With the greatest respect are you watching mate? Firstly, he wasn’t “decent”. Secondly he’s been playing RCB ever since ETH came in. Martinez is not competing for RCB as he’ll never play there as he’s left footed.
A CB needs to know how to lead from the back and organize a team and organize themselves as a group. His pace causes serious issues and he has no idea how to deal with it. He has no idea how to form an understanding with any other player on the pitch with us. He's just not a good defender.
No. Nobody pressing with any intensity causes the issues. You can’t have a high line without pressing - you can’t give them time on the ball.
