Mental how many fans are so upset about this!

The guy showed his disloyalty to us plenty of times in the past. United fans need to get a grip.

Cnut. My first football shirt and my hero when I was younger.

Hope he and Guardiola fight each other after every game.

Who cares if he goes to City? He is what 36? 37? Of course he is still a very good player but he is not anywhere close to 4 years ago.
Messi almost bankrupted Barca, do people expect loyalty from a guy who left 12 years ago?

If City was "normal" I would actually be happy since it would be easier to buy Haaland. Of course being a toy club for some dictators, getting Ronaldo would not diminish their efforts for Haaland.

I thought he and Pep don’t get along? I’m just glad we have had the world class version of Ronaldo for two to three years and City are now getting a soon to be 37 year old to play in the Prem. He’ll score goals but why are Juventus getting rid of him?

From my point of view it's worse because we didn't at least give him an offer and aren't getting a DM either rubs it in even more

Still waiting for the Youthquake
To me its a bit more like Schmeichel and Cole (player going there at the end of their career after being really good for us earlier) than a tevez or Hargreaves type deal where there seemed to be some bad blood

Good luck to him wherever he chooses

The only plus point if he goes to city is a decent % of the ronaldo fan boys will finally acknowledge messi as the goat

Guys I think he's going to PSG. Mbappe will move to Real and Ronaldo is going to replace him at PSG.
PSG arent interested. I know there some crap rumours that float about but when Romano speaks, it's generally wise to listen. Only hold up before he signs for City is negotiation of a fee with Juve.

Is everyone in agreement though that this is a bad move by City? One that makes no sense and should be good for us (and others competing with them).

I can't believe that Pep would sanction this move. Just seems an epic waste of money.
No I hate it because they'll walk the league with him

Might even win the CL with the service he'll be getting there coming off his Juve stint where he ended up with the highest goal per game ratio in Serie A history in a squad starved of creativity.

I'm sick precisely because it pushes City over the top the same way Kane would have but the difference is that it likely pushes them over the top in Europe as well instead of just in the Premier League

The reports about us having to sell before we buy must be legitimate. Can't understand why we're sitting back and watching a player United fans adore go to our rivals.

Be hurtful to see a club great go there. But that will be the end of him. Tarnished, but if you really “love” the club you wouldn’t leave in the first place - especially if already competing for honours.

Why are people shocked he doesn’t give a shit about United? He called himself a slave when we didn’t want to sell him. He was using our name to get pay rises as early as 2012. He scored against us & flexed his abs like a twat.

feck him.

Ronaldo has probably looked at Messi's move to PSG to build a super team and now believes that he needs to make a similar move to ensure that Messi doesn't over take his Champions League trophy tally. I'm using my narcissist thinking cap to put myself in the shoes of a narcissist.
I think you could be on to something there.

Exactly. The love fest for CR7 on here has always been a bit of a mystery to me. I really didn't care for him anymore after he left. I can still appreciate him for being an amazing player, but that's about it as far as I am concerned. The only thing that would annoy me is that City would get an amazing striker. He might not be at his very best anymore but I'm affraid that he is still good for 30-45 goals in a season.
To be honest I didn't care much about Ronaldo when he was at United. Evra, Rio, Ole, and Rafael have always been players close to my heart and it wasn't always about their ability. If Barca and now PSG were playing at the same time as the United youth team I would be watching our youth team. I am passionate about United, not world-class players.

Too much noises now for him not to end up at City by the end of the week. Sucks seeing him in the shirt with a City badge on it but let’s not pretend they are getting him in his prime. Varane and Maguire will twat him in both games

Because he's 36 and costs a fortune?

correct, but doesnt mean he would have gone to Utd instead
Would have more of a chance though no?

I'm bemused that a club like United, who need a striker, is just letting this one go by without even a bid. Mental

I can't see him and pep working well together. I'm probably gonna be wrong, but I don't think they'll be good together
Pep gonna be raging when he witnesses Ronaldos pinball first touch at close quarters

Just three years ago, Real Madrid and Barcelona had won 5 UCLs in succession, had Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid is by far the biggest club in football history. I hate them, but that's the truth.
Depends on how you define big. They’re the most successful club in European club competition but that doesn’t make them the biggest. Do they have the most legendary players to have played for them? Arguably, but Barcelona would have something to say about that. Do they have the biggest stadium? No. Are they the best supported club in the world? Also no. It’s a tricky discussion with no clear answer.

Actually Ronaldo to City doesn't really bother me. In a lot of ways it could be a good thing for football... eventually. The faster and more aggressively the oil clubs stock up all of football's crown jewels the more it highlights the ridiculousness and unsustainability of the situation. You'd hope eventually enough people would become fed up with the sport being hijacked by nation States and there might be a push to do something about it.

Mendes is in Paris right now
Hoping that’s where he ends up, would be a spectacle to see him and messi play together.

Cant see either player being too happy about sharing the limelight though.

Of course we have to sell to buy. We are bankrupt and in debt. Anyway. Ronaldo to City is the final nail in his coffin. Honestly never tought he'd be that much of a cnut. But thats just me. Don't know how Old Trafford will respond when he comes out in a blue City shirt. Hope they give him all the abuse they can.
