Ah lads leave him alone. Americans have a simailar thing. Support whatever team Brady or Lebron play as.
nah it's mental.Ah lads leave him alone. Americans have a simailar thing. Support whatever team Brady or Lebron play as.
We all support United ride or die. Some just has the same thing but for players. Not for me obviously since I couldn’t do that. It is weird though. But new age of fans and all that.nah it's mental.
I've found it's way worse with Americans. Europeans tend to obsess over individual players but they don't often change their supporting club. Instead they just transfer the obsession over to the new club as a secondary fascination. With Americans, I know loads that just outright changed their team because their favourite brand changed franchise.Ah lads leave him alone. Americans have a simailar thing. Especially since they still won’t win the CL this season, with or without him.It would just be a massive shame for him to sack it all off for City.
That’s what I said. They follow the player regardless of what team they play for.I've found it's way worse with Americans. I think it's gone beyond fanboy with him.Well at least this has this years fanboy of the year redcafe award sewn up. A nice easy win right there.
He could don his full Ronaldo kit or perhaps get a tailor made version of his favourite Ronaldo ballon d’or suit and when his winning award is announced he can yell SUUUUUUUU at the computer as we all applaud
Sorry, didn't realise I'd logged onto RonaldoCafeAh lads leave him alone. Americans have a simailar thing. Support whatever team Brady or Lebron play as.
Yeah, as soon as he left United that was it really. He was a great player for us, but we've had many great players. Don't get the hero-worship of him by United fans. He's a Real Madrid legend, not a United one. His best and most successful years were with them and I always associate him with Madrid, despite being a United fan myself.I can proudly say I stopped giving a shit about Ronaldo when he said we were treating him like a slave.
Spot on. He should be remembered here for being a great player for us, albeit for a relatively brief spell. Outside of that, he was generally a bit of a twat and agitated for a move to Madrid at the first opportunity. The love-in for him is quite bizarre really. He can sign with City for all I care. A great player but he never hides his favorite club is Real Madrid and he's after trophies. Our club was just one of stages where he worked to become a next level superstar and that's it. He doesn't care much about United, I hardly remember him attending any of our matches or even watching us on TV, whereas Rooney, Beckham, Berbatov, Van Persie do it occasionally.
Fair play to the guy, it's the first time someone actually admitted being a fanboy. And that silly word is thrown around a lot here.
One question @RedRonaldo, what does your wife think about Ronaldo obsession. Do you think about while doing.. You know.. Nudge nudge. You know what I'm talking about.
Absolutely this.He can sign with City for all I care.
Don't forget Evra and Rafael.
Whereas Ronaldo to me, he is more of “religion” or even a “****” thing to me,
that's just brilliant
Fair enough mate. Not trying to poke fun at you or anything like that I was just genuinely curious about this, but you’ve explained yourself well, and you are well aware of what you’re engaging in, so all I can say is thank you for taking our questions and all the best.Yes but, I assume everyone has some sort of unhealthy obsession on something (alcohol, sex, porns, gambling, smoking, football, music, politics, checking out birds, or even golfing etc) It’s just the degree of obsession isn’t same for everyone. If it’s manageable I think it’s perfectly fine.
Can't believe a United fan thinks like thatIf you're sat there cheering Ronaldo scoring goals for fecking City then you aren't a proper Utd fan.
This phrase is uber nauseous.their favourite brand changed franchise.
Ronaldo isn't your fecking son!
batshit mentalWell, this thread took a mental turn

fixed thatPlastic/murderer state wars.
Qatar sign Messi
UAE go after Ronaldo
Football is just a play ground for grubby sports washers and other corrupt billionaires
Law had to make a living. He wasn't a multi millionaire when United let him go.Exactly, schmeichel is still a legend. Law scored the goal that relegated Utd while playing for city. He's still a utd legend.
My thoughts on Ronaldo wouldnt change if he joined city. City wouldnt be getting that lighting fast winger, or the muscular powerhouse he was at madrid. They will be getting a 37 year old penalty box poacher.
Of course he did. And so did Andy ColeLaw had to make a living. He wasn't a multi millionaire when United let him go.
To me Schmeichel definitely did taint his reputation a bit.
So if City went into the last game needing to win otherwise United are crowned champions, you’d celebrate a Ronaldo winner in the 90th minute that hands them the title?Well afterall I am just a fanboy for very long period of time, it’s all about fanboy mentality, abit of **** thing in terms of my support/worship, I won’t be ashamed to admit it, as I have already stressed that I could only speak for myself.
Its very different thing as compared to traditional fan who would only support for their club. For me, I support both, almost equally.
In perspective, I will support Man Utd for the rest of my life, but I could only support Ronaldo for a few more years as he is approaching his retirement. With him joining our rivals for a short period of time, won’t stop me from cheering his goals.
In fairness that's because the players you have listed are retired, Ronaldo is still competing. I can't imagine Juve would be happy to see him in Old Trafford on a Sunday instead of in their line upHe can sign with City for all I care.
