His intensity is the first thing I noticed when I watched him for the first team in the Cl final, he plays like it matters.

And @KirkDuyt he looks far more ready for this level than you expected.

Love this little dynamo chipmunk - did well against one of the best plyers he'll probably come up against in Salah and put himself about

The energy that he and Martinez had such a difference compared to Maguire and Shaw.

My MOTM. First full start in a new league against one of the best forwards in the league, world even, and he was not fazed one bit. Kept Salah quiet all game. Credit to the lad. Shaw's career as a starter here is done.

Yeah he's kinda shit at it
I wondered if we were trying to do some kind of corner routine that didn't pan out, because he sent both of them really long. If that's just him taking a corner then yeah it's not good  but aside from that he looks like a gem

Played like a mad Tasmanian Devil.

Could give light to an entire city with the energy he gives.

Superb.

I'm delighted with him but yeah his crosses need some work

He's kinda short so I guess we just figured having the shortest guy take them.

He does! Though I will still keep a tiny bit of reservation on how he'll do against the lesser teams, especially offensively. He was always fantastic for us in the big games too, but could be a bit eratic or sloppy against the minnows.

I'm really happy his debut against Salah of all people went this well. Hope he will be your new Evra :)

Good game from him. Was worried pregame, didn’t want his confidence torn to shreds. But he came out of that game with an excellent defensive performance. I wanna see his attacking game when we play weaker sides.

He is our first choice left back. He will have weaker games but we should stick with him. Shaw can be a back up.

We bought young and hungry......

Says it all.

Brilliant signing, if they can flog Shaw I'd keep Williams was back up happily.

Quality performance. We're bringing in the right players finally I'm sure of it.

Great performance, but I wanna see him on the ball and what he can do offensively before we start calling him our left back for the next 10 years

Absolutely top class, just what I expected of him really and should've been starting the whole time. Very committed and skillful and has the best attitude. He's like the Anti-Shaw who thinks he can put his feet up after a good 4-6 months in his entire United career, gain weight and stroll around.

He seems to like the big occasion, I think he was your best player in that ecl final as well, or one of the best at least.

Hard to pick my favourite between him and Martinez, but he is bloody fantastic. Lot of faith in Ten Hags eye for talent, based on how well he's adapted.

Thank us (Feyenoord) later. This guy is brilliant and Man Utd got him for only 15 million. Absolute beast and one of the best buys in terms of increasing value as well!

Was fecking fantastic and I had a feeling I'd really like him when we brought him.

But for the love of God, get him off corners!
never took a corner for Feyenoord as well. Just lacks the technique to consistently take good corners. Not one of his many strengths!

He does need to improve a lot, but he's amazing for his intensity and potential
Improve a lot, , sure there's always a potential, but he's already looking like bringing more to the table than Shaw. Very solid in defence and positive going forward. His basic level is already good enough because, his reactions, aggression and attitude is great. If he improves a lot we have a world class player.

He will have a few highlights from this game but the one I loved was when he went for a sliding tackle on Salah near the corner made a contact but didn't quite win it only to instantly get up and get the ball first to prevent the corner. Can't see Shaw ever doing this unfortunately (for him).

What's the best about him is his mentality to play on the front foot and aggression, with Casemiro, no Ronaldo and a couple of good additions we can start to build a modern team finally.
