally, because someone criticised his portrayal of a transwoman on the IT crowdAnyway, he’s got so utterly consumed by squabbling online I doubt that even he can remember how it all started.
More than one.Creates legitimately a **** show guaranteeing life long fame then pisses it down the drain with this transphobe fascination.
Yes true but coincidentally I had been watching the Father Ted documentary right before spotting this thread.More than one.
Think it’s a Twitch thing. He’s constantly distracted. I’ve heard him chatting on a few podcasts and he’s been much quicker getting to the point.Love Limmy but feck me he takes his time telling a story.
