There’s no reason at all for Ralf to play Martial. He’s deadwood whom we could possibly sell, maybe to a Turkish or Russian club, for 5-10m. If Ralf plays him he might get injured, scuppering any possible sale. Much better to give Diallo a runout if Ralf needs to reach deep into the squad.

He may have been largely ineffective the last 18 months, but he is a level above this, and worth more. I have no doubt that were he to move on, with a new challenge that he could find the form he showed 2 seasons ago. He's only just turned 26 ffs.

Honestly don't get not playing him right now with the way our other forwards have been playing. Am sure it's a question about how motivated he'd be but, it's a simple enough solution. He's been told we will entertain an offer that is good for the club - how does that happen, go out there, perform really well, work your ass off out there, show any suitors out there what you are worth and see who comes for you. You win by getting wish to leave and club gets good performances.

I don't know how many times Greenwood got brushed off in game against Villa and Rashford on the left can't seem to go past a player and visually mood wise is just as "lazy" as anything Martial shows. At least we might get a player who will pass the ball and hold it up better for a few games instead.
If martial cares about his future he would have fought harder years ago and he wont find himself in this predicament.

If he's smart the less he play the bigger the chances stupid clubs think he's still good and offers him 150k per week.

The less he playes the higher his price

But his wages have to be taken into account. Anyone who can afford 25m plus 250k/week will want to shoot much higher than Martial, and those clubs who would be willing to settle for Martial can’t afford both a massive fee and a message wage.

We should have a poll what we think we’ll sell him for given our poor record at selling players for decent sums. He’s technically at an age where he should be in the prime of his career now.

There are reasons. To squeeze out utility from the asset and to raise his sale value. The first one is important because if we're going to disband this squad in a few months we should use every single player collecting wages to the fullest to try win a cup.

This is one of the oddest threads on here because of the sheer amount of people totally opposed to discussion about the club trying its actual fecking asset that's collecting salary to do nothing. People want to win games not play fanboys vs haters.

If Pogba were available today I'd want him playing games till he officially left. Cavani has one foot out the door and is playing every other game and no one cares. Let's apply that same level of indifference till he's gone to see if we the club can get something out of it. If he stinks up the joint then back to the bench he goes till summer, no problem.

Yet another player who doesnt want to be here, on a huge salary, didnt fulfill his potential and on a streak of bad to average performances. Yeah, that will fetch a lot of potential buyers for sure..... on a discounted price.

We shouldn't be paying him if he isn't going to fulfil his contract and be part of the playing squad. Make him train on his own till the summer.

Hopefully puts to rest the fan boys that are still clamouring for his return, he's done here.
Of all the player cultists his have been by far the most insufferable. Hopefully he takes them with him if and when we get him out.

What an absolutely toxic player to have around. That new contract was a disaster and it was obvious at the time. An albatross around the club’s neck.

He's gotta get his agent on the phone and tell him to do better.

We want to sell but nobody's buying.

Didn’t want to be in his squad? Feck him. Why hasn’t his contract been terminated? Shouldn’t be getting wages, shouldn’t be getting access to training facilities.

He must be very sure someone is going to give us what we want for him,.

I like that Rangnick doesn't sugar coat how things are.

refusal to show up is grounds for termination so I half expect his contract to be renewed. The new United way.

A player that actually has downed tools. It was really strange that we only had 8 subs. This makes sense. Get him out of the club.

Not sure what people are so bothered about, it's not like anyone in here rates him and he hasn't been in the squad once since Ralf came in.

We had two goalkeepers on the bench and a total of 8 players, and people are annoyed that Martial, with Ronaldo and Rashford out, didn't want to be number 9

This is no joke. It's time for the board to show some balls and literally sack players who act like this. They won't do it in a billion years, though, the spineless cnuts.

I think it's completely legitimate to have an issue with Martial refusing to show up for work when he's fit and supposed to be available, and getting paid an absurd wage for it.

he already has 1 foot out; hope that’ll be 2 soon. We are performing terribly, but still I don’t think he can add anything to improve the team. He’ll probably make us worse

What a waste. What else is happening behind the scenes? The prima-donna behaviour of some of the players makes me think the atmosphere is absolutely disgusting.
