The record for maximum number of stops in a race is held by Alan Prost, who in Donington Park 1993 made 7 stops and still finished 3rd.

Ferrari gunning for the record

So if it's so obvious to everyone that putting Leclerc on hards was stupid, why did Ferrari do it anyway? I mean, they're not that dumb, are they? Surely there was some kind of reason that made some kind of sense to whoever made that call? If so, what was it?

Must be so incredibly frustrating for Leclerc. All drivers get fecked by dodgy strategies every now and then but with Ferrari it’s borderline written into the contract that it’s going to happen 50% of the time.

Max is lapping faster than the softs so far while managing tyres. And those softs will be used up by the last few laps anyway.

Rain or reliability the only things that could change this.
Max is faster? What race are you watching, lewis is setting fastest lap after fastest lap

-Ferrari team strategist shaking a red, Ferrari emblazoned magic 8-ball-

‘What-a tyre shall we use next?’

-Hard-

‘We use-a the hard tyre now!’
‘But the Alpines have shown them to be shit?’
‘LISTEN TO THE MAGIC BALL’

Everybody is kinda surprised tbh. My guess is they expected to go all the way without an extra pitstop?

Sainz has had another very poor day. No strategy excuses for him, he’s just been shit

Too early for softs and couldn’t do medium again. They should’ve stayed out a bit longer to get into the window for softs like they did with Sainz. Instead they panicked and was forced to use hards.

Ferrari had to do med-soft-med or med-med-soft like they did with Sainz

Those were the only options but they shat themselves

That would be daft. Fastest lap holder isn't a treat to anyone in the championship. Perez needs to focus on keeping Leclerc behind him.
Well I full expect Leclerc to get ahead on the faster / fresher tyres.
But mostly because I have Perez for fastest lap on the fantasy

Sainz has eaten up his tyres today...pitted the earliest of the mediums in the first stint as well

Merc would finish above Ferrari in the championship if they were driving shopping trollies and Ferrari had jet engines.

What a drive from Lewis. Another double podium for Mercedes. Looking good for 2nd in the constructors.
