Wish Martial had performed at Sevilla so we could have taken Konde instead of Timber, Konde is twice the player Timber is currently.
But will he be so in 12 months time. Timber is a generational talent

Yikes!
It will be interesting to see how Barcelona cope when clubs won’t be held to ransom by them knowing they don’t have a lot of money to spend unless they manoeuvre it in other ways.

Strange one considering their current midfield depth but looks like he could end up at Real Madrid unless he does and Mbappe.

I get what you’re saying but I still think we overpriced him for that market, same as we overpriced Lingard for a loan to Newcastle. We overpriced and we lost out. They may have cash but they’re not stupid. Now he will sit on our bench, getting salary that could have been used elsewhere.
Lingard refused to be sold to Newcastle on a permanent, he only wanted a loan.

Club shouldn't let players waste away their contracts on loan, especially when they are refusing permanent transfers because they want the sign on a free. Have them rot away on the bench instead and don't reinforce that behavior.

Lingard is a cnut

Is this guy on the last year of his contract or something? That offer seems incredibly cheap.
Bayern does these incredible deals which we as United fans can only dream about. We will pay over the top for FDJ and Timber and that still wouldn't be enough to solve over midfield woes.

I live in the real world where I see how much of a spend we have. Blowing 20 million on a championship right back won’t be high on Ten Hags agenda. Enjoy being disappointed….
I'm glad you and Erik are in communication, please deliver the scoops on his plans, plus I have no idea who this £20M championship RB is,
I don't recall suggesting anyone to sign in the position, I just pointed out our options are garbage, but sure lets spend €70M on cover for Ronaldo while we keep starting AWB or Dalot every week despite the fact they're crap, that's a great plan.

I get that but we wanted a silly loan fee, something like 10m if they stayed up.
Newcastle rightly told United “away and shite man”

It really is boring now watching Barcelona complain about their financial situation and issuing warnings, then going on to "We'll sign player X, and y, and z..."

So they’re after Lewandowski, Alonso, Raphinha and Sterling? And apparently they are likely to face problems registering Kessie and Christensen?
What exactly is the plan here?
Offloading a lot of deadweight like Depay, Dembele, Umtiti, Lenglet etc.

He wasn't a regular starter here, just at a relegated Norwich side that was one of the worst in PL history, he's looked Championship level.
He had 36 appearances in 2019/20 and most of those were starts. He got benched the following season hence his loan move to Norwich where people have said he's been one of their best players with him playing 26 out of the 34 games he was eligible for.

That was across all competitions, he was hardly a mainstay in the team, just an average squad player at a time when our fullback situation was in flux. As far as being good in that Norwich team, they were complete trash so I'm not sure that means he was good or just better than the dross, but look, if he gets a PL club great, we get more money, but I think he's more likely destined for the Championship long term.

Well that's not what I'm arguing. I'm saying if we decide to sell him he's going to a Premier League level club. Regardless of whether you think he's good enough for the level and is a Championship player in the future.

Much of Barcelona's activity regarding Raphinha's being conducted via Deco and possibly other intermediaries.

Source: Mundo Deportivo (Gabriel Sans)

Leeds United and Barcelona haven't gotten in touch with each other, and I wouldn't be surprised if Leeds have communicated their demands via Deco or one of their own intermediaries. One thing's for sure: this'll drag on for a bit longer until both Leeds & Barcelona meet each other directly.

You jumped onto my reply to another poster about them wanting Spence at United, who is a championship right back.
I didn’t we needed a 70 million striker as cover for Ronaldo, think that’s one of those thing’s in your head you can’t let go of. Much like me being in communication with anyone who manages United, last 1 I spoke to was Sir Alex a long time ago very briefly.
I’m simply pointing out areas where we have 1 player to cover the position for 50 odd games per season will be the priority. I get that you don’t accept that reality, so like I said enjoy the disappointment.
