I'll happily admit I'm wrong but I just don't think he's very good.
He is a good player (when he’s actually in form), he just has one too many fundamental flaws to his game.

Showing a pair of balls to come out in the post match interview at least.

Own what? Bruno at his best is exactly the type of player Klopp loves. Klopp and Liverpool would get Bruno at his best without any problems. Literally all there is to it. Nobody is saying we are picking up the exact same version of Bruno and placing him there. Its what Bruno has shown in the past and can be. Same for Varane and sancho.
Nah, Bruno will disrupt Liverpool's formation. He will never get into this Liverpool team.

They don't play with a playmaker and Bruno's stubbornness to keep getting forward in positions he has no business being in just to score goals will get into Salah and Mane's way, and they're both far better and more consistent than him. Klopp uses the midfield mostly to press and get the ball to the forwards to do their job, while Bruno just wants to play as SS to pad his stats.

Zero chances of Klopp taking him into this Liverpool side. He loves high energy and risky players sure but Bruno lacks any positional disciplinary and will just harm their team more than benefit it and all for the sake of his stats.

Also I doubt Klopp will like a flat track bully. Bruno has been shit for pretty much every big game he has played for us, or at best, 99% of them, even when he was in his "good" form.

That ball to Sancho in the second half was world class. He needs to do this more but he was playing CDM today so I’ll let him off.

Can't wait for us to look like a football team again under Ten Hag and everyone eating their words about guys like Bruno and Sancho
I have no doubt that Sancho will dominate, technical and intelligent player. Bruno, however....not so much

People have been telling me that about De Gea for close to a decade. Sancho has some hope of a top career and being in a very successful side. Bruno? I just don’t see it. He’s 27 now, in his peak years, yet Portugese cup football and the Europa League has been his level. Still never been in a title race, whether in Italy, Portugal or England, and disappears in virtually every match against a top side.

Building around him is a fallacy. You will get goals and assists, but your side won’t function reliably carrying someone with such poor positional sense, questionable mental maturity, and severe indiscipline in retaining position. It is De Gea all over again; he’s exceptional in one sense, yet dire and shows no signs of improvement in his areas of weakness.

I can't believe we gave him a new contract. Nothing is going to change at this club until we get rid of all the nepotism and hire people based on merit. I might be being unfair in pointing this out but I don't understand why in the world Darren Fletcher is involved? What exactly are his credentials to be helping out with recruitment and management at the club?

Rotten from inside.

He is terrible stat padder. And he has zero connection with our strikers. Always give the ball late, always do 1-2-3-4-5 unnecessary touches more and slow our attack, and his finishing is terrible as well.

Board giving him that salary is begging for sacking. Everything it's coming from their incompetence, otherwise we wouldn't end up with managers like Ole and Rangnick.

It’s certainly not something I’d associate with his game. It’s always reckless, whether it works out or not.
He couldn't even play a controlled game in Portugal. He isn't going to do it in the Premier League where time and space is much more limited.

One of the first steps of becoming a top team again is moving away from players like Bruno. We need players who, regardless of goals and assists, excel in their general play.

There's a reason he was playing in Portugal in his mid 20s and no other big clubs went for him.

Of course a fool and his money are easily parted as soon as we rock up.

Oof. I fear that's alarmingly on point.

Not impressed with his “we have nothing to fight for” interview comment. Imagine being paid hundreds of grand a week to play football for Manchester United, and needing some other reason to actually fight and put in some effort. Beggars belief.

We weren't going to be able to sell him anyway so at least he should've been kept under his old contract which would've seen him at the club till he's 31.

If there’s ever a player in need of a new manager it’s Bruno. I’ve no doubt he’ll be back to it next year. The lads carried us for 2 years.

Lo behold, another player who can get the feck out of the club. I defended him because I thought he was one of the few players in this car crash of a team who understood what it meant to wear the shirt. Turns out I was fecking wrong.

Still have some goodwill left after his first two seasons but seriously dislike that attitude in the post-match interview. He needs to evaluate himself this summer. Stop screaming for freekicks when there isn't any contact and stop giving away the ball needlessly.

Bruno at his best is a brilliant player and I think people have been a bit too harsh in judging his performances this season.

My main concern with him is that I generally think playing a pure number 10 is just asking for trouble these days. I honestly wonder how much of our trouble over the last few years has come from us spending hundreds of millions on Fernandes, Van De Beek, Pogba, Mata ect rather than just signing 3 good central midfielders.

Bruno actually just said we’re not fighting for anything this season. Yes you are.
He then said we play for a big club
He said we cannot give up
He said the players who drop their head should be left out
He said the season cannot end yet

Why did you miss that out?
